Such an elegant design, thank you so much for sharing! For anyone using 2mm cords instead, I just completed this project with 6 cords of 2mm. By the end of it, the shortest remaining extra string was about 15cm. So I guess if you're using 2mm cords, you can start with 6 cords of 300 - (2*15) = 270cm.
I've done it with DMC Nova Vita 12 recycled Cotton (~ 6 mm) and my pentagone is 22 cm wide, around 15 cm each side so quite big for a coaster. It really easy to do. As I wanted to be sure I had enough length, I used 6 meter cord and I can advice you that you will use for the longest at least 4,75 m. You won't use the same length for each cord at the end. I guess you can make the coaster smaller with only 5 strings. Hope it will help you.
I absolutely love this design but I only had 4mm on hand so I should have lengthened the measurements but I’m still rookie and learning from my own mistakes !! I will try again !!! Thank you for sharing ❤️ I made three part triangle and glue together and made a small bowl because I didn’t have the heart to take apart !
Love this, just completed one, I thought it wasn't going to marry up at the end, but all was good. Very pleased with it, so now I need to make a set, all different colours lol. Thank you very much for your excellent tutorial!
Oh another beautiful pattern and project for me to work on!! I am in love with your creations !!Each one is unique and beautiful. Love it all❤Thank you for sharing 🙏🤗❤
I tried this yesterday and it was so close. I did it but on the last string was no more space for some more knots. So for the next one I took 320 cm, that was enough.
Absolutely beautiful and well demonstrated. So glad you took the time to offer this video on your channel. I really appreciate your work and will be doing this project on my channel and I will let them know that you inspired it. Beautiful piece.
It looks so elegant! I have a question though: which side are you starting on? I’m only asking because I have left/right confusion syndrome, and I’d like to know if side starting matters…
Eu vi esse vídeo 20 vezes para aprender a discrição do vídeo não fala a quantidade de fios nem os tamanhos como não entendo nenhuma palavra apelo para olhar. Parabéns muito lindo
Thanks for this lovely pattern and video. Unfortunately, when I'm making the last set of triangle, my cords are too short after making 2 rows. Do you have any suggestions on what I can do?? I really want to finish this project, I know it will look lovely, so sad I'm short of cords at the end :(
Thanks for the tutorial! I have a little problem with the last triangle - if I don't knot all of them it has a few holes and gets wavy, but if I do knot all of them the triangle is too big and doesn't fit... any suggestions?
I was doing my second one when I took a break after finishing 2 sides. I continued on after some time and did 2 more sides and now I have a square. What did I do wrong? How do I fix it?
Bonjour Très belle réalisation et bien détaillé 😍 Combien de temps faut il pour cette réalisation? Les chiffres devant la transcription indiquent peut être le temps ? Cela ferait plus de 33h? Merci
Hi! I’ve made this twice so far with 6 x 3mm cord and I get 4 sides every time. I’m not sure what is happening haha But a 5th side makes the coaster wave up when putting the ends together. No idea what I’m doing wrong!
Hi, perhaps you made more knots in the rows. But pay attention to my video, I had also the last triangle is smaller than the previous ones. I relate the sides and unknot some knots at the end

Loved the tutorial. I made a smaller one, it end up with 7 rows for each triangle. I also try using 2 colors for the cords and I like the results.
Soo happy to read it♥️ thank you!
How many cm did you use for the cords to. Make smaller one?

Precioso y original trabajo 😍, para una cuerda de 5 mm cuantos metros necesitaría por hilo . Gracias por compartir ☺️
Hola.. Consulta se puede Individuales con este modelo??.. Cuántas cuerdas serían??.. El diseño sería el mismo??..
It's a beautiful design!
I followed the instructions, but it became a square instead of a pentagon. Where did I go wrong?
Same thing happened to me, no way to get 5 sections and also ran out of 3mm cord even after only 4 sections. Made a decent trivet though.
Parabéns. Trabalho maravilhoso adoro ver vc trabalha!!!!🙏❤️🌹
Obrigada♥️♥️♥️
I was doing my second one when I took a break after finishing 2 sides.
I continued on after some time and did 2 more sides and now I have a square.
What did I do wrong? How do I fix it?
Put the cord in the proper angle. Diagonal.
Can we make hexagon octagon shape using same procedure.
Beautiful. Is there a chance that if it gets wet it will unravel where you applied the glue?
So beautiful 😍
Lindíssimo!!!!! Parabéns 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

It's beautiful and you teach us very well
Thank you♥️
I love these! So creative! What is the brand/type of glue you are using at the end? And it holds it without eventually unraveling?
I used second glue gel from Pattex brand. the gel is very comfortable to work with and very strong
