The food might be too puréed, where is more like liquid. That could be why he isn't really eating it. Yes babies should eat 3 meals a day just like adults. 1 reason to learn how to eat from spoon. Cereal or oatmeal in the morning, meal at lunch and dinner. I wasn't able to breast feed so when my lo eats baby food he also drinks a 4 ounce bottle. My guy is 9 months and loves macaroni and cheese and spaghetti!! Keep trying.
