For the gentleman looking for the brass watch, you need a glycine combat sub 42 mm. They are available everywhere in many different iterations, can be had from 350 on up. You will learn to love the timing bezel. It is a Swiss made watch with an ETA movement, you will not be disappointed.
Been daily wearing my stainless Glycine sub combat for about 4 years. Cannot recomend this brand enough. I have had a number of pricy watches, but this one beats em all. I wore it on the standard oyster band for about 3 years. But this year I bought a Maratac Zulu strap for it, really like it on the zulu or nato straps. Be sure to replace the spring bars tho.
@@edc.kansan also I know Taylor recommended the Zelos Hammerhead but definitely check out the Zelo Mako V2. I have one with the black anthracite face and it is a gem. Perfect size at 40mm, moderately priced on the secondary market, and the handset/movement is money. Only complaint is the strap which can easily be swapped.
Also, and I know is a long shot, I have two vintage Raketa watches made out of bras. I think you could find some on ebay for not a lot of money. Some of them look really nice but you'll have to service them.
For the guy with the Kizer fixed blade, I’d get creative with paracord 2 ways: one, you can make your own belt loops with them based on how you like to carry and how your sheath is designed, even adjustable if you’re creative enough. The second is a static line carry- almost all of my fixed blades I now carry in the same spot as I would carry a folder in my pocket. Just becomes habit for me to always go there and a similar draw no matter if fixed or folder. I’ve also found Discreet Concepts carry clips to be better than Ulticlips for most of my knife applications if you want to continue that route. Hope that gives you some ideas!
In regards to carrying a fixed blade on the belt. I've found that a 1.5-2 inch peace of bike inner tube fits around the kydex sheath and belt. It's gripy enough to hold it in position yet is flexible enough to move with you. If it doesn't work for you at least you're not out a ton of money.
For the guy looking for a copper flashlight, Reylight Pineapple Mini is an upgrade for the Lumintop Tool AAA, or if the jump to AA-size is still considered "pocketable", Lumintop FWAA or Reylight Pineapple (non-mini) are both good options.
For that first carry, hit up Oak City Leather. Dude makes pocket/scout carry sheaths for SO MANY different fixed blades. He may even make you a custom sheath if you DM him and have the funds for it. Probably cost more than the knife, but if you’re that dedicated to it, that may be an option. He definitely makes scout carry belt sheaths. lol just as I finished typing this you mentioned him. Oh well sending it anyway 😂
basic kydex with holes. I EDC ESSE, 3 or 4 when I can, Izula II when I have to. Appendix with 550 attached to the bottom of the sheath, length measured for depth of concealment inside the waist band, and girth hitched to the first belt loop. Pull the knife the sheath comes off and dangles from the end of the cord. So called rip cord. Another option, depending on the knife, the sheath, if the bottom seem of the pocket is secured and how deep the pocket is, attach a zip tie horizontally to the bottom of the sheath, loop and secure the snap on an ID clip to the zip tie and attach the clip to the bottom seam of your pocket. Hand in pocket, on knife. Depending on the sheath, zip ties can achieve scout carry. Lastly, get a cheap shoulder holster, Uncle Mikes comes to mind, toss the holster, keep any elastic to attach the holster to the belt. Attach the kydex inverted to the shoulder harness and attach the elastic to the top of the sheath, attaching it to the belt. Your choice offside cross draw (if right-handed) I think they make left-handed shoulder rigs, just not common, but it would mitigate the problems with reaching across your body to access the knife or become adept with your left hand (le main gauche). It takes 2 people to properly fit a shoulder harness. Modern Combative Systems makes something called the Merch Harness paracord can be adapted to either side orientation.
Thanks for continuing to do these I do really like the new format. Also, I was able to snag a Rustic Heirloom & Carry Commission Hitchhiker during the drop. Super excited to get that and start working on that patina.
Taylor I’m loving the new EDC weekly. In fact is rekindled my passion to chase that perfect EDC. As a recommendation; (and you do a fair job of it already) it would be awesome if you attempted to highlight one small company within our community that could complete the carry!
I work in transport as a driver and i love my Milwaukee utility knife 5in1, has everything I need to have, screw driver for some random things to fix on the truck, sharp foldable knife, bottle opener for Fridays and room for a extra spare blade
Its been about 2-3 years since ive watched your channel and I can definitely tell youve been hitting the gym! Big gains and can def hear the T in the voice! Keep up the grind and these awesome videos
Any suggestions for a 1/4 bit driver for a small ish bag edc? If it helps I use a Maxpedition Entity Tech 7L Sling. Again if it helps I need 4-5 bits and maybe a extension. If the driver could fit in a Maxpedition Mini Pocket Organizer that would be great.
RovyVon also offers a decent copper flashlight. A little smaller than I prefer , but the lumens and quality are pretty solid for the $50 mark. I added a lanyard to mine for a bit more control since it's pretty tiny
Copper flashlight- Aviso has a good AAA one. Sometimes on sale for less than $20. Small knife- baby banter with Unlocked Composite carbon fiber scales. Love it.
What is up bro ? Like the content . It’s good to just let it all out whether good or bad . I saw this earlier on my television and could not comment. I have been watching the birds and enjoying them thanks.
Nixon Sentry is a cool bronze watch that patinas nicely for under $200 although it’s more of a dress watch and cannot take a beating but it looks cool.
Good video, I really enjoy this complete my carry format and think the idea of picking an edc weekly off hashtags on Instagram is a great idea. Heading off to check out carry commission now.
For the gentleman looking for a watch, I am going to recommend two amazing options often overlooked, but will be unique and awesome watch. Firstly, look into Makara, they make CUS8 bronze, it’s marine grade and their watches are funded by kickstart. Currently they are offering chronograph with date complication, they have a beautiful green dial, cost of around $550. Secondly, the Yema watch brand, has watches made in France with a lot of them using in house made movement. The Superman is diving watch and it comes in bronze, but is a little pricey at $1300, but they have a cool retro, gold plated, digital watch, with red color data, for $299 that’s unique and rem8mds me of 70.
13:30 for the guy looking for a bronze/brown watch: I know it's not a name brand, but I've had a couple of Spinnaker watches and I've liked them. They've got their Hull Diver automatic in Cognac Brown (brown face, stainless case with what looks like some bronze or gold accents) for less than $400. Might fit the bill
The first question for the guy looking for a sheath option try contacting joe at Lancelot leather!! Dude does amazing work, you won’t be disappointed!!
Love that green benchmade griptilian. I understand he got a custom made one, but can someone point me in the direction to finding/making one with that lovely green scales?
@all the guys they r looking for kydex holster.... with relative simple tools and without need of rocket science you can make a well fitting holster on your own..... yt got some diy videos about it
I don’t know why monoculars don’t feature more often in peoples EDCs. I carry a Brunton Echo 7x18 monocular in my jacket pocket, it’s not the best on the market but it often comes in handy. I wouldn’t recommend anything more than 8x magnification though, the image becomes too shaky.
I've been a subscriber from the beginning I like a lot of stuff that you recommend but as a Heavy Wrecker Driver I have lots of tools and EDC from companies like snap-on and matco some of these things I find on these EDC sites seem more like trinkets for little boys to carry to feel like men!? You know like these young guys with these big beards and t-shirts that say diesel power or something stupid like that LOL Not putting anyone down mind you but you are the go-to guy for all things EDC I was wondering if you could recommend something with a little more heft? I don't need little meat cleaver or 30 different knives actually I don't know what it is looking for but I know it's substantial and utilitarian maybe there's something you know about that would be right up my Alley!
For the fixed blade or anyone looking for sheath options. Check out Linos sheath works. This guy is making awesome made to order kydex sheaths in some really cool colors and patterns.
I'm trying to find a Chris Reeve Umnumzaan and I can only find them for like $700 on ebay, considering other knives even though this is the one I truly want. Any ideas?
Hey man, how about a truly tough edc. I’m in the fence industry and often find myself in the field. I like nicer watches and knives and need an exceptional 🖊 without a 300ish ticket. I’m sure you have a bunch of “budget “ lists but how about something updated since it moves soo fast.
I would love to see a video on gf-EDC (or women in general) I'm looking to get my gf some stylish EDC items and her she of style is several orders of magnitude greater than mind :) so I could use some help with suggestions!
For me your missing a trick.. I carry at work in the UK.. for my job. Away from my Job my carry changes alot. Bear minimum also due to UK rules.. but my work carry depends on the trouser I wear.. that's what allows me to carry 3lb of gear as a norm. And can fix 80% of problems at a 36milion pound sports complex no need for extra sheaths of tootbags/ totes i have a grab bag by veto
Hey everyone! Need some advice , I need a small blade to carry and I’ve narrowed it down to two : Boker DW1 and Boker DW2 . I really like the size of the one but I’m not sure if it’s too small to be usable… does anyone have experienced with them and can give me some advice? Ps: I don’t not have the option to see them in person before buying one
Rogan USA RPT...base model has a paracord wrap, Pro is base model without the paracord, Sport has a caplifter...I carry my earlier gen RPT daily, and it has saved my knife from unwarranted abuse dozens, if not hundreds, of times
Bronze watch for Logan: The new full metal G-Shock (GMB2100GD-5A) might fit your budget if the color matches well enough. Probably something you'd want to check out in person to be sure.

That's me! Thank you for the feedback. I'll look into them for sure.
Got the 46mm version. Love it.

Similarly, I like using shock cord on my fixed blades so it stays very tight to my belt.

I used lawnmower tire inner tube for my two EDC fixed blades. Added snaps to avoid feeding my belt through them.

Woah thanks for the feature man!
Made my day!

The customized scales on the Spyderco PM 2 in the last carry is absolutely wild! Great job. So sick.
Thanks man!
I agree. It almost looks like stag.
When I turn on my IPad I can’t stop watching your best damn edc Thank You Very Much

Some really cool brass watches from Ventus, and very affordable too. I'm really happy with my Ventus Mori Diver...

TKell knives make the best fixed blades and their sheath can be carried basically anyway you want. Horizontal carrie is how I carrie my TKELL knife.
16:06 small error, different picture. Doesn't bother me but just a heads up. Love the direction you're talking the EDC weekly. Keep it up
For the Bronze watch, I'd suggest the Boldr Odyssey Bronze . Great , great watch!

Duluth Trading jeans have a large 5th pocket and a cool double back pocket.

That cold steel small knife is really good as well.
New viewer to the channel here. Out of curiosity, do you ever discuss daily firearms carry or associated holsters?

Great video as always taylor
Do an edc weekly for specific professions
Last comment lol, I just got my middle earth hank from pocket dimensions. It's awesome!!!
I daily carry my fixed blade hidden inside my right front pocket. For that purpose I detached the ulticlip from the sheath. (Sanrenmu S721)
In Germany the knife laws are extremely strict and people are already afraid of SAKs. Seems like nobody can understand why even carry a knife 🤷🏽♂️
for the brass/bronze watch I believe lumtec makes a couple different ones
Love that green benchmade griptilian. I understand he got a custom made one, but can someone point me in the direction to finding/making one with that lovely green scales?
