Really enjoyed your video. Just started watching some of yours in the last 2 months and find your style refreshingly down to earth and honest. I bought my first Rolex submariner, a 5512 , in 1968 in the main PX in Da Nang . I think I paid $240 , and still have that watch today . It started me on a lifelong journey with watches. I've collected, what I like to think , is a pretty solid group of time peices over the years . For my every day rotation sub, I have a newer , super case 116610ln that gets plenty of wrist time . I've had my original sub factory serviced over the years but have always made sure to include a note requesting that Rolex do no polishing other than hand wipe down to the watch . That insured that no damage was ever done to that case . Any polishing to be done , I can do by hand . Anyway, keep up your video work . Really like what you have to say.

Hey Adrian. Great vid! I've been wanting 5 digit Sub/GMT for a while which has some vintage charm. But still retain a robust case for active leisure. I've just been thought the exact experience. It was in very good condition and unpolished case with full lugs and chamfered edges and with all the pointers mentioned. It was circa 1997 Tritium dial with a full set with all the box and papers and tags. Even down to the original purchase receipt! It's literally spent it's whole life in my region. I knew I'd regret it. If i didn't jump on it. To top it off I comes on 12 months warranty. I've been wearing it 2 months straight! Absolutely over the moon!
Actually times has changed and it is scarier to sell on ebay than buy things. Research and you will find out that you are very much protected by ebay and paypal when something goes wrong, too much protected that ebay and paypal always side with the buyer and sellers are the one getting scammed nowadays. Not just that, the seller will bear the 10% final value fees, insertion fees and 3-4.5% paypal fees. Then after all that the buyer decides to scam you off.. tough luck.
I just brought a submariner a couple of days ago after weeks of searching. I was not brave enough to buy off eBay as lack of knowledge and so many scammers. Eventually went high street and although paid more, only a few hundred pounds more than yours it was peace of mind knowing its original, working properly and not lost or stolen. I was not concerned about papers as I’ve no intention of re selling and just wearing as often as I can. Great vid, should of seen it before I started my search
What I find funny is that you call buying on ebay scary, and pass a list of checks that reduce the likelihood of a fake, however the only real way to buy safely is to buy on ebay (or at least via paypal) and send the watch for service. Until you do that, you don't know if what is inside is the 100% the real thing. And ebay feedback is almost worthless, as many buyers do not understand anything.
I bought a GMT 2 black bezel (ceramic in 2008 ) the green GMT hand model , lovely watch it cost me £3600 from a AD . put £1600 down paid the rest off interest free over 18 months . My wife went mad with me lol I only went out to buy a new T shirt in the local shopping centre !. But it was such an awesome watch and interest free credit I could not resist . I have always collected watches but the Rolex was the single most expensive watch I bought up to that point my previous record was around the £1200 mark for a fantastic Tag . I wore my Rolex as my daily beater , did DIY in it and all sorts never babied it at all I had it serviced by Rolex Uk in 2016 cost me around £500 as I recall ( that made my eyes water ) but it came back looking spanking new yes they polished it but not to heavy IMO . I have the original receipt the service receipt and all the original box papers etc etc that it came with . I was usrprised how much the watch is worth now even on the second hand market and I take great pleasure in reminding my wife how much hell she gave me back in 2008 when I "wasted" all that money on a watch lol . I can't pretend that I bought it as an investment or that I knew the market would appreciate etc etc . At the time it was a aspirational buy and I wore it like any other much much cheaper watch in my collection. I bought the new Airking in 2016 mainly because I saw one in an AD window and despite the controversy over the face design I loved it's quirkeyness. When I bought the AirKing it took me a week or two to get over buyers remorse and realise my first impressions were correct at the time . I believe the Airking 2016 will in time become a classic and much loved model in the Rolex Range depite being called the marmite watch of Rolex . Fast forward to 2020 and I am going to sell my Rolexes and a few lesser pieces as they no longer hold much attraction to me which is kind of strange and hard to believe as they were once prized possessions . I have always had cheaper watches G Shock , Tag , Oris and the like even Orient and a few Seikos all bought for various reasons at various times in my life so I am no watch snob only wishing to wear "perceived success brands " such as Rolex . Truth is I no longer care and am just as happy wearing a middle of the road Seiko or G shock as my Rolexes . In fact after 40 years (since childhood) of collecting watches along the way in my life from my first Timex to my last Rolex I finally feel free of the watch collecting bug that has afflicted me all my life and realise that Most any watch even of reasonable quality and affordability for most anyone can give you accurate timekeeping AND pleasure of ownership it does not have to be a grail watch or an aspiration brand . Personally I feel better having learned that lesson in my heart and got rid of the "bug" hence the intention to sell all but one or two of my cheapest watches to wear as daily beaters and I will be glad to pass them on to someone else to enjoy as I once did . ...Thanks for the upload interesting insight into what makes YOU tick no pun intended as a watch collector . Keep up the good work .
Be careful if you decide to return the watch to the seller, the authenticator can claim you scratched the watch even if you never took it out its box. Ebay will side with their "experts" leaving you with a busted watch and huge bill. I am going through this nightmare right now.
A couple of hundred pounds more, and you would have gotten a brand spanking new 114060 with five years warranty. But I guess you are heavily into those vintage watches.
@@J-SH06 No! I got my Sub Date in around three months on the "waiting list", so that is not true at all. It can take up to a year if you are a nobody with no previous relation to the AD, but still no five years. Get real man! 🤣
@@dennischen8887 Well these days it's a bit harder than last year, but of course easier than the Hulk. But if you have the right connection with your AD, that would also be possible, if you have the patience.
That's sort of the point of Rolex restoration though? Collector's want original parts and pieces. If you buy an offical serviced rolex by rolex and don't like what you've gotten. You might hold onto it as a beater and buy another used or a new one. Rolex offical restorations may be captializing on devaluation like switching out bezels and crystals, or polishing off too much material. Because they know people either want a pristine well taken of watch or an original beaten up piece. Anything inbetween is damaged and modded. That's kind of the mentality for watch collector's in a nutshell?
The fact that he loves his watches so much makes me feel good. I baby my explorer 214270 mark 2 as much as he do. And i LOVE to see more new scratches every week or 2. It makes the watch look more worn. I think everyone love his watch in its own way :)
What a beauty! How will you choose which one goes on the wrist each day? As I look at my eventual explorer I worry about how my Seamaster will feel when I don't pick it up in the morning :-/
The quality of Rolex packaging is an indicator of their overall product. Grossly over rated and over valued. Not junk. Not terrible. They're nice, but they are also 100% a product of marketing.
Lol you act like other brands in the price range in that era had much better. The red on my omega box and card wallet for the first gen 300m has literally melted off and dyed everything in sight 🤮
Barely worn ! Those lugs look like it was used as a hammer. So what did you buy, a beat up case, no provenance and needing a full service - refinish, unless you are into the driven over by a truck look.
Get it serviced ASAP. It's been dropped, hence the huge beat error. Also, the lubricants will have dried up. I agree with you regarding refinishing the case, it just destroys the character of the watch.
Hey Adrian. Could you please do a comparison between your Kermit and this Submariner? Would be interesting to see how these compare. Thanks for the great video
@@jaredryan1505 Hi Justin, they really aren't same watch. It's like someone owning a Range Rover Sport, and a Defender. On paper they are same. Both subs are dive watches, both are from Rolex, but the design and they feel completely different. The Kermit feels solid and modern and the 14060m feel light and vintage. It's the last of the vintage looking subs with the 2 lines of text. The Kermit is green and doesn't really work with straps. The black 14060m works with all different style of straps and colours. The biggest thing is, the Kermit is worth £13k+. I'm going to stop wearing it because of that. Cheers, Adrian
It is a huge risk, purchasing such an expensive watch, from someone you will never meet in person, your taking their word, and trust. When buying a Rolex, you should inspect the watch first, just to make sure its genuine. Last year, i purchased a full set of paperwork and boxes for a 2009 Submariner. The items were very convincing fakes, and the dealer did refund my money, but the wording of his listing on ebay made no mention that they were forgeries. His listing was skillfully frazed so no liability would fall on him, for incorrect description. I wished the paperwork and boxes were genuine items, but you simply cannot tell, when you cannot examine the items.
I watch your videos mate. But you criticised GS for using a coloured sticker on the back off the sbgn 001. This watch has a coloured sticker and you like that one🤔 I’d take all the stickers off😃
So if you don't want your Rolex polished or the crystal replaced where do you go? It is annoying that they are so stubborn, you own the watch it should be your choice. I was told by my AD that if you have the back engraved Rolex will replace that, unreal.
When you send your Rolex in to get a service (say it's just the movement you want servicing/regulating) can you request that they don't polish the watch?
Yeah becareful, I bought a Rolex from a very reputable dealer on Ebay. He owns a jewelry store in Florida also. Well 5 years down the line, I needed to sell that watch due to financial reason. Found out it had tons of aftermarket components inside that watch, and also the sapphire crystal was not original, and the bezel was an aftermarket too. The place I was trying to sell it too will not accept my watch.
Errr no, no fucker sees the sticker on the back and it prevents the inevitable scratches that happen when you park your watch on the desk. You have to be a reasonably clean person to keep the sticker and make it look fresh. The previous owner of this watch obviously has been challenged on the hygiene front.
@@z00h or he could just get a sticker from the box and stick it back on. Plus the back of the watch wouldnt touch a desk as it has a metal strap that doesnt fully open
Honestly, you can buy off eBay with no issues.I’m speaking as in protection of your item.If it’s a fake or damaged, you will get a refund. Now if you sell a Rolex on eBay you’re taking a huge risk, someone can buy it,say it’s fake and send you back a 20.00 canal street special and eBay will ALWAYS side with the buyer. So they get their money back AND Keep your watch.
I see a small gap between the SEL and the watch case on your kermit. Is this a result of it being an older watch or were the older SEL rolex watch just made like this?
I just bought a Tudor Pelagos from eBay. It really is quite frightening and the worst bit (which is usually the most fun) is the unboxing. Your eyes everywhere just trying to confirm all the details are correct at once and then when your anxiety eases a bit, getting up close with a lens to make sure.
Hey Adrian Congrats once again on the new acquisition, Also, it is hard to believe that you paid $7,300 for this 17 yr old example! ( The list on a current one is $7,500) ( I just had to turn down an offer from the AD for a current Ceramic ND Sub @ retail, because that would relinquish my spot on the que for the 126710BLNR Batgirl....)
I cannot understand Rolex’s boxing. It’s so disappointing. I bought a Tudor BB at an AD and everyone said the box was better than a Rolex. I know it’s about the watch but if I’m spending some serious money on a watch, I want everything to be quality.
I bought a 14060 (1994) off eBay. I took it to the local AD and they said everything on it looks good and original. But I want to know if the bezel was replaced. How can I tell? (this was before they starting etching the crystal with the crown logo). The AD said it they couldn't tell for certain without removing the bezel which they weren't prepared to do unless they were servicing it.
Actually it's pretty safe if you do your homework. I've purchased several high end watches off eBay without a hitch. You know the old saying, "Buy the seller not the watch." Always get in touch with the seller prior to purchasing. Ask them questions about the watch. Personally I don't buy from an individual seller without a 100% rating. My purchases are usually from a well established stores specializing in high end pre-owned watches. You pay a little more but they usually guarantee the watch from 1 to 3 years. eBay also have the buyer protection so that helps.
Currently on the hunt for a 14060/14060M now! Video helps massively - thanks! Where do you take yours for servicing/strap work please? couldn't quite catch the name in the video.
I've been buying watches off eBay for a while now. Last watch I bought was a Rolex Date Just from Nigeria.Great condition looks like new, just disappointed in Rolex quality it's no better than an Alpha watch and I hate the limited edition mechanism in the watch where you have to wind it every 4 hours. The person I bought it from said that's the Rolex way! X
Congratulations again for finding this beautiful watch! Thank you for sharing the details of the watch and the process of vetting you used. Fantastic video as usual, great job Adrain :)
He already has a Green Sub and an Explorer and has now paid a considerable sum to buy another Sub. There are so many other options out there for that kind of money. Anyway it’s his cash and if it makes him happy good on Adrian. I am sure the Grand Seiko Quartz will be gone in the near future to make room for yet another Rolex 😂
That is a nice watch. Love that it came with everything. I just started collecting watches last year and have 35... it is a sickness. Many if not most have been bought off eBay but mine are inexpensive watches. The nice thing is I can and do look at thousands of watches before I pull the trigger on a $25 vintage Cort with display case, outer box, and papers. Does it make sense to buy something that is not worth the value of a service... no, but it is a collection, pieces of history, they run, and I might wear it one day per month. I wish I could find someone who will just repair a watch and not do the full service.
Why at 13.07 the number 14060M on the green sticker is gone, after you said that you’d have been careful with this while cleaning the back with alcool? It looks like it’s not about the angle, it definitely looks like it’s another watch. Please explain.
Would you recommend crono 24 over eBay ? I live in St. John’s Newfoundland Canada and I’m interested in buying a Tudor but there is no Tudor dealer here so I’ve seen a few on eBay but I’m very nervous spending a few thousand dollars on eBay
I was actually was a saturation diver for twenty two years, I was getting the good dosh but still wouldn't pay the money at the time. The guys who did have them wouldn't ware them on a dive.
I seem to remember you saying on more than one occasion that you bought the Explorer because it flew under the radar compared to the Sub and you were less likely to get mugged? So does this purchase indicate a change of opinion regarding street crime, a feeling that Scotland is safer or have you taken up Krav Magar?? I’ve bought a number of watches on eBay and so far, no disasters but agree with everything you say, particularly buy the buyer. Enjoy the new arrival! 😁
I’ve bought a few watches on eBay with no problem but it’s all about buying the seller. Couple caveats must be met before I buy: min 14 day money back guarantee; min 1000+ positive feedback about seller and they must be high end watches that have been sold so I can see there is a semblance of continuity with what they sell and how they’re rated selling it; and most importantly, I ALWAYS msg seller and ask if they stand by their watch being authentic and if so, are they okay with me having it authenticated by an AD - they must say yes to both or I am out. If the seller ever says no to you getting it authenticated, that’s a huge red flag and makes me think they have something to hide and as such, I won’t buy. These are just the basics, but they’ve served me well thus far. Happy hunting!
Sat next to a guy on a flight last week wearing a 2 line Sub that he said he bought 25 years ago. Was wearing my SubC at the time, was a nice opportunity to compare the differences (or lack thereof) between the two watches that were released so far apart.
Great video. Learnt lots of little things I didn't know + great production & audio quality. This is pretty much as good as it gets on UA-cam for any niche subject channel
The eBay user afshi_5 hasn't sold a watch in the past 12 months. The feedback doesn't reflect it neither does the sales history. I doubt you got it from eBay.
I like this review, and I also have the same watch - mine a D series a couple of years newer. One point though, at 5:25 you mention that you have the Chronometer certification: note that this watch wasn’t a certified chronometer at the time.
You’ve got me thinking now.... I’d always assumed my 2005 D series 14060M was non-chronometer, I bought it new from an AD and no chronometer paperwork with it - checked again just now. But yours does! A quick search on the internet shows a few other sites saying that 14060M wasn’t certified as such until 2007.
Yeah I wasn’t sure about the box myself. It’s not uncommon for incorrect boxes to be issued by the AD. My explorer II from 2000 came in a slightly larger box.
Another interesting video. There are two issues here...you cannot test a watch on a timing machine before demagnetizing it first and expect to get a true reading. A magnetized watch can cause errant readings to be displayed...beat error, amplitude, and rate. Also, the watch should be fully wound or have been worn for the better part of the day before any timing machine test. Cheers mate.
Thanks for watching Charles. The watch was worn for a few days before this video was made and then fully wound to make sure. I sent the readings off to my watchmaker and he said they are what he’d expect from a watch with dried up oils. So all should be fine. Cheers, Adrian
Cristian W To be fair, I’ve an Invicta Grand Diver for several years, that’s been great and never fail to perform. The ceramic bezel and display back have made a stunning edition to my desk, whether placed face up or down. To date, not a single paper has escaped it’s substantial weight, when watch is placed properly, in the center of the stack. As workload and clutter increases, I’ll consider picking up a second one. 🤣
You will only know for sure if an AD or experienced watchmaker opens it up and examines it. Got a relative who bought a vintage Omega and later realized the inside was a fake movement when he tried to get the watch fixed.
Thanks buddy. I’ve started to stand up which feels more natural than sitting down, which I used to do. Sitting down felt so formal. I don’t want to be formal. 👍🏻
Can't find these for 3k anymore. The cheapest you're going to find will have a 5k asking price, so even if you drive a hard bargain, you're looking at 4.5k and that will be for one in much worse condition.

Actually it’s very safe to buy a watch on eBay when using PayPal.
You mean the company that can freeze your account for no reason and take all the money on it and u cant get it back......
I never knew about that etched crown at the six o'clock position - and the service s - nice to know! Thanks, Adrian! Beautiful watch!
Thanks for watching John.
Been watching forever, got to say that you’re getting better and better man. Keep em coming
Thanks so much Juan. 🙏🏻
And also you get to wait five years til you get it.
@@J-SH06 No! I got my Sub Date in around three months on the "waiting list", so that is not true at all. It can take up to a year if you are a nobody with no previous relation to the AD, but still no five years. Get real man! 🤣
@@jhmsmarttv795 yea, the black ceramic sub is much easier to get these days. But still impossible for a Hulk though.
The etching doesn't have an S anymore when serviced.
Thanks for the update. 👍🏻
I love how excited you are about normal wear. I completely agree, if it's been worn (as opposed to abused), it adds character and value in my eyes.
The fact that he loves his watches so much makes me feel good. I baby my explorer 214270 mark 2 as much as he do. And i LOVE to see more new scratches every week or 2. It makes the watch look more worn. I think everyone love his watch in its own way :)
ray h. I dont know what u mean brother
Rather not look forward to scratching my watch but I would like to see them unexpectedly once in a while
What a beauty! How will you choose which one goes on the wrist each day? As I look at my eventual explorer I worry about how my Seamaster will feel when I don't pick it up in the morning :-/
Haha. I worry about that too. When I wear the sub I feel bad for my Explorer. 🙈
@@Dylan-xj8tb I never said that. Rolex uses cheap packaging in its current offerings. Check it out if you don't believe me.
agreed - to me the packaging is far more important than the quality of the watch and its future resale value
@@michaelbishop9157 I'm glad you see it. The quality isn't exceptional, and the pricing/future resale value is all marketing.
Do you mind sharing name of that seller? Seems like an honest one
That’s a great idea. Nice one. I’ll do it. 👍🏻
Adrian can you please shed some light on your decision to double up on the Submariner? Why 2 of the same watch when so many watches exist?
Bark and Jack thanks for education. Keep up the good work mate!
That crystal on the sub black sub has been replaced. The original one didn't have the crown engraved on the crystal from early 2000s
Great watch - no doubt.
The 14060 is one of my all-time favorites.
I’d love to see it on the timegrapher after servicing.
Came to your channel for your background setup. Now I’m watching this 😅 sound quality is impeccable
Thanks so much Vanessa 🙌🏻
"Condition is key, box papers is all secondary". For me it's thirdly. Authenticity first, condition second 😉
Yes ya right, he is a f idiot
This watch has a coloured sticker and you like that one🤔
I’d take all the stickers off😃
It’s a Rolex sticker! I took mine off the day I bought it.
Haha, the green sticker is well positioned and not made of crappy thin plastic like on the GS.
That’s sticker is probably housing all kinds of bacteria from the 90’s. Enjoy that.
Seems that Rolex cant do anything wrong…
So if you don't want your Rolex polished or the crystal replaced where do you go? It is annoying that they are so stubborn, you own the watch it should be your choice. I was told by my AD that if you have the back engraved Rolex will replace that, unreal.
When you send your Rolex in to get a service (say it's just the movement you want servicing/regulating) can you request that they don't polish the watch?
You can request they only do certain parts, but there are countless examples of when they have ignored the requests.
@@BarkandJack what about removing the movement and sending only it in?
Yeah becareful, I bought a Rolex from a very reputable dealer on Ebay. He owns a jewelry store in Florida also. Well 5 years down the line, I needed to sell that watch due to financial reason. Found out it had tons of aftermarket components inside that watch, and also the sapphire crystal was not original, and the bezel was an aftermarket too. The place I was trying to sell it too will not accept my watch.
Stickers on the back of a watch are akin to those who leave the hologram sticker on a cap or the leather label on Timberland boots 😂
Errr no, no fucker sees the sticker on the back and it prevents the inevitable scratches that happen when you park your watch on the desk. You have to be a reasonably clean person to keep the sticker and make it look fresh. The previous owner of this watch obviously has been challenged on the hygiene front.
My AD took all the stickers off mine before giving it to me
@@z00h or he could just get a sticker from the box and stick it back on.
Plus the back of the watch wouldnt touch a desk as it has a metal strap that doesnt fully open
@@vergecryptocurrency4552 it would touch the clasp, which is the problem.
Bought a Tudor Black Bay of Ebay. It's a cliche but its important to buy the seller and know as much as you can about the watch your buying.
That’s very true.
I see a small gap between the SEL and the watch case on your kermit. Is this a result of it being an older watch or were the older SEL rolex watch just made like this?
I buy mine at the local
Market. Great quality.
Hey Adrian Congrats once again on the new acquisition,
Also, it is hard to believe that you paid $7,300 for this 17 yr old example! ( The list on a current one is $7,500)
( I just had to turn down an offer from the AD for a current Ceramic ND Sub @ retail, because that would relinquish my spot on the que for the 126710BLNR Batgirl....)
I cannot understand Rolex’s boxing. It’s so disappointing. I bought a Tudor BB at an AD and everyone said the box was better than a Rolex. I know it’s about the watch but if I’m spending some serious money on a watch, I want everything to be quality.
Why would you buy a Rolex Submariner? For that kind of money you can buy way better and more original watches.
Rolex fanboys🙄🙄🙄🙄
@@Jabber-ig3iw I know right
I bought a 14060 (1994) off eBay.
“Use my wife’s toothbrush.” Lol. Nice piece!
You pay a little more but they usually guarantee the watch from 1 to 3 years. eBay also have the buyer protection so that helps.
its like finding a wife in a brothel, lots of pretty faces but you don't know what kind of diseases they have
bagus prasetio hahahaha, hilarious
bagus prasetio hahahaha
It’s also easier to test for STDs than it is to identify a fake Rolex at times.
Currently on the hunt for a 14060/14060M now! Video helps massively - thanks! Where do you take yours for servicing/strap work please? couldn't quite catch the name in the video.
Enjoy the hunt Jack. I took mine to David carpenter watches in Tunbridge Wells.
Hahaha. Yeah that sounds about right. 🤣
Nice 👊
Does small second hand make a clock look bigger?
Congratulations again for finding this beautiful watch! Thank you for sharing the details of the watch and the process of vetting you used. Fantastic video as usual, great job Adrain :)
Non maxi-case no date sub, doesn‘t get better! 🙌
Using their toothbrush to clean your watch?
Wifes hate this trick!
Are you purchased from the private seller or watch dealer on the Ebay?
Rolex truly have you hook line and sinker...
What you mean by that
He already has a Green Sub and an Explorer and has now paid a considerable sum to buy another Sub. There are so many other options out there for that kind of money. Anyway it’s his cash and if it makes him happy good on Adrian. I am sure the Grand Seiko Quartz will be gone in the near future to make room for yet another Rolex 😂
Mark Williams many other options yes. But will they hold their value like this sub? Probably not
That is a nice watch.
Great vid as always. The wife’s toothbrush 😂😂😂😂
Why at 13.07 the number 14060M on the green sticker is gone, after you said that you’d have been careful with this while cleaning the back with alcool? It looks like it’s not about the angle, it definitely looks like it’s another watch. Please explain.
The thought of the ebay seller being someone like Paul Pluta gives me the chills...
Geezer-imagine “servicing” him....
Hahahah
Oh yuck! Please don’t mention that horrible man.
He should take his horns in for polishing.
Especially if it's on a leather strap
Would you recommend crono 24 over eBay ? I live in St. John’s Newfoundland Canada and I’m interested in buying a Tudor but there is no Tudor dealer here so I’ve seen a few on eBay but I’m very nervous spending a few thousand dollars on eBay
Adrian: I think I completed my watch collection
*buys a new Rolex after a week*
must be nice to be rich
Classic if you actually watch the channel regularly you would know that’s not true
Pinkish it’s not true but it’s still funny 😂
Lol...right?
Me in a nutshell, but with cheaper watches
That's correct. Scotland is going to feel relatively crime-free compared to the area in London that I live in, well for the next 5 days.
Bark and Jack Just don’t go into a Glasgow greasy spoon and ask for a “Full English” - both you and the Rolex will be toast.
"Krav Magar" lol
Can't get any more British than that
I’ve bought a few watches on eBay with no problem but it’s all about buying the seller.
I love the no date. Looks great !

Thanks for watching mate. All the M versions of the 14060 models were COSC certified. They just didn’t change the dial until 2007.
Also the box is not original; not an issue, but I distinctly remember what mine looked like, before I gave to the kids to play with ☹️
Yeah I wasn’t sure about the box myself. It’s not uncommon for incorrect boxes to be issued by the AD. My explorer II from 2000 came in a slightly larger box.
5:27 but the two-liner was not chronometer certified?
Tim Mosso's Sunglasses it isn’t. There’s a lot wrong with the deal he got.
Box looks much older than 2002. Same design as my 1978.
I wish I had seen this, before buying a pre-owned Invicta off eBay. Now I wonder if it’s real... 🤔
lol invictas are cheap mate dont worry about it, im sure its the real deal
Cristian W LOL! Yes, just a bit of humor. I started to say Casio, but they are better.
@@randyporter3491 ahh got ya! hahah
I feel that in your latest videos your presentation skills and energy have gone up a level
Thanks buddy. I’ve started to stand up which feels more natural than sitting down, which I used to do. Sitting down felt so formal. I don’t want to be formal. 👍🏻
Great video Adrian!
What do people think of the old school Sea-Dweller 16600 ?
Would love to see a review on the 16600
My favorite submariner ! Congratulations 👍
How much did you pay to get your Rolex serviced.
„Berely worn“, 😂 I have 20+ yo watches, worn daily, which look way better!
And calling 6K „reasonable“ for a 3K watch is insane! 🙄
It was a 3k watch 5-6 years ago.
It’s all about resale value. Rolex keep their value because of the brand name. Guess it’s like anything where demand outstrips “supply”.
Can't find these for 3k anymore. The cheapest you're going to find will have a 5k asking price, so even if you drive a hard bargain, you're looking at 4.5k and that will be for one in much worse condition.
How many twenty year old watches that you have worn every day do you have?
Ha, ha...he said, “$3K watch...”. Spoken like a truly uniformed (and/or dated) Rolex “expert”. If you think you can still buy any Sub for $3K, please send me your info as I’ve got a few bridges to sell you too!
