Sadly the redevelopment never happened . The English FA we’re going to renovate the ground to host the World Cup , but in the end Russia hosted it and not England so the plans got scrapped

I am a Luton fan. I think Hillsborough is one of the best stadiums in England...my favourite after the mighty Kenilworth Road of course. But this is wrong. It’s just trying to make it into one of these IKEA out of the box stadiums. That Leppings Lane roof...will it be borrowed from Anfield when Liverpool are not playing!

Hillsborough used to be one of the best in England but it's old and crumbling now and the owners need to invest in either a brand new stadium, a ground share with Utd dare I say it or redevelop it properly. I don't like the look of this redevelopment. It looks cheap as fuck tbh and the Wednesday supporters deserve better. I have always had a soft spot for Wednesday be ause of the John Sheridan and Alan Quinn connection. Quinn especially because he was born in my home town of Bawnoge, Clondalkin in Dublin and he was a very good professional. I know most will probably call him and me now all the names under the sun because he went to the rivals but he gave his all for Wednesday and he actually turned down a move to Everton FC to stay at Hillsborough to try and win promotion back to the #epl straight but alas it wasn't to be.. Hillsborough is very similar to Vila Park in a lotta ways. They're both iconic grounds in the English game and hold so much History and are probably part of a few grounds that haven't hanged much in 40 odd years bar a new stand maybe but not much I'd say.. I hope Wednesday get back to. The Premier League one day soon because they have the makings of a big club there, far bigger than their rivals across the way btw

Ut, Wed's & Villa were part of the original #epl when it first formed but nowadays ur club, I take it ur a Blade, has grown into a decent club with really good players and a top manager who are flying in the league. Wilder has managed to get a group of honest to good pro's and made a brilliant team there and good luck to u all. That's well meant too BTW. I wish we were able to keep pace with down at Villa Park but it looks like relegation may well be on te cards again this season. We wasted 3 yrs in the championship fucking about and this is the cost we are paying now. We're getting taught valuable lessons in this league. We've played well in most games up til we played u lot and u smashed us except for Jack's brilliant goal again. Jack and McGinn and Mings will run for the hills soon if it doesn't improve and I can see our support base turning in our coaching staff as well as the players too very soon. I hope not bcos Dean Smith is a good coach but he's learning lessons too about this league. We've been too open and easily cut apart in a lot of games. We have another long tough run of games coming now & I don't see us getting any thi g out of most of them. Norwich, Southampton and Watford should've gotten us at least 5-7pts Ut we managed only 3 & now it looks bleak. We can still stay up but we have to pick up results soon otherwise we'll find ourselves cut adrift and in this league it's bloody tough to turn round a losing streak. Leicester managed it a few yrs back but they had leaders everywhere on the pitch. We have very few atm and our players need to step it on up now and start to win games quickly. Even if we get relegated I want Smith to continue to rebuild our football club. We need a good striker in Jan. Doubt there'll be money to spend though. We need Tammy back tbh. Love Hillsborough. So much History here. Iconic stadium, not many of these big traditional stadiums left. But I have to say, with a heavy heart it should not be redeveloped any more. The location limits Hillsboroughs development. The river down oneside....which occationally floods and Victorian terracing to the rear of North Stand and Leppings Lane. Relocation and new stadium is required maybe in image of Hillsborough. Had perfect opportunity when Don Valley Athletics stadium was available....Good transport links ect. Any ideas were now....?
I have been going there when we stood up at the Leppings lane end, on the Kop, and in front of the south stand, and before the cantilever stand was built. So I would like to see some standing areas re-introduced, and half of adjacent street turned into multistory car park. The area around S6 has been turned into a slum, and also needs serious redevelopment.

Thousands of Liverpool fans didn’t have tickets to the match and forced their way into the ground causing the crush in the central pen in the leppings lane end. Wednesday had nothing to with it as the fans and the police were at fault. You should be ashamed yourself

These plans were drawn up in 2009, so way before Liverpool's main stand design was announced.
