- The Golden State Warriors defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 110-106. Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 31 points (5 3PT) and 5 rebounds as Jonathan Kuminga (13 points) and Draymond Green (10 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists) totaled 23 points. Anfernee Simons led the Blazers with a season-high 28 points as Shaedon Sharpe totaled 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists for Portland. The Warriors did not lead in this game until the 4:00 mark of the 4th quarter, where they took a 99-98 lead. The Warriors improve to 10-11 as the Trail Blazers move to 6-14.

A win is a win, but even after this win Warriors still have a losing record (10 wins 11 losses). And 6 of those 10 wins were by 6 points or less. C'mon Warriors you can do better!
To be fair NBA players right now have become more talented. If you really watch GSW every game you'll see that their main problem is the too much of ball movement in offense they become so predictable that Curry is the main scorer. While on defense their super weak inside when an elite Sf-C for example Jokic, Giannis, LeBron, or AD is aggressive down the paint. Warriors are too small for todays modern NBA. Im curious too see how they can play against a fast pace young team like Indiana Pacers.

As a coach, you have to balance the impact that their mistakes are having versus allowing them to play and learn. Moody's minutes have picked-up the last few games because he's playing much better.
You don't just give minutes for the sake of giving minutes! You need to still win ball games. Fans don't see the missed assignments, being out-of-position, not setting a screen, or getting back on defense- coaches do! Kuminga and Moody are still young, and still make many mistakes. But, they are showing flashes of what could be. They, along with the play of Wiggins and Klay, will be the difference between this Warriors team being a Rd 1 exit from the playoffs, or a deep run!
@@edkiely2712 exactly, Klay shooting perfomance and being a straw man in defense or wiggs being the most passive player you have ever seen or missing dunks, that is going to help them to make a deep run because they may start playing better after the all star weekend, is just that maybe they are going to be around the 12th with a lossing mentality.

@alvarorodriguz3701 I'm still very concerned about the play of Wiggins and Klay! Wiggins has almost seemed lost, and Klay looks old at times when he's running up and down the court. Not so sure they are going to just automatically "get it back!"
If Moody and Kuminga continue to elevate their games, like Moody has done these past 4-5 games, and can show that they won't make some of the ridiculous decisions they do in the latter part of the 4th quarter, than this team can still make a deep run.
Right now, the Warriors need to just focus on the continued development of MM, JK, and BP, secure a respectable playoff slot(not Denver), and keep everyone healthy as best they can. Draymond and Steph CANNOT get injured- period!
A trade is still a possibility in the next few weeks, but I think they will stand pat. Their weaknesses with this current roster are: 1) Interior defense/shot blocking, 2) Perimeter defense, other than GP2, which ties into #1. They gv up way too many shots at the rim. 3) Turnovers! They still get too cute and lazy with the ball- Steph included! 4) Fouling! Because of problems #1 & #2- they foul a lot, and put teams at the FT line. 5) Age! Steph, Klay, CP3 & Draymond hv played a lot of basketball. Could potentially show in the playoffs, which is why the youngsters need to step up!
Not expecting a whole lot out of my Blazers this season, but this was good to see. We can at least be competitive 😂

Steph isn't the problem. We all know that. The number 1 problem is the whole team relying on Steph and not stepping up. This warriors is a "championship team" and somehow struggled against a lottery team and a team full of rookies. They need a big man who can protect the paint. The points they allowing in the paint is massive. They need to figure this out. I hope before the all star break, they hire some Legit and a reliable big man. Saric can't play the center. He's a scoring forward.

I will admit that this Kuminga performance gives hope. He actually demonstrated a basketball IQ and a feel for the game. However in the past with Kuminga this has been fools gold. Let’s see if he follows this up with some additional quality games or some lackadaisical listless duds. It is hard to explain the lack of engine at times with Kuminga, Wiggins and even Klay.

He did travel, his left foot slipped for a 3rd step. You can get mad at refs inconsistently calling travels, but he did travel on that play regardless

People talk about the amazing play by draymond, I agree but I think it is also important to talk about Steph's gravity. Draymond can easily fake hand off every game because people have to double steph. Even if steph's defender is slightly behind because of Draymond's "screen", steph will just shoot a 3 and it is over, so draymond's defender essentially have to cover steph's defender who still needs to chase after steph. Draymond can get a few free points from faking handoff every single game.
When klay will shoot, i knew it will miss. Send klay to G league

A win is a win. But to win this way to this team is very concerning to me. This Trailblazzers don't have Dame anymore. We used to lead them by so many points to take Steph and Klay out the last 5 min of the game. We are not done as a dynasty. We have to find our way back. Our pedigree has to show up sooner than later. There teams far more skilled and talented to face ahead to our way for ring #5.
