We visited the Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex in Cape Canaveral Florida and were AMAZED with how cool it was! I thought the Kennedy Space Center was going to be cheesy, but boy was I wrong. NASA's Kennedy Space Center does an amazing job at telling the story of how Americans went to space and showcasing space history in general. While we were there, we did the Atlantis shuttle experience, went on the Apollo Saturn bus tour, and basically take you on a full tour of Kennedy Space Center in 2021. If you are planning on visiting Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, or Orlando, do yourself a favor and go to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. You won't regret it!

On a side note, I too wanted to be an astronaut even after watching the challenger distasteful live in my classroom. It was later when I realized advanced math was not my strong suit that I woke from that dream.

I was so emotional, too! It was beyond well done. I like that they had personal artifacts that shared what each of the people were most passionate about.

I was just telling a friend last night how I have never been to Florida and have no desire to go. I don't even want to go to Disney World anymore. But now you post this… I had no idea they had that extensive a museum/tourist area. That looks amazing! And now I actually want to go to Florida -- just to see Kennedy Space Center.

What is the best way to travel from Orlando to Kennedy visitor center for someone without a car?
Honestly friend, a car is the best way. The only other way I can think of would be to book some kind of Orlando bus that takes you too and from but I’m not sure. Best of luck!

Strong Suggestion if you're not doing this already. At that young age their minds are like a sponge and pick up a lot of stuff even though it may not seem like it, so make sure you keep pumping your child with as much knowledge as possible. Read a lot to him and keep teaching him new things.
