On this auspicious day of Diwali, the Festival of Lights in India, your calming and crystal-clear voice perfectly timed the delivery of Nisargadatta's profound message to end suffering. Thank you so much!
Hmmm? I just need to try and grasp this one Nabeel. Perhaps I am just trying too hard to get it? I understand the concept ,that my real self is not my body. Is the aim to be free of pain and suffering ,by being aware solely of my true self, which is Bliss? Or , is it to become detached from bodily pain, and just bear the suffering in a stoic manner? As you can see I am confused . Great video as usual. Thank you.
The main point is that the subject that suffers is itself an object in consciousness. Just like the character considered 'me' in a nightmare is part of the illusion. The true I is not a subject that suffers, but is in fact the pure subjectivity in which all experience appears, pleasant or unpleasant.
The quality of gold cannot be judged by the rock you find it in. There are no perfect human beings. The Buddha abandoned his wife and child, the legacy of Abraham and his lineage is still being fought out in the Middle East. Any hero you look at closely turns out to be a flawed character. Enlightenment is insight into the nature of Reality. It is not about any individual becoming enlightened.

This is really nicely done. Music, voice and the transmission of NG’s teaching. ❤
This vdo is a tribute to
"Maharaj".
One does not experience suffering.
One suffers an experience pleasant or unpleasant.
Great insight.

Deepest gratitude for the expression named Nabeel 🙏🏼
Wow…great message; one suffers an experience
🙏❤ Coincidentally just going through the very book.
Mooji quotes Maharaj in that statement all the time.

But he smoked like a chimney. How could a truly enlightened man abuse his body as he did? Something is wrong with all this.
Alan Watts was an alcoholic. I think we shouldn't conflate the message with the messenger but I could be wrong.

You don't need to believe.

See how the mind butts in! And misses the Message!
