Thank you for the pro tip on finishing the ribbing for the v-neck before finishing the length on a vest in order to get a better fit. This came in super handy for my first v-neck that I'm working on. Keep up the great work!
Glad it was helpful! ❤️ I always like to finish the neckline before the rest of the body, it helps for sizing purposes but also keeps me motivated to finish the project!
I really liked your new sweater. Might be what I have been looking for. Thank you for the Lumos tip. I need that with the long dark winter nights of northern MN in the woods! Thank you too, for sharing all of the suggestions for trying new to us podcasters. I had to smile when you said "we are not apart enough" re: knitting your husband's sweater. So sweet. I remember those years and they are precious in retrospect. Thank you!!
I’m behind on my podcasts, but I’m glad to have gotten to watch you today!❤I love your husband’s sweater. You choose great patterns. I’m all for frogging projects that I’m not in love with.
Thanks for posting I always enjoy your videos . I’m think of you and those affected in Maine so sad. I was up there Wells, at a quilt and knitting retreat that Thursday to weekend, i never went to any yarn shops just the quilt shop near by , it was scary and I have friends up there as well. Your tops so pretty and that hat looks so soft easy. I will have check that one out. I need simple knitting projects , my goal is to do a shawl and sweater some day.
As someone who learnt and knitted seamed garments for years, I would definitely recommend you to knit the sleeves (and both at the same time) after you finish the back. This will help you be motivated later to do the front because it will mean you'll be finished with the garment and also, you won't feel like you're starting the project all over again by doing the same exact thing for the front that you did for the back one right after the other
Great podcast today! Thanks for sharing that light! I bought one🎉 I too have always cast-on and frogged alot! If im not feeling it, it gets ripped! Life's too short! And your husband is a lucky man! His cabled sweater is so nice..seamed, it will be beautiful!!
Thanks for the shoutout Sven! It was truly such a wonderful trip and I'm so glad we finally got to meet IRL! You're totally right...there is so much tragedy happening both here and abroad, but spreading bits of joy and lots of love is more important than ever.
Aww Chereen, I miss you already!! So thankful to have a friend like you to share the beauty and magic of creating, despite some of the terrible times we live through.
Thank you so much for acknowledging the tragic event in Lewiston. I thought of many, including you and a brother and best friend in Portland. I wish you strength as you perform your chosen profession, since the aftermath of any tragedy doesn’t just disappear once ‘it’s over’! Isn’t that the case in every situation of grief. What a beautiful sweater you are knitting for your husband….one lucky guy and definitely knitworthy! I have coffee with Kaci of Youngfolk Knits every Thursday morning!😂 As far as frogging knits, I’ve just done that. I frogged a sweater for myself and knit a Classic Ribbed Hat and Flax Sweater for my grandson. ❤
Hi There! May I suggest using the Easy Alternator method of alternating yarn instead of helical knitting. It’s so much easier and totally invisible. Nicole from Prof Purl knitting podcast has a tutorial for it. I will never do helical knitting again.
I totally Agee about frogging. The last two sweaters I started had to be frogged. It is really frustrating but no point in keeping or finishing things that you will never wear. Yarn is too expensive to waste. It makes me want to only knit Petite Knit, Caidree and Ozetta. I have started so many sweaters that are not properly graded. Proud of you.
Thank you for talking about the Lumos light, I'd seen it at my lys but wasn't sure if it was worth buying. I think it is something I'll put on my Christmas list. I enjoy your podcasts and love seeing your knitting. Waving hello from 🇨🇦
Love your Marseille and Maxime a similar pattern is on my short list… love your content and projects and totally enjoy sitting and knitting while catching up with what’s on your needles
I have frogged more than I’ve finished! I am a fairly inexperienced knitter and I don’t know why, but I seem to not like anything I knit lately! I DO have a question about that…when you frog, do you wash and “unkink” the yarn before you knit with it again? And what if it’s still attached to a ball of yarn? I am just wondering if I’ll be able to knit with that frogged yarn again? Love your channel! Lisa
Hi Lisa! You can definitely knit with the same yarn you frogged! I just roll it back into a ball or wind it into a cake. That’s the best part of knitting in my opinion, never feeling like you have wasted materials if you change your mind or make a mistake!
Thanks for filming the podcast despite of all. It also has made my evening, whereby I didn’t know what happened…, maybe because I live in Europe and don’t watch TV. But I have just googled it. My English is not good enough to say the right words, whereby there probably doesn’t exist words for something like that. It breaks my heart but probably no one can understand that things like this happens in this world…. I pray for all of you. And I can imagine that the world should stop in these moments but I doesn’t. So we have to move forward…, step for step. Thanks again for going one of these steps. Your husband must be a tall man. First I thought you are holding a blanket… I am glad that you can enjoy it despite of having to pearl so much. But it looks wonderful and you can really be proud to knit a pattern in that form of many parts and down up. I don’t know if I could frog so much. But I find it completely right. It would be a shame to have those (not cheap) pieces only hanging at home. I also have such a snake light and I love it. It’s soooo useful! I love your sweater and your …. I forget the name…. the sweater without arms… a…., no,I don’t know🙈. They both look liked bought. (Yes, also with your small mistake under the arm!) Oups, I don’t know I I know the podcasts you are talking about. I hope you have linked them? Whereby some sound known, but I cannot keep names in my mind…. Will see it. Thanks for all that information. Always looking for new podcasts and wondering why UA-cam doesn’t provide some of them even I have the feeling I only watch knitting and sewing podcasts. Ah, the one with the toddler I know…, she really is cute and good. I am waiting excited what you will knit besides the sweater for your husband. Have a great time and thanks! Besides, you must watch Gilmore girls! As I have to watch that with my daughter ;) 🙋♀️ ? Did you load the podcast twice? 😂 that could be me! And yes, you are spreading joy!💕
Thank you for watching and your thoughtful comments. Yes, I did manage to upload the podcast twice - thank you for bringing this to my attention. It should be fixed now!
My daughter and her husband live next door to Lewiston, so it’s personal for us too. Hard to know what to say, but knitting and redoubling our efforts for common sense restrictions on AK 47s and ammunition is helping ❤
Aaaah I started melting when you said my name ❤ Thank you, much appreciated! Coincidentally, I’ve actually been frogging quite a few things recently, although mostly things that I had started before the summer and then left there, waiting for the hot weather to come and go. However, when I came back to them, they didn’t spark joy anymore so off the go 🐸 👋 I commend you for the cabled sweater for your partner. Not gonna lie, apparently I do not love my husband enough to make him a cabled sweater as I would never do that 😂 To be fair, I have come to the conclusion that probably I would not knit a cabled sweater for myself either out of laziness. I’m now very tempted by a one-color Marseille Sweater. HELP. So many projects, so little time. Side note, I wasn’t actually aware of anything that was going on in Maine. I’m deeply sorry.
It means to rip your knitting and and start over. Usually means to abandon the project and start again from scratch."Rip it" is like "ribbit", the sound a frog makes.
I am always interested in other knittingpodcasts so I will definitely check out your recommendations 😊. I follow Inga from knittingtraditions, Emily from highfiberknits and Martina from wegrowwild here on YT - maybe these are for you as well. Hi from Germany btw 😊

Thank you for keeping me company whilst I knit, and for reminding me to pray for those in Lewiston who have lost loved ones.
Thank you for watching and for your prayers, they are needed.

Thanks so much for the Lumus light recommendation! I ordered one with your coupon code, and I am loving it! Love the cables for your hub’s sweater!! 🤎
Yay! Thank you! Hope you're getting good use out of your light :)
Thanks for the reminder that frogging is fine! I just frogged an ugly sweater and made a gorgeous cardigan that I am madly in love with :)
That must have been so fulfilling!!
I really love that cable sweater for your husband..❤❤❤
Thank you, me too!!
Thank you sooo much for mentioning my channel - that made me really happy! Best wishes and greeting from Hamburg! ❤
Of course, I love your channel!
Thank you for the recommenondations, some of them I already follow, the others I will check out.
Great! Thanks for watching :)

What does frog mean?
It means to rip your knitting and and start over. Usually means to abandon the project and start again from scratch."Rip it" is like "ribbit", the sound a frog makes.
Have you watched Hey Alexa Knit? She knit a rabbit to take to Rhinebeck named Rhinebecky. 😂 🧶🧶🧶
