When you pass and have no one to handle your affairs what do you do? Who files your will/death? If you are being cremated family is suppose to sign paperwork at the funeral home to allow it. So what happens then if there is no family to sign? What if someone in the will dies before the money is distributed? Does the person's children get the inheritance or does it go to others noted in the will? Every t must be crossed and every eye dotted.

I know I've heard Paul talk about the subject of what happens to assets if a beneficiary pre-deceases you...Just watch more of his videos. Pretty sure this is something you specifically determine via language in your trust or will. For IRA accounts you can often specify "per stirpres" which causes assets to pass down to the deceased beneficiaries children.
What do you do if you have no family to handle your affairs when you die? Good question. Don't think I've heard Paul cover that one. Maybe you designate a corporate trustee and also make them your executor?

Can a corporate successor trustee be sufficient to take the place of a power of attorney? My sisters are all older than I am and my son is disabled. I'm planning to make a corporate trustee my successor trustee on my living trust. Just wondering if this "can be" enough...or if the trust language can "make it" be enough.
