if you put her hair in pigtails and loop the straps around the hair ties, it can help alleviate some sensory issues if that's contributing to her not wanting to wear them.
If Mom and Dad wear them every time you leave for work or going out.. Ask B to bring your mask to the door so she sees it is for use outside. I made one for my granddaughter and her teddy.. Baby steps
I don’t know if Braylee is into sniffing, but Dusty has to sniff everything. We got her to wear her mask by putting a drop of lemon essential oil inside.
The Wee Family Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a cure all. But it’s the closest we get to wearing it. She still rips it off often and throws it on the floor, so we need to carry a backup for when the first one touches a public floor.
@@TheWeeFamily Hi. I have just found your channel. It's great. I am 24, I have autism and sensory overload and I live in the United Kingdom. I do not want to wear masks in shops and now it has become compulsory in our country to wear them in shops. I get nervous and anxious about wearing them. For me I don't like things covering my face, in particular my mouth because I feel like I can't breathe. Luckily I can get a letter that says I have autism and sensory overload and do not need to wear face masks because it can cause me severe distress. After a few seconds I would take the face mask off my face. I am keeping my distance from others to keep myself and others safe. I am also trying not to go out too often. I hope you find a solution. Good luck. 💜🍀
You may want to find pictures of kids wearing them. It may help. I have to wear them at work so I use a running wrap. So far the hospital I work for is pretty lenient.
I’ve heard that children and anyone with special needs isn’t required to wear a mask. I wouldn’t worry about her not wearing a mask. If anyone says anything to you it would be a great teaching moment to explain autism to that person. She was so cute on the trampoline talking away.
Many are commenting similar and it’s very reassuring to know. Even still it could have teachable moments if someone is in public with a person without a mask in a place where it is required. She loves her trampoline 🙂
@@TheWeeFamily It would only be nessary if she had a terminal illness that the virus could kill her. Like for me I'm diabetic and on heart medcation. I am also an aspie so not fun wearing a mask but, gotta do what you gotta do.
I came from another forum where this exact thing was being discussed, and the consensus is that a store refusing entry to somebody not wearing a mask could be a ADA violation. Basically anybody with breathing issues, or anxiety issues could file a complaint.
The Wee Family In germany kids 7 and under as well as special needs children aren’t required to wear one.Doctors even stated that they shouldn’t because kids can’t really tell when they won’t get enough air/when they are breathing in „bad“ air , in my nieces kindergarten shes even not allowed to wear one because of that. Lots of love from Germany 🥰
I am an adult with ear touch sensory issues and with a mask on I feel as though I am smothering!!! Cannot wear them! Your daughter is a joy to watch and I love how patient and loving you both are with her. She is truly blessed, beautiful, and a happy little girl! Thank you for sharing your family with others. Joy, Blessings, and Love, Always!
I swear I only heard of that new kind of toothbrush this week. I was trying to think of a way to get Braylee to wear a mask... it might be easier if you make your own. Does she like to pick her own outfits for the day? Maybe you could make some in a variety of colors to match her clothes. Does she have a hook where she hangs up her coat? Maybe add a hook for each of you to keep masks on. Or maybe playing dress-up and she's the doctor putting a bandaid on You? I hope she adjusts soon to the change. I love that she let you put the mask on and she pushed it up on her hair. I had a thought earlier that you could put a bandana on her head, and when needed, pull it down for a mask like masks are for virus bandits? Lol
She doesn’t pick out her clothes. She hasn’t seen any of us in masks since she doesn’t go with and I work while she’s still sleeping. Those are all good ideas though!
I don’t think others get the challenges we have getting our kids to do the simplest things. A mask no way could I get my son to wear one. I gave up. It caused more stress than it was worth. I feel you on this one. No advice because I’m defeated. I like Braylee’s way of wearing it better. She has style 😉
It’s a sensory nightmare. Even I struggle with them from heat and fogging glasses etc but I can tolerate it. It’s so much more for them. I have seen some good suggestions through the comments if any of those may help you guys ❤️ We have Braylee’s yearly wellness exam next week and will probably ask for a note just in case. They aren’t required here yet but it never hurts to prepare.
Shes just so dang cute😂😍 lmao she killed me out when she started licking the new toothbrush 💙 With the mask shes like "nah this thing is definitely a headband you guys" 🤷🏻♀️
I live in an area where most people wear masks. I do not wear a mask and my nephew with autism refuses to. I don't make him. It's not worth the fight and we've seen very few cases here. She'll be fine.
I live in Oregon and Costco is requiring ppl wear masks but I can’t wear them cuz of medical problems and you can get a note from your doctor and they will let you in . And several stores in my area are going to require masks .. I love watching you guys !!
The Wee Family yeah do that cause your daughter has a actual reason I don’t like wearing a mask but I do when I have to go out which is hardly ever lol
Hi I got my son Andrew who has autism to wear a mask by showing him pictures or videos of people wearing masks and getting him to copy them. I also showed him me wearing a mask and now he will wear one while we are outside. I hope this will be helpful for B
I was just laughing about this today. Yeah right, trying to keep a mask on my autistic son. I guess we will work on it and cross that bridge when we get there. 🤷🏽♀️
Don't worry David-my husband's not as good at grocery shopping as I am. He always forgets things or gets the wrong kind of some things. He tries though. We all have our strengths n weaknesses.
Gosh she is cute! I love her little voice. My daughter won't ware a mask for more then 5 seconds and they make me feel incredibly claustrophobic. Also as someone who has a hard time understanding what people are saying if I cant see there face, masks plus a glass wall between me and people I need to talk to is so frustrating. That tooth brush thing looks pretty cool!
I live in NYC. The Governor's executive order says that only people who can medically talorate a mask or face covering must have one. Yet, some businesses are refusing to let those without one access to their stores. Its frustrating. I wouldn't worry about it unless your questioned. Be prepared to offer a brief explanation. I have the governors order bookmarked on my cell phone. Yes, I've been stopped and it can feel as if you've done something wrong. I have definitely broken down crying out of frustration a number of times.
I'm so happy I see dishes in your sink, I don't feel bad about all of mine now lol I said to the hubby no one is coming round, this virus is giving me a break from house work, I love watching the birds, I've got a bird feeding station in the front and back garden and coconut shell's around the garden filled with fat balls, I've spent the past week making ear protectors out of clay and I'm posting them out to people in the town I live in, it's just a big letter S so I'm trying to make them as pretty as I can, thank you as always for sharing your family with us, blessings and stay safe
Dishes are always our least favorite. Having all of us home has definitely created more dirty dishes too. I think some of our neighbors have bird feeders. We have a little nest that they use every year under the stairs of our deck.
Hey Wee family! I have that problem with my lil guy. What worked for my guy was that he agreed to wear only the cheesy plastic Halloween masks ( Incredible Hulk, Shrek, Captain Underpants) with or w/o costume . I super glued fabric over the mouth holes. That way he can go shopping with me -for a few moments- and still have a bit of fun. I've even gotten into costume for a couple shopping trips. Sure we've gotten a few strange looks but mostly grins and chuckles.
Y’all make things seem so fun! My brother is autistic And I have asthma So when I wear my mark I’ll start blacking out in like 5 minutes. My parents are amazing people and have done amazing things but It’s good to see Braylee.
My friend made me a mask with my SPD in mind. Maybe get a bunch of different kinds of fabric samples and see what her favorites are (color and texture wise) as well as using really soft hair ties (the ones my friend got for my mask are like a stuffed animal!!). That really helped me!! I know Braylee isn’t me, but I do get how much SPD sucks!! Uncomfortable fabrics feel like hay to me, and I bet it feels something like that to Braylee. Good luck with the mask!!! Sending my love!!!
That’s great that your friend did that 🙂 she actually has gotten to wear it a bit more but she also hasn’t had the need to just yet as they aren’t required here and she hasn’t been out anywhere.
The Wee Family I have a disability too but back then when my parents found out when I was 4 they were told I’m gonna be slower which I am but now that I’m older age 23 I wanna eventually find out what I have
I am immunocompromised and also deal with extreme sensory issues. My state is mandatory for masks if you are in public. I had to go through 4 different masks to find one that I would tolerate for even 5 minutes. I still pull it off all the time and my husband makes me put it back on. It has been such a struggle. Thank you for not forcing the mask with her, my parents forced me into things as a kid and I developed PTSD and anxiety from it. Love watching your videos
It’s not a huge necessity for her at this point and it’s not worth causing her unnecessary stress either. We do what we can but know where to draw the line. We do that a lot with things- try a variety to see what she does best with. ❤️❤️
Thanks for sharing Wee Family. Loved seeing old videos of Braylee at the end. By the way, that was a Purple Finch you saw on the porch. We get those in N.H.
Unless you absolutely have to take her out, then just dont. That would be the easiest for her. I haven't taken my kids anywhere since thisnwtarted but I'm lucky enough to have a mom that I live with so I just do all the shopping.
@@TheWeeFamily that's good. I'm sure it's super uncomfortable for her. My oldest has child has one too but thankfully she hasn't had to use it yet. I have no idea how I'd get the 3 year old to wear one if I had to. I have autism and having to wear it gives me panic attacks, but I've been doing it so my mom doesn't have to go out. This whole thing sucks, I'm sorry it's been hard for her too. You guys are awesome parents.
Here in MA, a mask/face covering order is required as of May 6th for anyone over 2yrs old unless there is a medical condition where they cannot and unable to social distance both indoors and outdoors. However, documentation if unable to wear is not required, so I am not sure what happens if you just don't wear one and are capable of doing so.
That's a cool toothbrush. Is it just for kids? Braylee seems to like it. She wasn't afraid to try it. Cute mask. Loved how she put it on her head. lol 😅 She's, soooo, adorable. Your grass is looking nice and green. Hopefully, no more snow passes through. B, sure, was enjoying bouncing on the trampoline with her ball. Does she try to do any flips? Have a wonderful day...🌞😎🚵🌻🌷🌼🌹🌸 Love and Hugs...🤗💙😘❤😍💖
This specific one has two sizes, 3-7yrs or 7-15 but I’ve seen them for adults as well 🙂 It’s definitely starting to get nice and green!! We shouldn’t be getting more snow for the year but still may get a freeze here or there. She used to do somersaults sometimes but it’s been a while
I don't know if this is an option in America, but here in Germany you can also wear a scarf over your mouth and nose and for me that's far more comfortable sensory-wise (I wear those scarfs that are basically a long tube), so maybe you can try if she would wear those.
Thank you for talking about this subject. My son with Autism won't wear a mask & my concern is someone in public not recognizing our situation & I feel apprehensive about having my son in a situation where he could get upset.
Braylee is definitely getting better about it but I know the struggle is so real among the autism and special needs community. We haven’t taken her anywhere just as a precaution but also to avoid instances that may cause issues. It is so hard and not many people understand publicly or aren’t always the best with allowances for those who truly struggle. Hang in there 💗
@@TheWeeFamily I took my son out yesterday to get his favorite food. We haven't been out since our state(Missouri) made masks mandatory. From my experience, since my son became an adult(22 now) it's easier for the public in general to see that he has a challenge. When he was younger folks had difficulty figuring it out. Anyhow, we had a successful outing not wearing a mask & nobody challenging us. The main issue I saw going out was my son not understanding that he can't touch everything like he usually does. Our kids need to touch in order to navigate so that's something to think about when going out ie: having wipes, hand cleaner ect in the going out supply bag. Hope your family is doing well! ❤
I’m glad it was a good experience for you guys! We sometimes have it easy I think I’m some ways because people assume Braylee is younger than she is because of her small stature. Yes, all the touching!! We definitely keep wipes on hand since she’s usually messy but have also started keeping hand sanitizer with us everywhere as well. We are doing pretty well, thank you! ❤️❤️
Bottom line is that it’s not a law, but encouraged and recommended. I live in Ohio, one of the strictest areas being mandated, and there are allowances made for those who cannot like Braylee. Common sense and personal accountability are what’s important. You guys are so very conscientious and aware of the world and others around you, that I feel like it’s a non issue for you. We ALL need to give each other grace in times like these, and remember that it’s a season, not a lifetime, and we’ll get through it. Mad props to B for trying new things! She did awesome with the tooth cleaner!
Braylee did so good with her new tooth brush! Another proud moment:) I can see where these masks are difficult for any child of her age and younger to understand or want to wear. Get a note and for people who give dirty looks...who cares! Braylee is adorable!
She did really well and now she does it with ease. Tooth brushing has never been easier. Now we wait and see how effective it is at cleaning them... but it feels like anything has to be better than what we were getting.
Hi Stacey, David & Braylee😀👧👨🙆 It sounded like Braylee said "grass" twice around the 1:50 mark .... Wow, I was amazed that she put that big thing into her mouth and didn't start gagging on it ..it looks like those things they put fluoride on at the dentist office, which always made our son gag. After seeing her tolerate it, I thought maybe I'd order one for him to give it a try, but I clicked the link and it said error. Were they quite expensive? That's so great that she can tolerate it ( and even seems to like it maybe ) as it can minimize tooth brushing time ! She is such a precious little girl 😇 God bless you all🙏🙇
Hmm I’m not sure why it gave you an error message, we checked it and it worked fine. It was around $35. They have sizes 3-7yr and 7-15. There are many different kinds on amazon too. It isn’t as large as it looked, she wasn’t opening wide at first because she was cautious about it and it is bendy/flexible which helps.
her singing always makes me smile yup wild man of the woods hair i don’t blame her no fun wearing the mask lv the colour bright pink with bunnies her outfit super cute another great video awesome toothbrush i find the mask sometimes difficult because of my asthma
B's like let's make it a headband instead. Too cute. I'm with u girl-they're not alot of fun. In our state (MD) there's exceptions for special needs, medical issues, etc. When it comes to masks. My daughter had an issue with it from March to July/August. Walmart had one sign that said 2 yrs n up had to n another sign that said anyone under 10 was an exception. I was like ok, which one is it. My daughter used to do the same thing with pets/animals-would just say dog/cat when u asked their name. Sometimes she still does if I tell her with a baby doll or animal we have to give it a name. She'll say pig or baby.
Oh btw. If you rinse a cup immediatly after using it, you have to do less washing. And Im worried too, we have to start wearing masks at stations and in public transport woon or you get a fine. And I hate things on my face so much.
Our son is 2.5 and sensory sensitive. It isnt happening. We have given up. Next step: maybe a face shield. Bless you for keeping at it, heaven knows I have hit my limit.
Never thing I was picking on you 🤗 hats are a heads best friend Thats why gawd made them lol .. You guys are lucky that you can wear them all the time no question. If a woman is wearing one we know it's not been a hair wash day 🙄
Awesome job Braylee, she tried that super quick and did it full on, looks like it'll do a really good job too. Win win. No way I could put that in my mouth though, she's super cool, it was making me gag just watching Braylee. I find big spoons and sometimes a normal toothbrush tough going 😁😁
Yeah she did really great! It’s pretty flexible and not much different than a mouth guard I think. I looks more difficult and bigger than it is. Now we keep at it and see how clean it’s getting the teeth
I’m autistic and there’s a card you can download off the internet it’s called an exemption from mask wearing card that says I have a condition which means I find wearing a mask distressing if you download that and print it off or just keep it on your phone you can show it the staff in shops there’s also cards for parents
Honestly, as a high functioning autism and having asthma, its difficult for me to weat the mask for multiple reasons. I'm constantly having to find somewhere where there isnt a boatload of people and pull the mask down to breathe, but it's what we all have to do, we have to find a way to cope somehow. I'm going to try essential oils for me even, maybe it shall help with the odors that make my strong distaste for the masks. Also the factor that it drives me to shop for the future as well as today, because less frequent trips and shorter trips are always better than the longer trips.
I know they aren’t comfortable, let alone for someone with breathing struggles or sensory issues. She hasn’t been out anywhere that needs them and places seem to be pretty easy going with her since they were never required here. Now that most things are back open, unless mandatory, we have noticed many aren’t even wearing masks
I have an supersonic toothbrush and is amazing you guys have to get one for yourselves is the deepest and fastest clean of your live! I highly recommend it!
Hey people who have lung disease can breathe in masks my hospital did a study so people with breathing problems have no issues wearing mask in hospital when they are not on oxygen ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ just thought I would let you know 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My son keeps his fingers in his mouth similar to how she does at the beginning and also hates brushing teeth I just looked at this on amazon actually lol! But my son is almost 3 and small for his age because of feeding problems, so I doubted it would fit in his mouth, but it’s good to see that it worked so well!!
Glad we aren’t alone in that! It’s says ages 3-7 and Braylee is small. It’s fairly flexible. But either way, good to have in mind if you have to try other things
I went through the same thing with the masks. My daughter wanted nothing to do with them for awhile. So I couldn't take her anywhere for a couple months. Luckily I have a responsible older son who's a great big brother to sit with her at home or in the car if I had to run places because my husband works all day all week. Then my neighbor gave me a soft children's size one that her friend made, through a foundation she founded for her young daughter that passed called CarlyCares. My daughter took to it right away, first wearing it for a couple or few minutes at a time then I started taking her to the store n she would wear it for an hour or more,at first taking it off a couple times but putting it back in when asked. Then she got to go back to actual school from September 28th-November 13th n she wore a mask every day all day at school (except breaks at recess, lunch, etc.) I was so shocked n proud of her. That apparatus for B's teeth seems pretty neat n fairly easy to do.
Because of the whole sensory thing we haven't really taken the kids out much. Where we live people don't really wear masks so we wouldn't get talked to (fussed at) but since they don't I'm worried the boys might get sick.
You could try one of the plastic face shields which is wearable with a forehead strap. Maybe this is more similar to stuff she is used to wearing, at least. It's not as ideal as a nose and mouth mask, but especially since she's often in a stroller in public (meaning she can't touch much stuff, or breath on it, because she is contained and not running around getting all over everything like most kids), it's a pretty good solution, imo. Also, so might leave it on her face if she has her sound reducing headphones on, because the straps could go around the ear parts, so it wouldn't be as easy to pull off and would fit more snug.
I LOVE the way that Brayley chose to wear her mask. I can't stand wearing them either. I work over night at Target, and we were just told that we must wear them, even while unloading the truck in the back room, when the store is closed. So it's hard to breath, and my glasses fog up everytime I exhale. Safety first right? Hmmm🤔
This is me 100%. I work 4am typically when I go to work at Target and last week was my first shift since the change of masks and it definitely fogs my glasses constantly.
I'm an autistic adult, and I refuse to wear a mask too. It feels like a porcupine on my face. I have a letter from my psychiatrist saying I can't wear one for medical reasons. Some people just can't wear a mask and that's that. It's not the ear loops that bother me, but feeling like there's a porcupine on my face. Is anyone in your home immune compromised? If not, there really should be no pressure to force her to wear a mask. Get her an exemption.
They aren’t required here. We are in contact for errands and such with her grandmother who is very compromised. Braylee also has not been anywhere outside of therapy and home or outdoors since March. She wore it willingly after this video for a chunk of time as well. We also were not aware at the time but many have told us there are medical exemptions.
Starting today in Illinois anyone over the age of 2 is required to wear a mask. My 3 year old autistic daughter will not keep it on her face, so we are stuck in doors until further notice :(
I’ve seen a lot of other comments saying that there should be ADA exceptions or doctor’s note. Just a thought. Don’t want you stuck home if you needed out but didn’t have a solution.
It was hard to tell from the short clip in the video. Did Braylee not like it over her face, behind her ears, or just not at all. If it happens to be an elastic behind the ear thing, there are 3D printed straps available (or the file if you have access to a 3D printer), that will hold the elastics away from her ears mymodernmet.com/3d-printed-ear-guards/
It is hard to tell. think, from what I could tell at least, that it’s the covering her mouth/nose part. The feeling of breathing in one is very different. She is also a kid who mouths her hands almost constantly. 😕
I have sensory issues myself, when it comes to masks I can only tolerate the ones you put behind our ears with rubber bands. The ones you tie are a no-go. I mainly have my sensory issues when it comes to other clothes. Practically everything from underwear, Shirts, socks to sweater and shoes. Sigh. So complicated. You‘re doing an awesome job. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
It’s such a different feeling to experience too. The sensory stuff of covering your nose and mouth and breathing into it aren’t pleasant for those without sensory then to add it to that, not awesome I’m sure. ❤️❤️
The Wee Family Yeah, I know. I have a chromosome disorder called Triple X, sensory issues and Aspergers. There‘s more then just this. I for myself have no ways to get the sensory overloads away right now. Due to covid-19 I am unable to do the stuff that helps putting it into trash.
I wear scarves in my hair cuz my bangs are so long and out of control and braylee putting the mask in her hair reminded me of when I put my scarves in my hair
I'm from Poland and here wearing a mask in public is obligatory, BUT if you have any type of health issue that makes it hard or impossible to wear a mask you can just not wear a mask, you don't have to prove your condition and you cant get a ticket for not having a mask then
She did better than some! I have a hospital mask from the hospital. A really cheap one. We have to wear one when out in public. It is hard to breathe with them !! I had a hard time wearing it. I only have been out once. Thank goodness my sons do our shopping! I have a heart problem and use a wheel chair whole out so it is best I stay in.. plus I have a dome breathing problems at tiMrs. Do give them a list and money so they can do it for me!
That’s what we figured is that there have to be cases where it’s just necessary to go without. We don’t live somewhere that it’s required (right now at least) and we wonder how they would deal with it in places where it is.
@@TheWeeFamily it's not here either. Sucky part is waiting in lines to get in places. He doesn't do waiting very well. It's was in news here that's there no support for single moms that have no choice to bring their children with them. I had store try give me crap. And I lost it and told them then hire me babysitter. There talk in September if they go back that they need mask.
I’m not on the autistic spectrum.. but due to multiple other disabilities, I have some issues that are similar to those with people that do have autism. Including difficulty dealing with change in rules/routine. Lockdown has cost my brain a lot of energy in processing what’s changing. Now that we’re getting more freedom (note: I live in the Netherlands) masks have become manditory in public transport. This includes taxis, medical transport and a taxi service for the disabled. There are no consessions. Regardless of your disability or medical condition, if you want to travel, you..must..wear..a..mask. I knew I had some sensory issues before masks were a thing. I’m picky with the clothes I wear, can’t tolerate certain smells and noises. But I didn’t realise putting a mask on my face would freak me out so much. The first time I wore it, I almost had a panic attack. After that it took 6 weeks of holding it, looking at it, talking about it, practicing wearing it and taking selfies while wearing it before I dared to wear it in the taxi or train. I got there. But that’s because I’m stubborn and determined to learn to deal with new things if I know it will broaden my independence and access to the outside world. I feel lucky that I can understand the reasoning behind such a weird.. uncomfortable thing that goes on your face. Unfortunately I can’t and don’t dare to offer tips to help Braily. But I can offer encouragement. I can’t even begin to imagine the struggle for those who can’t understand why it’s necessary. Especially here, where there are no concessions. That means people are losing access to the outside world due to a disability or illness they didn’t choose. Hopefully she will become comfortable with it ehere it’s supposed to be. Although I must say.. it looks great as a head band. You guys are just awesome. Keep it up. 🤗
They may make them mandatory here at any point so we do still try to practice with her. It helps that while she is at therapy now she sees the staff wearing them all day everyday. We luckily haven’t taken her in public anywhere besides her appointments which they’re understanding about and a few park outings. I appreciate the encouragement. We really feel for all those in the community who have sensory issues and the masks cause such a struggle for 😔 I imagine it causes increased isolation as well for being unable to go places without wearing one too. Hays off to you for really working on it and getting there ❤️❤️❤️
Maybe you can find a mask in her size with a big cheesy cartoon smile on it. I bet she would get a kick out of mugging in the mirror and into the camera with it. Kind of like Halloween.
Braylee is the queen of rocking accessories that mask is too cute! Stores in MI are currently requiring mask/face coverings to enter stores, my organization as a whole is playing by the no mask not worth it rule right now. Heath and safety of my ladies is always top priority. We have a meeting on Tuesday to update programming and schedules so that unless it’s a medical appointment we’re not going out into the community. We are also going come up with a a respite phone tree for single or what ever parent needs some time to run errands or get groceries!
I was surprised with her love of accessories that she didn’t take to it as well. That’s great that they’re doing so much and really helping others that need it right now to keep everyone as safe as possible!!
Lol facts about the dishes my hands r constantly being washed that they r cracking...where did ya purchase her weighted vest I’m looking into getting one cuZ hes been seeking for pressure everyday almost since the quarantine...and ya I thought about that too about the mask with sensory issues
You guys are such wonderful and selfless parents please always remember

Her laughing and singing makes my day. It really cheers me up when I'm feeling depressed. I love her!
😊 I’m glad that she can help. She can definitely brighten our moods with her laughing and singing

The only thing with that it's going to pull her hair and she's not going to like it.
If Mom and Dad wear them every time you leave for work or going out.. Ask B to bring your mask to the door so she sees it is for use outside. I made one for my granddaughter and her teddy.. Baby steps
She is too cute
Glad she is happy
Which make me happy
Also if anyone makes fun of braylee they have to go through the wee fam first

❤️❤️
Children under 10 or special needs don’t need to wear masks.
I have seen some good suggestions through the comments if any of those may help you guys ❤️
We have Braylee’s yearly wellness exam next week and will probably ask for a note just in case. They aren’t required here yet but it never hurts to prepare.
So early! Love y'all! Her singing is always so sweer and adorable- it never gets old, and her speech has come so far. God bless!
😁💕 thank you!
@@TheWeeFamily Thank YOU for creating such wonderful, entertaining, and educational content :)
Costco and Menards are requiring mask to enter the stores. Good question I wonder what they will do with children that have sensory issues.
Shes just so dang cute😂😍 lmao she killed me out when she started licking the new toothbrush 💙 With the mask shes like "nah this thing is definitely a headband you guys" 🤷🏻♀️
😆 one of the best things is that she wears all her feelings very visibly.
The Wee Family lol GOTTA love her and that big ol personality of hers 😘
So where I live, little kids are exempt as well as people with disabilities. Check out your state gov’t website. Also, that bird was a purple finch 🙂
Think we may get a doctors note just in case!
The Wee Family yeah do that cause your daughter has a actual reason I don’t like wearing a mask but I do when I have to go out which is hardly ever lol
@@TheWeeFamily most places in the Twin cities area only recommend wearing them for their costumers and require the employees to wear them
Hi I got my son Andrew who has autism to wear a mask by showing him pictures or videos of people wearing masks and getting him to copy them. I also showed him me wearing a mask and now he will wear one while we are outside. I hope this will be helpful for B
I was just laughing about this today. Yeah right, trying to keep a mask on my autistic son. I guess we will work on it and cross that bridge when we get there. 🤷🏽♀️
Omg! Thank you so much for sharing the video of her baby giggles ! 😍
my mom has copd she diddnt wear mask to store nothing happend but people gave her dirty looks
😊 thanks!
That definitely would cause struggle and frustration 😕 I’m sorry to hear that!
It’s pretty neat and she seems to be taking to it well 🤞🏻
same
I live in NYC.
I’m glad that there are allowances for it but very sorry that you had bad experiences from it as well. Hang in there
That was a male carnal The males are really bright red. I did a book report on birds in the 4th grade.
I'm so happy I see dishes in your sink, I don't feel bad about all of mine now lol I said to the hubby no one is coming round, this virus is giving me a break from house work, I love watching the birds, I've got a bird feeding station in the front and back garden and coconut shell's around the garden filled with fat balls,
I've spent the past week making ear protectors out of clay and I'm posting them out to people in the town I live in, it's just a big letter S so I'm trying to make them as pretty as I can, thank you as always for sharing your family with us, blessings and stay safe
I love the creativity to go along with problem solving! If it’s fun for you guys and mostly joy for others I call it a win.
Y’all make things seem so fun!
My brother is autistic
And I have asthma
So when I wear my mark I’ll start blacking out in like 5 minutes.
My parents are amazing people and have done amazing things but It’s good to see Braylee.
Why do I have to say y’all
My friend made me a mask with my SPD in mind.
The Wee Family that’s awesome she’s wearing it!! I know new things can be tough!!
Awww the clips of her as a baby are so adorable
😄
The Wee Family I have a disability too but back then when my parents found out when I was 4 they were told I’m gonna be slower which I am but now that I’m older age 23 I wanna eventually find out what I have
Don’t force her to wear it. Kids have an incredibly low chance of contracting covid because their immune systems are stronger than ours.
❤️❤️
Love her outfit 😍 and I wouldn't worry about the mask it's not airborne just make sure she stays clean and minimise her touching her face ect x
I believe your friend on the porch was a House Finch.
We are fortunate to have so many pretty birds out here!
Aww baby Braylee was as adorable as older Braylee!
😄
Thanks for sharing Wee Family. Loved seeing old videos of Braylee at the end. By the way, that was a Purple Finch you saw on the porch. We get those in N.H.
That’s awesome to know! We get a lot of birds because of the wetland at the bottom of our yard 🙂
Unless you absolutely have to take her out, then just dont. That would be the easiest for her. I haven't taken my kids anywhere since thisnwtarted but I'm lucky enough to have a mom that I live with so I just do all the shopping.
She hasn’t been out and we don’t have plans for her to go anywhere, just trying to be prepared for if and when it’s necessary for her to go out.
That bird was a Cariforinia Finch here in Michigan we call them a House Finch .
I think that’s the hard part is the grey areas. Similar to our stay at home, they don’t enforce it 🤷🏻♀️
That's a cool toothbrush.
Have a wonderful day...🌞😎🚵🌻🌷🌼🌹🌸
Love and Hugs...🤗💙😘❤😍💖
This specific one has two sizes, 3-7yrs or 7-15 but I’ve seen them for adults as well 🙂
It’s definitely starting to get nice and green!! We shouldn’t be getting more snow for the year but still may get a freeze here or there.
She used to do somersaults sometimes but it’s been a while
that trampoline makes her look so tiny! shes so cute im dying
Haha she is pretty small for her age and it’s a 14ft trampoline I think?
Oh my goodness! Baby Bee is as cute as the present Bee! 💗💗💗💗💗
🥰 she’s always been a cute little thing
@@TheWeeFamily she really is! Such a sweet personality through her years as well😇
Bottom line is that it’s not a law, but encouraged and recommended.
Good video, y’all. Continue on your road on getting those UA-cam play buttons. Hopefully, Braylee will be seeing Chris Ulmer of SBSK.♥️♥️♥️♥️
😁👍🏻
Tyreese TJ REESE Joyner he is amazing I’ve met him in person and he is such a pure soul. One of the best and funniest moments of my life.
The Wee Family imagine having those UA-cam play buttons
I absolutely love you guys you are my second favorite family channel
Thats awesome, thank you!
Yeah Haha my first favorite is fathering autism and good job on that tooth brush braylee I was surprised that she kept it in her mouth
I forgot to mention I loved the happy flapping that made me smile the most
We love happy flapping 😃
Awe!!! So cute!!!💕💕💕💕
Oh my gosh the video of B when she was a baby laughing over the frog
😄
I did think there was anyway she would use that crazy tooth cleaning contraption 🤗 Dad needs a hat that fixes his hair when he puts it on 😎👌🏻
lol, I am about to cut off that hair.
There is an exemption for medical reasons. In MN.
Good to know!
I’m autistic and there’s a card you can download off the internet it’s called an exemption from mask wearing card that says I have a condition which means I find wearing a mask distressing if you download that and print it off or just keep it on your phone you can show it the staff in shops there’s also cards for parents
Where do you get that my 13 year old has autism and we can’t get him to wear a mask!
Now that most things are back open, unless mandatory, we have noticed many aren’t even wearing masks
keep up the good work david well done ilove this video you are my fav
Great vlog! Braylee you are so adorable
😊
Adorable B as a baby and a little girl now
😁
You guys are awesome!!
That’s fully understandable
You could try one of the plastic face shields which is wearable with a forehead strap. Maybe this is more similar to stuff she is used to wearing, at least. It's not as ideal as a nose and mouth mask, but especially since she's often in a stroller in public (meaning she can't touch much stuff, or breath on it, because she is contained and not running around getting all over everything like most kids), it's a pretty good solution, imo. Also, so might leave it on her face if she has her sound reducing headphones on, because the straps could go around the ear parts, so it wouldn't be as easy to pull off and would fit more snug.
I like Braylee’s way to wear the mask better
If it happens to be an elastic behind the ear thing, there are 3D printed straps available (or the file if you have access to a 3D printer), that will hold the elastics away from her ears
mymodernmet.com/3d-printed-ear-guards/
It is hard to tell. think, from what I could tell at least, that it’s the covering her mouth/nose part. The feeling of breathing in one is very different. She is also a kid who mouths her hands almost constantly. 😕
Hi braylee, love your mask x amazing seeing you take on new challenges x I strangle with my mouth covered x I used a timer for 30 secs to start x ❤️
Aww I can see that! 🙂 she used to wear little bandana scarves in her hair that David’s mom made for her when she was a toddler
i live in michagin its required most comply
It’s not required here and it’s really hit or miss when people wear them.
I'm from Poland and here wearing a mask in public is obligatory, BUT if you have any type of health issue that makes it hard or impossible to wear a mask you can just not wear a mask, you don't have to prove your condition and you cant get a ticket for not having a mask then
I’m glad that they’re considering those things!
That’s what we do for my mom as well. We get all the things that she needs and drop them off for her so that she doesn’t go out as she has many risks.
you may want to stop her from runing into the net because mine fell in yesterday
My guy won't wear one either. We still go out as I'm single mom.
Hays off to you for really working on it and getting there ❤️❤️❤️
such a big girl!
Put little plants 🌱 in your cups you don’t want and give them away
In Birmingham if you don’t wear a mask in public you have to pay a fine or spend 30 days in jail.
I'm not gonna lie - that "toothbrush" looks scary.
Seems to be a fairly common thought. She loves it now, a few days in so we are just gonna roll with it and see how it goes
It reminds me of one of those DIY teeth whitening contraptions on the internet nowadays
I'm from Omaha Nebraska I work at baker's and we required to..I still struggle with because it gives me panic attacks
It’s definitely not a natural feeling and I can see why that would cause panic attacks.
Do those toothbrush bite things also excist for adults because I hate doing it.

In England anyone who has a disability or medical breathing condition doesn’t have to wear a mask.
