Great Video, really good to see what went into the Golf, lots of bits! think i helped grid it up earlier in the year at Combe and the TDC, cracking bit of kit!
Reyt then, these gtb2260 1.9/2.0 tdi engines run massive torque push. Why you don't break a driveshaft joint a day? In particular transmission side.. is tt driveshaft so much stronger than golf one? Is it a must to win races? This one Ryan's best vlog.. and you know I've been following whole Darkside package 🤓
The driveshafts are capable. We just use stock ones and rarely have any issues. The Arosa once twisted one but drag cars are a different kettle of fish
@@ryanp6138 what kinda spec are you building it to then? Using a pdm or not? Its certainly more than a day's work to do it to any kind of decent standard
@@nickyross7127 Wiring or car? Not using a PDM yet as quite a lot of stuff still needs the CAN for PWM control. Its a few days work to get it somewhere near for sure!
With you running a massive bias towards the front of the car, arent you going to get a huge weight transfer when lifting off the brakes? Ideally, you want a good bite on the rear to reduce the dive on the front end?
Ibiza race car has 2260 turbo to go 220hp only but it can go 300hp. In your catalogue there's 1749 to go 200/220hp. Why don't u choose that lower lag turbo?
@@nospeedlimits7777 You can go too big, the GTD2872 we run in the Citigo would catch you out on some tighter corners and we would be 150+hp away from its potential not 60 or 70.

Just good luck on that project can’t wait to see it finish
Great video, really interesting to get a run through front to rear of what makes up a race / uprated set up with a mix of oe and aftermarket parts 👍🏻

@@DarksideDevelopments It was a shame, especially with the pole position
really like this series
This is gona be a monster that’ll be a reet job to set up but once it’s dialled in should be a dream on track

My favorite YT channel 😀
Awesome project!!Really interested in the clubsport suspension setup with the 8S hubs
We hope they are as good as they look.
Bloody love these videos!!
ABS unit sounds interesting, more details please
Its always alot of work but worth it in the end :)
Are you going to make a detailed video of the wiring?
Yes, we might sub some of it out depending on timescales

Great video and explanation!
This build is very impressive boys! love the attention to detail in the videos, too. What series are you planning to race this new car in?
We are going to dust all the Clio's in the TDC ;)
I don’t doubt it! I never see the Ibiza in the race as it is, as it’s too far down the road! See you boys at Donington 👍🏻
Great video!
Thought about adjustable ARB'S like the Aus V8 supercar racing have?
I dont think we will go in car adjustable but I would consider going for blade type if we can make them fit easily enough.
With you running a massive bias towards the front of the car, arent you going to get a huge weight transfer when lifting off the brakes? Ideally, you want a good bite on the rear to reduce the dive on the front end?
Having big rear brakes wont stop the weight transfer, other than weighing the wheels down more!
Could you send me a link for the tie rod and tie rod ends

2ft of crack. He's known for it.
Hello @darkside developments. You are making cool stuff. Question: does 1.9tdi ARL injectors and ARL or ASZ turbo fit on a AXR engine? Thanks
Yes pretty much direct fit.
@@DarksideDevelopments thanks. And how much horsepower do you expect with the right tuning on a dyno?
@@TIGFab97 ASZ turbo, 175hp. ARL 190hp.

Good luck! Let me buy the trans once you’re done with it. Lol

hay guys can i get the details of the cars you got the aluminum chassis parts? so Audi tt hubs , where was the rear sub from
?
8s TT front hubs. Rear are from any Mk5/6 with alloy hubs, usually Passat's. Don't bother with the Passat rear subframe, wish we had not bothered!

A race car needs all top end power so 2260 is the best choice. We checked Data and it's around 4mph on the straight compared to 1756
