As a beginner this is so confusing but the skirt looks so pretty and I really wanna try.
hello! yes i'm sorry i completely agree with you I formatted this poorly. It actually is a easy skirt to do but the resources I couple with it overcomplicate it. I'm redoing this video/tutorial and I promise you it will be beginner friendly! 🤎
pleaseee can you redo it as i want to make this skirt for a party at the end of may
could you do a tutorial for the top in the thumbnail, i love it!
Would love to see a tutorial for the top in the thumbnail!
Thank-you! It's been on the back burner for so long but I've already begun creating a resource for this sewing pattern and I'll have it up soon!
So did you cut two different pieces of the fabric using the same pattern.
? One for the front of the skirt & one for the back?
could u do a how to make a lace maxi skirt?
how can i alter this to make the slit at the side ?
Do you recommend a bias cut for any of the skirts?
the fabric you'll likely work with for this skirt would be a knit fabric which has a slot of stretch so there's no need to cut on the bias. I only cut on bias if the fabric has zero stretch and i'm trying to get some flexibility or better drape. So it isn't required at all for this kind of skirt! xx
what type of fabric are you using for this skirt
I used Bamboo Fabric in a heavier GSM of 265. This is the exact place I purchased mine from and the colour i bought is 'charcoal' 🤎 knitwit.com.au/shop/knitwit-bamboo-jersey-knit-fabric-2/
@@maretathreadshi they only shop to Australia and New Zealand only. Correct ?
Hey! Can I make this without an overlocker?
Hello! Yes you can! For the side seams I'd recommended a narrow ZigZag stitch and a ZigZag on the waistband & elastic too! I'll eventually do a tutorial for this with just one machine! 🤎
I want the pattern for the shirt 😊
keep your eyes peeled because i've been working on it and will be posting in the next few days! x
no look at the finished product??
Girl, your explanations are confusing to me sometimes- how to cut the fabric sounded more complicated than I think it is?
yes I agree with you it's definitely more intermediate focused. I realise that anyone who likely needs a video resource is more so in the beginner camp and so I need to reformat these kind of videos. I'll be reshooting this and will employ the use of just one sewing machine so it's more accessible - thank-you for your feedback 🤎
Would of been nice to actually see the skirt at the end .
