Love Mohd Ali; he would not punch a guy who is falling, even if he comes back at him after the count.
Much credit to Dunn for trying his best. Her was just way way out of his league against even this version of Ali.
Commentator "Dunn blocks all the punches"....with his face 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😅
😅😅😅😂😂😂😂
I don't care if people agree, but I actually I think I like 70's era Ali more than 60's. He seems like he has more heart and resiliency. He took more hits (because he lost some of his speed) but at the same time he seems to hit harder. He just seems like a tougher and more experienced version of himself. It also makes it more enjoyable that his 70's fights are in color.
Yes, but that is because with age, Ali lost some of his explosive speed. None other than Archie Moore warned then Cassius Clay about this-that his strategy relied more on speed that he would lose with the end of his youth. Ali replied that he expected to be retired by then. I think what you are seeing is Ali relying more on muscle power, and probably a good deal of weight training, and his own personal toughness, to make up for some of this. That is why Ali being in his thirties was such a handicap. Note that by contrast, George Foreman won back the title at 45. This because Foreman did not rely as much on inhuman speed, but more on physical domination. These are things that do not decline as fast with age and can be forestalled through lots of working out with weights. Peace.
It's not that people "like" 60's era more, it's that when watching him in the 70's all you can think about is what he could've been if he never had that layoff. Ali's physique in the 60's + his knowledge in the 70's would've been something we can only dream of. Ali's 2nd fight with Norton is closes we'll see to that in my opinion
Right, but then he never would have been remembered as a civil rights hero. He gave up the greatest title in the world to protest an unjust war so that other people would not have to go off to fight and die.
Frankly I think his legacy is perfect how it is, and I wouldn't want to change it. You can speculate all you want about what could have been, but you don't know, and nobody can know a thing like that.
He lost some speed and reflexes yet gained a much tougher chin. If he had never gone through his hiatus maybe he never would have developed that type of toughness. You just can't know. My point is that in losing some skill in one area he was required to gain skill in another to make up for it. It is by these circumstances that we got his legendary fight with Foreman, where he had to attempt a new type of strategy never done before. Would you really want to change that part of history? That would be a real shame in my opinion.
@@Demonizer5134 For sure those are good points, his layoff resulted in strengths that he probably wouldn't have had if he didn't, but like you said it's all hypotheticals. His legacy is perfect the way it was/is. No denying though Ali was the perfect fighter vs Zora Foley and it would've been awesome to see a few more match's in that form. That's why Ali - Norton 2 is special to me.
Ali is as usual. Simply THE GREATEST!
Couldn't agree more!
F***!
Wasn't this the fight where Ali said 'Work harder. If you want my title work harder'.
Super ausgesucht, toller Kampf vielen Dank und alles gut fürs neue Jahr 2024.🎉🍀👍🥳🎯⭐✨
Regardless of some mistakes Ali made in he's fights he made boxing fun to watch and follow. A true legend ❤
At least Dunn didn't give up. A true Leonhart who will always be able to say he fought the best.
Richard Dunn dropped as an 18 year old Paratrooper over Normandy in 1944. Here, he's in his late 40s - but he gave it go - ironically in front of Germans!
What are you on? Dunn was born in Jan. '45 making him 31 when he fought the 34 yr. old Ali.
I always wondered if Ali would have had even more success if he lowered his opponent’s guard by going to the body on occasion, as Holmes did?
Good point. Larry Holmes is another fighter who did not get as much respect as he deserved. People will never forgive him for defeating a Muhammad Ali who was in the early stages of Parkinson's and should not have even been fighting. But, I watched Holmes' fight with Ken Norton, and contrasted that with Norton's various fights with Ali. The fact of the matter is, Holmes took the fight more to Norton in a way that Ali was never able. Good observation on your part.
Broner took the combing of the hair from Ali lol🥊
Dunn was a game fighter for sure, but Ali just had too much for him, he was taking a bad beating in there.
Ali made Dunn look as though he'd never Boxed before, advertisers made a fortune by putting their ads on the soles of Dunns feet.
That was a shame. The man clearly showed heart and deserved some respect. Fact of the matter is, he did in fact connect with Ali, and did drive Ali back to the ropes more than once. Dunn was just sadly outmatched, that is all.
❤ali
Dunn only needed a few more seconds in order to deploy his Don Quixote Defense . The referee must have been paid off
A brave courages man Mr Dunn was. Sadly, though, he's out of his league.

Did every stiff, white, Euro HW who fought Ali through this era wear PUMA Boxing shoes ?
This is at least the 5th one that I’ve seen. The only cool thing about them is their shoes
They couldn't sell tickets...they gave them to the Army stationed there
how weak was the european division
Total mismatch
Ali a great boxer but showed his lack of class by behaving disrespectful to a brave opponent 👍😎
Sorry bro first time watching a Ali boxing match, who ever says Ali is better than Tyson is delusional
This literally the End of his career. Go back and look at his ENTIRE CAREER
Ali is better than Tyson look at 60s Ali you will change your mind after

hahahahahahahahahahahaha, you wish don't equate yourself to someone of his calibre
Muhammad Ali looks so quick fast💪🥊👊
Were we watching the same fight?

Obviously dear
Be at ease 😊
Ali was slow in this fight, as by this time he was pretty much past it, which is why he was fighting tomato cans like Dunn, Coopman, and Evangelista, who were glorified club fighters. He underestimated Shavers, thinking Shavers was old and slow, or else Ali wouldn't have added him to the bum of the month clubs in his final days. His ego (and need of money because his entourage bled him dry) figured the inexperienced Spinks would be no problem either and he wouldn't have been if Ali was even half of what he used to be, but Ali was on fumes in the last days. The Holmes and Berbick fights were hard to watch. He should have retired after the Manilla fight in '75, but sadly, he still needed money (or should I say the people who sponged off of him needed money).

Simply Ur jealousy against
Ali is prominent as wel as!!
@@malikrehankhanzaeitribespa9488 Perhaps you should try and learn the English language before using it to make comments about things that you obviously don't understand. Richard Dunn was a tomato can, there's nothing "personal" about it. Six months after this he was knocked out in one round by Joe Bugner, and his next fight after that (which was also his last) was a knockout loss to Kallie Knoetze. Ali had a great career, but he was slowing with declining skills in 1976, and that's something his cornerman and he himself have admitted, so why this basic fact bothers you so much is rather weird, like you're a teenager with his poster on your bedroom wall or something. Also, why you insist I would be "jealous" against a man whose been dead for years and who suffered from dementia from too many blows to the head for the last 30 years of his life is rather strange too.
Dunn showed a lot of heart there. Credit to him.
Stop the cap.

He was simply stupid
I remember the headline in the paper the next morning. "Dunn's Done!"
O melhor boxeador de todos os tempos
Amazing!
DER BESTE BOXER ALLER ZEITEN ♥️‼️ER WIRD MIR IMMER IN ERINNERUNG BLEIBEN ❤🙏
Class act! Believe it or not, one of my favorite fights. The lionheart of Richard vs the skilled dismantling sports- and showmanship from our Champ, the G.O.A.T!
There's nothing like Lionheart Richard. Ali was just 'playing' with him and he(Richard Dunn) thinks he is doing something LOL.
The G.O.A.Ted Mohammed Ali didn't even shift into gear two in that fight. very entertaining though.
@@jojolisticallyspeaking4266 Exactly, highly entertaining. Even pacifist anti-fighting people in Europa set there alarm clock for the middle of the night to watch his fights. 🤣 There's only 1 goat.
he was so bad a boxer he wasn't even good enough to be in the bum a month club, he was a joke
@@scottfreckle237Schon mal im Ring gestanden ? Jeder der sich im Ring zum Kampf stellt hat Respekt verdient. Richard Dunn hat in München gezeigt was Mut ist.

Dunn got slaughtered can't even consider this a fight
I watched this fight on TV when it happened. Dunn fought hard and with determination, but he was just overmatched.
Dunn shshouldn't have been within 10 miles of a boxing ring
With his looks and clowning you can easy forgot how bad Ali was! He really was cut from a different cloth…

This guy funny die 😂😂😂😂
This was the last time in his professional career that Ali scored a knockdown.
I'm sorry. But this was not the best of Ali. Muhammad took way too many shots from this guy and only survived due to his personal toughness, and quick counterpunches. This was not the Ali who fought Sonny Liston, Floyd Patterson, Joe Frazer, or even Jerry Quarry. In those fights, Ali could literally float around his opponents, and he seldom got hit. This man-Richard Dunn-connected often to the champ. It was just lucky for Ali, that apparently Richard Dunn couldn't hit like Liston, Foreman, Frazer, Norton, Shaffer, Lyle, or Quarry.
Get a life smdh
5:09 😂 نصب عليه مسكين ومااات قافز 😂😂
Total biltzkrig!!!😊
Andi Ali mau menggunakan jurus propelernya,Dun sudah tercabik cabik sejak awal...
At this stage of his career Ali was taking punches that he wouldn't have a couple of years earlier. He should have retired long before this fight.
Regarding Dunn, I believe the trade term is “Tomato Can”
wonder where they got their referee, everytime the other bloke hit the canvas, he started chasing Ali around the ring ...
F... hilarious😊..
Because Ali wasn't heading to a neutral corner and was dicking around😂 tbh he could've easily deducted a point from Ali for it had he issued a warning from the start.
5:25 terbaik
Muhammed Ali ona vurduğunda odüşüyor Muhammed Ali çekilirken O vuruyor
Dun is so funny
His chicken dance is unlike any other I've seen
😂
The Champ just hold his next punch.
I don't think "The Greatest of All Time Gayweather" can afford that.
Ali is too classy.
😂😂😂
Ali showed his sportsman's sprit. He immediately stopped when his appointment is completely unconscious

wheres the old video??
Thats why hes the greatest 😅
Mengenang moh Ali
This guy was zom🎉
🔥
Don't know how Dunn got that fight, he was smashed in a round by Joe Bugner.
He’d won the European Championship in his previous fight. The loss to Bugner was his next fight after Ali.
ah, beautiful Joe
Salam Boxer Muhammad Ali
Would’ve been called off a lot sooner nowadays.
Facts.
ja ja ja
This is disgraceful. Dunn should get himself to a monastery.
Lmao😂
This was close to the biggest joke ever in boxing history, Ali should have been ashamed to fight this nobody, I was not a pro and nothing close to one also in the lightest weight category and even I would have beat Dunn with my right hand and I'm left handed!
It’s called a pay-day.
Holmes had his with Tex Cobb.
Many moons ago I worked in the same hotel ( a Butlins ) as Richard’s daughter Karen who was a redcoat , who I remember to be a credit to him . I met Richard son , I remember thinking jeez he’s tall & big . I think he was a doorman ?
Cassius Clay was a cowardly draft dodger.
