Another one who wants to "Celticise" (yeah, not a real word) Irish music. These are tunes handed down to the modern tradition by Irish musicians with a that real history and different imports and influences, not from some mythical "Celtic" past that never existed.
The picture is URQUART CASTLE which is near DRUMNADROCHIT overlooking LOCH NESS in Scotland. The tunes are: 1. THE KESH JIG 2. THE LEITRIM FANCY (NOT Kid on the Mountain which is a slip jig)
We always had this type of music in our home it was just amazing we used to listen to it have a nice Irish coffee or drink and talk about the good old days we listen to a day and night it just makes you want to get up and dance and dance I think people live much longer with this type of music 💯🍀🌈
I hope I was from Ireland or Scotland, because they song are something beautiful to listen, but I am from Malaysia, which is we didn't have any kind of this
What's the name of this song? I believe I've heard it before. Sounds like one my grandfather used to play on his fiddle. Please let me know! :D Thnx! Eire go Braugh.
In realtà si intitola "Paddy Jig"...i Flogging Molly hanno preso il tema e l'hanno usato come intro di "Salty Dog"...ma in verità è una classica Giga ^_^

where you all going with the celtic shite, its Irish traditional music and has been called that in Ireland since the beginning of Irish trad...
No it hasn't. Irish traditional music goes back 1000's of years, the English language only goes back about 900 years.
Looking for "Aubrie Foley's Jig" can anyone help?

The first bit sounds like the Kesh Jig and the last part like Rip the Calico. I believe Gaelic Storm did something like this called the Titanic Set.
Listening to this and letting your imagine run wild is one of the best thing ever
Listening to this makes me think of that and a fantasy series I wrote
Well, this music is wild, that is, untamed (unlike classical music, jazz and that kind of rigid and tamed stuff).
I was at the castle on the picture last week. Its at Loch Ness
Celtic Jig??
Why didn't you title it title it "Irish Jig, which is what it IS, or better yet "The Kesh Jig", which is the specific jig that it is.
Just a great Celtic Jig my Dad was from Ireland we play music at home just like this one love it

@fionabasshunter This is the Kesh Jig. It is played in a scene with Jack, I can't really remember. But this is a very traditional Irish tune.
Reminds me of Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth
