Fun fact: This was my first exposure to human centipede
I did not know it was a movie
I did not know it was a live action movie
You should have said as well
I didn't want to know this was a thing
I discovered this song 3 days ago now. I know what the basic premise is, and I’ve decided I am NEVER going to watch it. I prefer to keep my sanity in tact. Sleeping has been difficult enough.
I have heard of it before this. . . Never plan on watching it.
I read all three movies synopsis and decided from just that I would NEVER watch them. They get...extreme.
Same. I stumbled across this song on accident and looked up “Human centipede” on Google bc I couldn’t remember the name of the song. I was horrified 😭😭
I can't help but imagine him asking her to tell him the plot was less "I haven't seen the movie" and more "confirming that's the movie she meant."
i apologize for changing the like count on this comment from 666 to 667 but i am also not sorry
I've broke it from 777 to 778, bud 👋
It's in response to "I like it for the plot". He was trying to confirm what she viewed the plot as, thereby confirming what she actually liked about it.
It's also a way to determine both why and in which way she enjoys the movie. Like, it might be more understandable if she's like, "Okay, this is going to sound really weird, but hear me out..."
Instead she described the movie in one succinct sentence that tells you exactly why she loves the movie. Also the costume design.
She really sang "did I stutter?" for 2 minutes and 46 seconds straight
I can't decide which delivery is better - the animated version's manic glee, or Montaigne's chilling serenity
But both have Montaigne's gorgeous voice!
Wonderful rhyme
I definitely prefer the animated version.
I like how tom looks like he's forced to be calm rather then how he's more like,"i just wanna get out maybe people can notice" in this he's like,"tom, just go with it and you'll survive.."
Just for the "what is the plot about? German man sewing..." I would says animated xD
The pause between "Is this because your date is a freak?"
".... No"
Gets me every fucking time

I hate that the chorus is so catchy that my brain randomly pulls it up and I have to actively stop myself from loudly singing "hu-man Centi-pede" at work
Most people don't speak English in my country so I can sing it out loud and tell them it's a song about love or whatever (well it's actually about love)
This, 100%. I go to people's houses for in home service and I just know I have to hum because the lyrics might lead to law enforcement entanglements.

This song is the musical manifestation of an intrusive thought
EXACTLY! I work in child daycare and there's no way I can sing this even if it's living in my head!!!!
After seeing this I looked up the plot to The Human Centipede out of morbid curiosity, and I also read the synopsis of its two sequels. The sequels get pretty meta: in the second movie, the first human centipede movie is the main characters favourite and he attempts to create his own human centipede. In the third movie, a prison ward (?) has seen both the first and second human centipede movies and wants to make a human centipede out of the prisoners. Human centipede movies like to have other movies in the series canonically exist within them.
What am I trying to say? This video could have very well been the plot of another human centipede movie. I don't know if Tom did this on purpose, but if he did, that's very clever
Also it turns out that the 3rd movie is a dream in the mind of the doctor from the 1st movie
@@starvoyager2094 haven't seen the movies or read about them but doesn't this mean the second one was also a part of the dream since the third cant exist without the second and the second needs the first to have happened
@@shalevasor911 it was implied that the second one was a dream in the head of the killer from the second one
In a way, the whole trilogy is a "human centipede" in which each film is stitched to the asshole of the one that came before it only to loop back to the first one in a fun ouroboros of shit.

I don't know why it's such a funny visual to me but when Tom is standing up with a keyboard in his hand makes me laugh every time, especially at the end when he starts getting into it.
Tom playing his keyboard is always precious, he does a swaying thing that is entirely too cute and powerful.
I came from the animated one and didn't expect her to pull a KNIFE when he blinked
It's hilarious to me that *this* is the song where I first heard Montaigne, and not her fucking *Eurovision* entry song or something like that lmao
Well, here I think she *shines* WAY more than in Technicolor(you'll see what I mean when you see her live performance from Eurovision)
Yeah Australia should sent them together for a song. I only remembered her only due this song. She did poorly in Eurovision. On a bright side not as poor as Germany not sending Eskimo Callboy this year.
Eyyy same
I think the same! 🤣
Wait I don't think I ever heard off those songs-
Great Part: While she's giving off 'red flags', she never blinks.
Another Great Part: When Tom gets into the idea, he too stops blinking.
not really, they both do minimal blinking until the blinking in morse code part
That's because they don't want to miss a single second of human centipede
but like the whole song is called red flags so no
He doesn't really blink in the whole video, other than the intentionally blinking bit
She actually closes her eyes one single time, doesn't blink though
I _love_ how there's just _so_ much emotion in "I can finally open myself up to love" and then every emotion is _immediately_ ruined by "I can finally sew a mouth to a butt"
As much as I love the animated version, I'm always going to come back to the original because nothing can ever accurately capture the unnerneving intensity in Montaigne's eyes throughout the song.
I'm legitimately mad about that note Montaigne hit at 2:08 is for the lyric 'human centipede'. A talent
Montaigne goes far harder than she needs to, she guested on a D&D comedy podcast called Dragon Friends (ironically enough, Tom does the musical accompaniment on the later seasons) and performed an original song called Tiny Bud which, to quote the DM, was so much classier than their dumb comedy podcast deserves.
I mean she's competed in the world's biggest music competition: Eurovision Song Contest. So of course she's a talent!
