Excellent! I'm the guy in glasses. Hope I had found this sooner XD Peace out!
Ayeee thank you so much! Yes I was that guy aswell haha! Me too xD I felt like this one really changed stuff for me some years ago. Thank you for your kind words😄
Thank you for essentially donating this information to the guitar community. This is exactly the lesson almost every intermediate guitarist should hear because it's so crucial to hitting changes. I am super disheartened cause i know it's gonna take a while to get down even a bit of it but I will try my best. I can validate that your lesson is on par with some of the best as I'm currently studying under Maestro John Baboian in Berklee and both of you recite the same jazz guitar principles. Bravo.
Ayeee thank you so much! Do you have any requests for my future videos? 😄 All the best, Eric
Man, I fell like this is the FIRST VIDEO...in all of the 13 years I've been on UA-cam which resonated 100% with me. I feel like you in the white shirt, from start to end of the video. Wish you all the best for your rise to the top. There's so many beginner guitar tutorials, blues, rock, metal....but so little comprehensive jazz tutorials. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Ayeeee thank you so much for all your kind words. This is exactly why I do this! Thank you for letting me know , your support and for being here enjoying my lesson! More lessons coming soon. Thank you! All the best, Eric
This is gold and exactly what i needed
Ayeeee thank you so much! I'm so happy to hear that. Greeting from Sweden my friend!
I thought my style is wrong but you proved it right and awesome.thank you.
I love the way this was shown. I'm sure it resonates with so many players. Excellent 👍🏾
Thank you so much! I'm happy to read that you liked it😄 If you want to get access to my 300+ lessons and masterclasses with TABs and everything, check out my Patreon! I got the link in my bio! Have a great day☺️🎸
All the best, Eric
You're so funny. I loved it. So proud of you.
You’re the best😘
Thank you Eric 🙏
I split playable notes into three groups:
1. Notes in the chord --> great
2. Notes in the scale --> be intentional but generally good
3. Chromatics --> be very cautious and intentional
Get to the choppa!…great lesson 😎
Ayeee thank you so much! How long have you been playing guitar? 😄 All the best, Eric
Playing for over 30 years, but never stop learning!
learned so much from this one! thank you😍

Amazing format of the video, like, really
Thank you so much🙏😄
Veeeery nice format Eric, so usefull to present things like this ! thank you !
Haha thank you so much! I’m still trying out a lot of things here on my UA-cam. I wanted to do this topic ”less boring” to teach haha. Should I do more lessons like this? I think it was much more fun to watch this then other guitar lessons out here on youtube haha
Totaly agree with you@@ericassarsson7976 !
I can act the other guy, do you want to try ? 😁
@@ericassarsson7976please do more lessons like this! I loved it! Very helpful, it was striking how well you could hear the chords changes without hearing the actual chords.
Amazing playing and production.
Ayeee thank you so much🙏😄 That made me so happy to read!
Eric love u bro u are a present from providence
Ayeee thank you so much🙏😄 That made me so happy to read! You're the best!!!
Great ideas of chord outlining using triads playing over scales solo - you make guitar learning more interesting to everyone watching your videos
Ayeee thank you so much🙏😄 That was what I was hoping for! I always feel like guitar lessons are boring. I really want it to be fun to learn haha
love you lessons, taught me so much!
Ayeee thank you so much🙏😄 That made me soo happy to read thank you for being here!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
The king of the kings🫡🤯❤
Thanks bro I learned something
Ayeee thank you so much! That's exactly what I wanted😄

Ayeee thank you so much🙏😄 That made me so happy to read! I really put a lot of work on this one and that makes me so happy. Thank you for your kind words!
New subscriber here very amazing video and fully informative video
Ayeee thank you so much😁
Oh man, this is a little gem, a really valuable lesson, lots of thanks!!!
I need to see it few times before to be aviable to assimilate this content, (i have work for this entire week...😅)
Lots of thanks for take the time to make this video, (Can't imagine how dificult was to edit the first part).
Cheers!!
Ayeeee thank you so much😁 This made me so happy to read! How long have you been playing for?
Woooww your playing is amazing! Your PATREON videos have subtitles?? here on UA-cam, I can understand what you are explaining because there are automatic subtitles.
Thank you so much!!! No not on all videos there. It took me 2 days to edit these texts. But there you will get the TABs and everything. You don’t speak english? If you understand me here I think you will understand a lot of what I have on my Patreon😁
How to get this proficient with triads and the fret board that you directly know: Oh that’s an Am7 triad ? Do you use a special trick or the CAGED System for that ?
This is actually helpful
Ayeeee thank you so much! I'm so happy to hear that. Greeting from Sweden my friend!
Hey Eric thank you so much, this was such an interesting and useful lesson! I've been playing for many years jazz/soul fingerstyle with harmony & bass lines, kind of solo guitar inspired by Tuck Andress, Martin Taylor, etc achieving modest results considering I'm only an amateur guitarist.. But I completely neglected soloing. It's time to put some work in! In fact I am really tempted to become a patron tier 2 so I can have a one-to-one lesson. You might hear from me again! Thanks again 🙏😀
Hey man! Yes I got you. I totally understand. Join my Patreon and we will schedule our first lesson together! I'm flexible! Also thank you so much for your kind words. Sorry for my late reply. Talk with you soon man! Cheers from Sweden
I wish I could start playing then. That would be a fine thing
How long have you been playing for?
@@ericassarsson7976 Just over 6 weeks so I'm very new haha! Loving it so far, every day I can't wait to pick it up.
Not sure which to be more impressed with the guitar conent or the acting
I feel targeted lol xD im totally stuck on pentatonic. excited to give all your tips a try!
Hahahaha
24k gold.
Great video! I'm still team scales. It's all from the same family tree. If you play the scales, yes you should be cognizant of the chords. And on the contrary, the chords are within those scales. Your phrasing will also breakup the static scale sounds as well.
Ayeee thank you so much! How long have you been playing guitar for? 😄 All the best, Eric
@@ericassarsson7976 About 15 years. But I'm always learning lol.
I remember a phrase i heard from Guthrie Govan: "do you play what you sing or do you sing what you play?" Its worth to think about it..
Greetings to you Eric!!! Thank for the lesson
Ayeee thank you so much🙏😄 That made me so happy to read! You are very welcome! Greeting from Sweden my friend!
What guitar is that? George Benson Ibanez?
I just found out you're from El Salvador. Can you do a video on how to make pupusas and play guitar?
Hahahahaha
This is the best comment I have got in years!!!
Actually that is not a bad idea. Like make pupas over the guitar or while I play? hahaha
Shit... It me the pentatonic guy... Let s upgrade now
Real problem 😅
Yessss haha
🙏❤️
Ayeeee thank you so much😁
😅😅🎸🎶🙏
Ayeeee thank you so much! Greeting from Sweden my friend!
Chispalo carnal
Ayeee thank you so much🙏😄
Hi, good idea, but how can a person who never hear about these steps learn from this video? its confusing to follow , no details.
and when you talk first step its arpeggios or triads?
It's just an intermediate/pre-Internediate content
@@СергейПротасов-к4ъ but the video promises to teach you that things at first. at least the acting part
It's triads! It's almost the same thing. I mention that it is triads very clear with the animation. Have you joined my Patreon and seen the TABs there?
If your jazzer im agree 😂😂 no way
Haha
I really value what you're teaching here. But I think this format of acting like two people made the video too long. If you acted like the "newbie" for some questions it'd be ok, but the first half of the video was just filled with an empty dialogue… next time I think you can just take 2min to introduce the subject to the audience directly. I'm already a subscriber and fan, but I guess some people will give up to watch the video because of the format you presented in that first half.
Yes got it! I felt the same haha! But it was too much to delete haha! I will for sure do more videos like this with a better format. Thanks for the feedback! More videos coming soon. Cheers
@@ericassarsson7976 thanks a lot! Looking forward to the next videos ;)
dude this boring af
Ayeee thank you so much🙏😄
@@ericassarsson7976 u're welcome bro
@@endomorfismos😂😂😂
I tried at least sorry if it was boring for you my friend I hope you liked something of it😅
NO! Plays scaled but make melody with them
NO! I agree😁
