Had the priviledge of working at Chris Cox's dude ranch near Dubois, Wyoming for 2 seasons. Fell in love with Friday Night Rodeo. What a treat to pray and watch Chris's daughter, Charlie run barrels, and his son, Case ride the small bulls. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments, especially the babies. They are some x-tra cream of the crop. God bless you, your family, your horses, your ranch, your comings and goings. May he send his protective angels to watch over and protect and keep safe you, your family, and your 4-legged family. Definitely excited to be watching this guy! I'm in the process of purchasing a phenomenal OTTB mare, as my barrel and Western performance horse/ future broodmare, for a future program of appendix barrel and Western performance foals. (Not all barrel sires, looking at pleasure, roper and cow horse sires as well.)

Hello, Fallon I have a question do you have tips on turning the barrels my horse cuts to the side when I turn and goes so far he’s barrel raced before but he just miss the first one every time. Tips lol

It's hard to swap to a horse that rides different than what you're used to. I give you props for how well you're doing post partum. It's a testament for staying in shape, focusing on your health, no matter how crazy life is, and making the time to ensure you are focused on your priorities, but also realizing that balance is one of those words people throw around to make others feel like failures and calling it like it is.

Maybe somebody associated with your team or circle of friends could learn to rope a horse. Wouldn't that be a quick way to catch a horse that needs to go to the vet? The neighbor that raises longhorns probably has some roping skills.
If I'm misunderstanding the situation, then please disregard. Just trying to be helpful, based on what came to mind when you described spending hours trying to catch the mare.
