Everyone has their own idea of Timeline Zero, and I was originally going to base this off of the timeline featured in / timeless-season-three , but then came up with my own. So, without further ado, here is the story behind it:
Flynn is recruited along with Wyatt and Lucy after Emma Whitmore steals the mothership for Rittenhouse. Flynn bonds with the team but gets increasingly frustrated as they fail to stop Rittenhouse again and again, so when he finds out about the Rittenhouse Summit in 1954, he decides to take action. Emma guesses his plan and Wyatt and Lucy try to talk to Flynn about it, but they’re shut down, When the team arrives in 1954, Flynn sneaks away and plants C-4 in the basement of the building where the summit is being held. Wyatt and Lucy realize that Flynn has gone off to do something and try to get there to stop him, but they are too late, Flynn gets caught in the crossfire of the explosion and dies.
Once they return to the present, Rittenhouse is still active, and Wyatt is having issues coming to terms with Flynn’s death. After spending months not thinking about anything else, Wyatt finally recruits Rufus and Lucy to help him go back in time and save Flynn. Lucy writes a journal telling him about the team and the work they do, Wyatt gives him an encouraging speech, and when they come back this time, Flynn is alive, he decided to fight for the team and trust their judgment about the summit.
That’s the gist. So, in terms of this timeline to the show’s timeline, the ending would be Timeline 1 and then the show would be anywhere from Timeline 2-Timeline Infinity.
