Yes, oh my God, there is something so satisfying about it, and you just wouldn’t think it by just observation, but you have so much more appreciation once you play. Its truly a really terrific sport.

@MUFC I don’t agree with the claim that soccer will be the number one sport in the US. American Football is a huge craze here and it would take a massive shift in culture for soccer to be THE sport in the US.
Yeah I made the mistake of getting my girlfriend into it. I've got 10 years of play under my belt and her stupid eastern european natural tennis player genes and work ethic caught her up to me in one summer. First time we went out I hit 100mph serves at her and this girl who'd never held a racquet was getting those back in play. Never have I been so humbled.
This is why variety is so much more fun to watch as opposed to just pure grinding on the baseline. There are so many options to make the point interesting.
That's why doubles are so interesting to watch. Shame there's barely any broadcasts of em.

I like the long rallies and hard hitting baseline play, some incredible passing shots and angled shots, can't go wrong.
It's fun too see Murray having a little laugh at the end of the game (and set too) because of how ridiculously good it was.

I was at this game. Not the best ever, but wonderful to see this stuff at a grand slam. He played like this all match and his shot around the net was unbelievable.

absolutely amazing game. One of the games i remember so vividly is one between Wawrinka and Gasquet at the french open 2013. You really have to witness that, it was even above the Nadal- Djokovic match which was held a few days later.
People will disagree, but that match was the match of the year. The battle of the one-handed backhands was absolutely majestic to watch.
The Nadal-Djokovic was actually not that great. The quality was lacking at times. In the first 3 sets, both players didn't play their best at the same time.

I'm quite sure he also enjoyed that game. Players like Llodra don't die for victory, they are happy even with just the applause of the audience.
Trust me there are very few people who play like this. He is as fast as Chang, returns like Agassi and serves like Sampras. Maintaining this level is impossible but this is a real genius.

God I love tennis. I played it in high school and it was so much fun. And to watch people play it at the professional level makes all the more exciting. I can't even imagine trying to return the serve of a pro tennis player. And the Williams sisters were my idols when I was playing tennis in high school.

They are running in every single direction doing all types of stupid and amazing shots! it's such a pity that Llodra couldn't nail the tweener, because Murray would have had to run full-speed back to the baseline to get to that one, probably also with a tweener, and the silly magic would have continued! hahahahahha
If you are going to rank amazing tennis games, the 2012 Australian Open Men's Final was just breath taking! Nadal and Djokovic fighting it out for what seemed like an eternity. You couldn't separate them! Best match I've seen in ages!!

I'm currently in middle school, and I'm really good at badminton😂. The downfall, though, is that there are no badminton teams in high school, but tennis. Now I'm interested in tennis, but it looks different in a way :c Anyone have any advice?!?
I'm a sophomore in high school, when I was in 8th grade I thought the exact same thing lol. I'm on my school's tennis team and it's pretty fun playing (except some people are kind of jerks). I think you should go for it. Badminton is a lot different from tennis, which requires a lot more effort and ability at times, but I'm sure your badminton skills will help you lol.

Listen to your coach and by a month or so you'll get the basics and have proper form. Train your reflexes and agility. Keep practicing and you'll be on your way to that first singles or first doubles whichever you prefer.
Nicole Nguyen badminton is very different from tennis. If you start learning tennis, some of your swing habits in badminton may set you off to a rough start in tennis. you will have to learn a completely new form of swinging which you may not be used to.

I watched that match live. To the poster who said that the Murray smile to Llodra was missing, try to watch the whole match. Llodra made Murray smile and both had a blast playing Harlem Globetrotter tennis with some points. I just didn't realize that one game was packed with these fun points.
