  • Root climbing involves climbing roots of trees exposed on a river gorge. This delight is followed by an abseil down a cliff back to the river's edge. We tried this at the Danao Adventure Park in Bohol, The Philippines.
It takes me fifteen minutes of vigorous exertion to climb the twisted fingers of the witches hand the staff at Danao Adventure Park call a tree. It’s not technically difficult but it is a challenge to haul myself up 15 metres of vertical on ant infested tree roots. Still the exertion is rewarded at the top by the joy of watching others with ants in their pants struggle up after me. And the ultimate joy of abseiling back down. Great Bohol adventure fun.

Very cool- I think the rappelling would alarm me most (unlike your daughter!)
