As some of the other commenters mentioned - you move pretty good between the various positions. I need 2 minutes just to stand up from the prone these days. Excellent job on the challenge and thank you for putting this video together.
Afternoon y'all, I want to get my first smoothbore and can't decide between a Brown Bess or a Charleville. Is there one that's better for getting started with flintlocks?
Brown bess is going to be cheaper to find a .69 caliber ball mold for then then the .64 caliber ball mold you would need for the charlieville however, if you did choose to go with the Charleville you can order a ball mold from ballmolds.com and as far as a starter would go, I would say that Charlottesville just for how much easier it is to clean and the fact that it has a finer front sight
@Real11BangBang Thanks man! I figure that both are pretty versatile being larger caliber smoothbores. I'm just not sure how easy the Brown Bess would be to clean given the pin attachment system for the barrel/stock.
