  • Stop Forcing Monkeys to go Bipedal
There are many reasons for why primates should not and usually do not freely choose to adopt a bipedal gait. I discuss some of these reasons in this video and hopefully highlight some of the coercive training methods that many exploitative pet monkey channels utilise in order to condition their pet macaques to walk upright for the sake of entertainment.

Not only the walk is animals abuse. Monkeys dont need diapers clothes, foambath, humanfood. All this make them sick. They suffered very quietly for many years. It is nothing other as animal cruelty for money.

Structural differences betw hominid and simians: we have straight big toes, kneecaps, curved spines, arched feet, collar bones, shorter arms, and different hip geometry when compared to quadruped primates. Those differences make for bipedal walking and things like a variety of tool creations, persistent tool use, carrying of tools and food, hands free to do things like make fire when it's needed.
Monkeys and apes have none of these. They have the capacity to transfer some basic knowledge to the next generation, but they cannot reason to the point of creating "civilization" or apprehend right fm wrong.
They are wild animals, not domesticated animals like cats, dogs, barn fowl, cattle, sheep/goats, and equids. Their "stink" is the first clue they do not belong inside the house but in their wild habitat.

I think people love the fantasy that these are forever children that they can love and love them back. You see comments where people write baby talk as if they were actually speaking to the monkey (the child they fantasize them to be). They refer to themselves as auntie or Grandma and see themselves as a part of the family. Many are just sad and lonely and so caught up in the fantasy, they don't want to see all the abuse in front of them... The fear, the fact that they are starving, having horrible diaper rash, sleep instantly after having a bottle or seem to be constantly "injured" or "sick" and being taken to the doctor (they don't like to use the word vet) where they have days of painful things done to them by people who clearly have no medical training and then, once the sedatives they have them to make them seem sick, they are fine. And nothing you can say will change their minds

They cant come to terms with the fact they supported a channel that abused monkeys and even worse they defended that channel so they pretend it dont exist.. They are so in love with the monkeys they cant stand to see them be free cause then they cant get on UA-cam and watch their favorite monkey!! You see the viewers commenting When a star disappears they start commenting on hiring lawyers for the channel owner and creating Go fund mes for the channel owner and they are prepared to fly overseas and break in the sanctuary or rehab to get it back for the channel owner.. they are obsessed!! They write comments addressed to the monkeys like the monkeys get on here and read them.. it's far beyond just look at that cute monkeys, these viewers assume ownership over the internet of these monkey and start calling it their precious baby or my beautiful baby boy or girl!! ".... and start calling it their precious baby or my beautiful baby boy or girl!! Its crazy!!"
      Nope, it is not "crazy":
People watch movies and then fall in love with the actors. Given that the monkeys were trained to act in videos, then those monkey actors were also loved by the viewers. There is not much difference between human actors and monkey actors.
People feel pity for Kaka, Mit and Puka because they are in a cage now. And the fact is that this channel, Monkey Mercy, may also try to make a few bucks out of the event of Kaka being caged. Kaka and Mit are famous around the world, for now.
One more thing, the owner of Kaka did not ask people to send him donations because he is making good sum of money now with the dog. Their videos had 40, 50 thousands views and this video from Monkey Mercy just had 15K views

@@luphuong8797 Not much difference to slow minded people!! The Biggest difference is Actors choose to act, they aren't forced to or as you put it "trained to act".. These monkeys don't geta choice if you havent noticed, NO!!, They don't want to perform in front of a camera so you can get off watching them nor do they want to be trained to act!! 2nd biggest difference is that Actors get paid very very well and get to keep their money and not have provide for the family that stole them like these monkeys do!! You must really truly believe that these Monkeys run up to these channel owners in the wild and beg them to take them home and beg them for diapers, clothes, and a camera they can perform in front of, but they don't!! I never went to a movie and had to see PayPal account information go across the screen so gullible and clueless viewers like you can donate.. swear you people don't use your brains when you try and defend animal abuse!! @@hughgeorgie2097Where do you get your information? Because it is wrong. A macaque will take a step or two on two legs but always with their knees bent and their backs hunched. But they do not spend 60% of their time walking on two legs. I watch lots of videos of macaques in the wild, the REAL wild, not the Angkor Wat videos where the majority of the monkeys there are abandoned pet monkeys who were trained to walk on two legs and will do so for the camera in hopes of getting food.
In the videos I watch it is actually rare to see a macaque walk on two legs. When they do, it is because they are trying to hold onto a baby and food and get away so no one takes their food, so they take a couple of steps, then plop down to eat. There is even a mama monkey that has two babies and she walks on all 4’s.
In a coup,e of videos I have seen, there is a macaque who somehow, had the lower part of his arm cut off, the man making the video thinks it lost it in a trap. But Stumpy, as he was called, never walked on two legs, he got around just fine walking on 3. You need to stop with your BS, trying to justify these captors forcing the monkeys to walk bipedal.

If only people didnt see monkeys as little humans. But no, many people do think they are babies, children, human-like. • @thepeacefulreader1087
      @thepeacefulreader1087 Місяць тому

"One would hope" you understand one day the flow of evolution occurring right now without any human involvement; gibbons increasingly strolling upright, chimpanzees making the water-assisted transition to upright stance and hand availability the way it is evidenced early humans did. Primates are indeed human-like because we are also primates - that shouldn't be a surprise. Trying to preserve other species unchanged because we want them to "stay animals" is the worst of anthropocentrism; recognising their status as early people might be a more enlightened way forward.

When humans make pets of animals, the animals are no longer in their most natural environment. This doesn't necessarily mean that their lives become worse. People keep their cats indoors. Dogs are walked on leashes. Birds are kept in cages. Monkeys, like Bibi, are often closely monitored by doctors. Bibi is not in pain. He's clearly pretty happy where he is and loves his human parents. If Bibi were in the wild, he might be dead by now. I think your intentions are good but you also have a cognitive bias.

To separate monkeys from experimental rats full of growth hormones, the monkeys must be distinguished from rats.
Monkeys use their arms and hands when needed.
The comment from one individual has implications for this subject. This means there is more to the comment than referencing monkeys using their legs to walk.
A repeat: genuine monkeys are supposed to walk upright. Arms and hands assisting mobility are used when needed.
The old world monkeys are upgrading & subsequently MUST BE protected.

You can see in his behaviors that he copies them. If you really look at the videos, you can see him looking at the cameraperson to make sure he is doing what he is supposed to be doing. Bibi was taken away from his owner, supposably returned to his owner, but I noticed his face was different, subtle, but it was there to see. I've noticed several changes in the monkey. Macaques are and will always remain wild animals. They are not domesticated. It may look as if the families treat them lovingly. What happens behind the camera is another matter. But when the animals reach puberty, they have to be given away anyway. Wherever that may be. No macaque leads a "lifelong happy life" in the family! It is ALWAYS only for a short time.

    • @gsmith6026
      @gsmith6026 Місяць тому +3

No. Monkeys can not be domesticated like dogs, cats, birds etc have been. There are other animals that simply can not be domesticated, monkeys and zebras are among those animals.
One proof that a wild animal will always be a wild animal is Siegfried and Roy. They had a white tiger they had raised from a tiny cub. One day, during one of their Las Vegas shows, that tiger snapped, attacked Roy and nearly killed him. Of course they claimed something startled the tiger and caused it to attack but experts said that was a lie.

The monkeys I've seen, who are trained to do it, dont seem to mind it, they adapt & seem perfectly happy. These monkeys were raised by humans since they were babies .Monkeys do not see humans as different from them at that age so they mimic what they see their human parents do .
These Monkeys like Kaka and Lyly are very human like in their behaviour totally different from what they would be like if raised in the wild .
It is illegal to keep monkeys as pets in Vietnam and I have concerns where these people are getting these babies as it seems to be very lucrative to do UA-cam with them .
Obviously it’s best if they were in their natural environment however it is a fact they live longer in captivity.
Little Kaka was obviously happy with her human family and now being locked up in a cage in a dodgy zoo is not a better solution.
There are monkey habitats in Vietnam but putting them with other strange monkeys is very difficult as they will spend the rest of their life fighting over food .
Monkey Island Nha Trang does a good job rescuing monkeys but you will see how difficult their lives are being bullied by the dominant monkeys .
Many monkeys have horrific injuries from the dominant bully monkeys.
Monkeys being kept indoors need to wear diapers for obvious reasons and it doesn’t bother them and wearing clothes is not harmful and covers the diaper.
Walking on two legs comes naturally to them they have been doing since they were babies they aren’t being forced to.
I have seen many wild monkeys in Vietnam and Monkeys like Kaka and Lyly are not like wild monkeys they are practically human.
I do hope Kaka and Mitt get released from jail and go back to their human family.

It's been proven that diapers on monkeys affects their hips. Clothes cause fungal infections and affects their natural movement. How about if I put a winter coat on you in the middle of summer? That is what it is like with them wearing clothes in a hot climate with having fur. Yes, they are forced to walk on 2 legs or they wouldn't do it all the time. The way they walk on 2 legs all the time is not natural for them. They are trained to do that and often punished when they don't. It is not something they do all the time in the wild. They fear what will happen if they don't. Have you not seen how they train them to do that? Did you not see how Kaka refused to walk on her hind legs when he kept ordering, yes ordering, her to after giving her a bath at the zoo? And how she no longer does it? Why do you think that is? It's because she does not like to walk on 2 legs. She also did not care for that bath. Bathing them frequently with soap removes the protective oils from their skin and fur. About all wild animals get bullied. That's just how it is. They have a pecking order. Even domestic animals do. Just like Kaka is over Mitt and will bully Mitt. Kaka is not fully mature yet. Things will change as she gets older. When she goes into estrus she is not going to want to do what he wants her to do and she could turn on them. She will want to leave to find a mate. That's just how monkeys are. Instead of only being in a little cage when not filming she will be stuck in it most of the time.

For all here who feels this is abuse, just look at the eay these babies mothers treat them, and teaching them to be the same way. These animals from the moment of their birth live in a brutal world. So many things that can hurt or kill them, starting with there own kind. Every one involved in this trade including the monkeys are just trying to make a living.

No, monkeys don't walk faster bipedal. They can go 3x faster on all four feet. In the wild, monkeys only walk a few feet bipedal, and then only when their hands are full. Monkeys will never evolve into humans no matter how clever they are. They have limitations on how abstract they are able to think.
If you are thinking about how fast the monkeys seem to go, on their hind legs, in those monkey entertainment videos, know that the videos are sped up for effect. They do not actually walk that fast.

I file a complaint to YT legal team as well about the videos on Bibi. Idk if the YT legal team will take down monkey Bibi's channel but I hope the legal team will be aware that Quan is violating the protection law of endangered species in Vietnam.

Leider nicht ganz korrekt- Entschuldigung 🙏🏻
The VO of these monkey channels earn at least $2500 per month from UA-cam + donations from viewers. In Indonesia the average income is around 400 to 500 dollars. This means: Every baby monkey pet channel in Indonesia becomes a rich man and no longer has to go to work. He always gets new babies when the "old" monkeys are no longer "cute and small". So it goes on and on...

Your estimate is quite low. Kaka channel (just one they have several) was bringing in $15,000.00 monthly.
That’s excellent for where they live. It’s excellent for the USA.
This doesn’t include donations (which almost all ask for. They may not even pay taxes on it though I don’t know that for sure.
