Din pacate, degeaba avem atata istorie si cultura, ca tot nu ne-am desteptat.. Ne uram si ne furam intre noi, nu stim sa fim buni unii cu altii.. Hello Pedrag, Indeed, we have a similar history.Romanians and Serbs have always helped over 1000 years-Cneaz Lazar and Voievod Mircea of Wallachia (Dracula's grandfather) fight together on plain Blackbirds, Kosovo. During the film is present also Baba Novac, haiduc leader, who participated alongside Michael the Brave with an army in number of 5000 (Serbs, Bulgarians, Greeks, Albanians). In fact, Baba Novac entered with respect in Romanian history - ballads, streets and names locations. Regards

Asemenea filme și cu acei mari artiști nu se vor mai face nici odată ne mindrim cu aceste filme dar altele nu se vor mai face. Acum se fac altfel de filme care nu știu citi romani se uita la ele. Parca cineva încearcă sa uite istoria acestei tari. Păcat ca în veci nu vom mai avea un mare Amza Pelea și alți mari actori care au jucat în acest film și nu i mai avem printre noi. A short heads up for the people that have the conclusion that Romanians used to or is still speaks a form of Slavic language, just because cyrilic alphabet was a lingua franca, a writing sistem used by the Orthodox Church and in administration. Many are making the same mistake, confusing a lingua franca with the language spoken by a vast majority of Romanians (call us whatever you want, vlah, valah, vlasi etc) in a time when almost all the people on this planet were illiterate, almost nobody knew to write and read. I'll give an example, Poland used latin alphabet as lingua franca, but this doesnt turn them in Latins. All the great ''warrior nations'' as greeks, serbians, bulgarians werent so, since their lands were included in the Otoman Empire for many centuries. ,.,.

This movie shows the Ottomans as a heavy militarized empire, a well structured polity, but even so the battle of Calugareni, against a much smaller Wallachian army, was lost by the Ottomans because effectively retreated disorganized from the battlefield and had huge losses, but even so, after regrouped still had a 4x bigger army left, while the Wallachians had no reserves and were exhausted preferred to withdraw towards the Carpathian passes and wait the promised help from Transylvania and Moldova. Nici termenul de ”primar-mayor” nu e adecvat. căci nu era doar funție o civil-administrativă, ci un titlu care includea și puterea armată a cetății, inclusiv a doua poziție în stat, după Domul Țării. Indeed, we have a similar history.Romanians and Serbs have always helped over 1000 years-Cneaz Lazar and Voievod Mircea of Wallachia (Dracula's grandfather) fight together on plain Blackbirds, Kosovo. During the film is present also Baba Novac, haiduc leader, who participated alongside Michael the Brave with an army in number of 5000 (Serbs, Bulgarians, Greeks, Albanians). In fact, Baba Novac entered with respect in Romanian history - ballads, streets and names locations. Regards

A short heads up for the people that have the conclusion that Romanians used to or is still speaks a form of Slavic language, just because cyrilic alphabet was a lingua franca, a writing sistem used by the Orthodox Church and in administration. Many are making the same mistake, confusing a lingua franca with the language spoken by a vast majority of Romanians (call us whatever you want, vlah, valah, vlasi etc) in a time when almost all the people on this planet were illiterate, almost nobody knew to write and read. I'll give an example, Poland used latin alphabet as lingua franca, but this doesnt turn them in Latins. All the great ''warrior nations'' as greeks, serbians, bulgarians werent so, since their lands were included in the Otoman Empire for many centuries.

This movie shows the Ottomans as a heavy militarized empire, a well structured polity, but even so the battle of Calugareni, against a much smaller Wallachian army, was lost by the Ottomans because effectively retreated disorganized from the battlefield and had huge losses, but even so, after regrouped still had a 4x bigger army left, while the Wallachians had no reserves and were exhausted preferred to withdraw towards the Carpathian passes and wait the promised help from Transylvania and Moldova. When the 3 principalities arrived with over 30k against over 60k Ottomans, Sinan abandoned Targoviste, Bucharest and withdrew towards Danube. So plainly speaking a Romanian against 2 Ottomans was too scary for Sinan Pasha, like was always in the battles against Romanians. So after Michael received Transylvanian and Moldovan help, Sinan lost all advance and withdrew from Wallachia through Giurgiu, where at the battle of Giurgiu suffered a bigger humiliating defeat, with most Ottoman army drawn in the Danube. And that the last attempt in history to fully incorporate Wallachia in the empire, otherwise Wallachia, Moldova, Transylvania were always tribute paying autonomies. And if you consider that the Romanian principalities were in fact part of the Ottoman empire ask yourself why in 500 years of dominance couldn't manage to build a single mosque in there? while the Balkans were full of mosques, many were Turkified and converted to Islam. Because that was the sacred deal from Bayezid time and in all ages the sultans knew that the religion was the red line that couldn't be crossed with the Romanians. During Phanariotes could extract up to 65% of the Romanian countries revenue, but never ever interfered to change or implement the law of the land or the faith of the people, like happened all over the empire during centuries, unless there was about children, boys and girls taken as part of the tribute.
