It surprises me the lack of shoes tbh. Like, I expected a lot more. Maybe high heel boots or something more. And masculine sims not having a lot of hair is disappointing but not surprising sadly. I was hoping for more types of hair, maybe longers, some with color streaks. Or afros too. Non the less, I'm pretty excited, most of the outfits are so cool, and the teenager me is LIVING for the cute pink preppy anime style outfits.
I'm VERY excited for the fashion in this pack! I'm 27, but the neon 80s/90s throwback elements are something I wear a lot irl. Gen Z fashion is so fun & expressive compared to what we wore in the early 10s lol! Re. basics: I'm not too keen on kits but I think the Sims should do a kit all about basic fashion like plain tees, plain jeans (in different waist heights pls), plain underwear (with a diverse range of nude swatches), etc, like just the boring stuff we all have in our wardrobe. Also YES we need facial hair for female sims!!! A lot of cis women grow facial hair & many are embracing it which I think is absolutely beautiful! I mean come on, Frida Kahlo is one of THE most iconic women of all time! I do have faith that the Sims team will add facial hair for female sims because they've made so much progress re. inclusivity imo.
I will definitely buy this on release. I am a heavy gameplayer and CAS player. I need my sims to look different from each other and although I personally would not wear some of these styles, I think that these are cute and would look great on a lot of my teen sims.
It’s useable and typically teen I feel like an accessory kit would be useful I get the mishmash vibe of the cas it does reflect what you find in a mall or charity shop of discarded trend clothing. There is a lot of clothing and I do prefer the male oriented fashion to the female also glad to see school uniforms included.
Looking at these clothes really hammered home that I'm close to 30 years old and honestly have 0 idea of how teens dress these days. I bet any day now, the teenage fashion trends of my teens will become "vintage"...
@@EnglishSimmer it'd be cool if they could add them as object-accessories like umbrella's, where they just kinda put them away if they sit down or anything. I think it was like that in sims 3 uni 😊
Hi Mollie! So happy to see more Ace representations! ❤ I would love to see and hear you talk about and confirm the orientation of the sims in trailer. Based on the livestream, I've heard that Ash is a trans(?) non-binary sim, Molly is lesbian, Sidney is bisexual, and Kevin is straight. Can you confirm that? Somehow I got attached to them after the livestream, and would love to play with them. Hope you have a great day! Thank you 😊
ello!! i didn’t jump into cas with a lot of them to check gender settings etc as i kinda wanted an element of real life where u don’t know the ins and out when getting to know someone but from what i played ash uses she/they pronouns and is attracted to men, sidney is exploring romantically, molly is confirmed lesbian, savannah is asexual and aromantic and noah has a crush on sidney
i cant wait to get my hands on it, love the new items Cas + build stuff, the gameplay is getting better every time ! The developers did a brilliant job so far with this pack!
I was so happy with the CAS. It looked ok in the trailer but once I saw all the assets and color swatches I am ready to live my best fashionable teen life! I do wish we had school logo hoodies/ t-shirts and not just the cheer uniforms which are big in the US
The Sims gurus said in the livestream that they had to stick with the binary genders in the sexual orientation because of technical reasons. This is to test the waters and they're planning to include non-binary in a later update once they figure out how.
god I am already desperate for this pack to go on sale just for the CAS alone, I LOVE the patterns and the colors and just all of it!!!! Like some of these color combos are inspiring my own fashion 😍 haven’t watched any reviews yet, but hopefully gameplay and build/buy also suits my gameplay
You should of put the male sim in the dresses so we could how awful they did on those, I saw it in the trailer there's still a chest shadow still. The anime blouse doesn't have a shadow what happen with the dresses. They did so good with making it look good on the male frame clothing in the Carnival street kit. I guess they're never going to fix that. (I know it's two different teams for kits and expansions but still). All the clothing still looks pretty good besides that issue, I would wear alot of those irl and I'm in my mid 30's and proud. (Not the crop tops though). I've already preordered I'm so ready.
Some of these make me miss Sims 2 a lot! Where you had like different torsos, sleeves, and necklines on different shirts, and the ability to layer undershirts and jackets and stuff. It happens too much that I'll find a jacket I like and the shirt underneath is something I just really don't vibe with. Also, some of those hairstyles just reminded me how much I wish you could adjust forehead heights and hairlines. Some of those sit REALLY low, and I always find when I'm trying to make myself that I'm limited to certain hairstyles if I want it to look accurate. I'm so glad they're adding in body hair though! Especially with the werewolves pack having just come out!
I'm very hyped for this pack. Normally i start my games as teen like that i can improve some skills before YA. And with this EP will be no more annoying as hell. Just the school is very ugly, but i have faith in the gallery 🤣
I feel like I've missed this in other videos, but is the whole following your sim to school optional like it is with Get To Work? I know that's silly but I don't think I'd want to follow my sims to school every day.
yep!! if you have more than one teen in the house you can follow all of them, pick specific ones (like 1 out of 3) or none of them! if you choose not to follow any they just dissapear as they always have for school and you can choose from the regular options like work hard, make friends etc. same thing happens if u had 3 but only chose to follow 1. that 1 will be active in the school and you’ll control them but the other 2 will be in the “void” school
I will say that at my Highschool at least, you don’treally see things like jocks or valedictorians anymore… I think my year had like 15 valedictorians and the Jocks were also the smart people at my school
@@Jrr592 it’s been 10 years since I’ve been in Highschool but I don’t think it’s been long enough for them to have multiple “first in class” spots lmao. Jocks can def be smart, but they play sports :) I just think it makes sense to have a valedictorian aspiration c:
The clothes are so cute but so many of them would NEVER pass an actual school's dress code lmao 😅 I got dress coded for wearing a black tank top under a white tshirt, crop tops would never pass. But i guess the sims is meant for living idealistic little virtual lives huh?
Maybe it just depends on a school and different cultures. For example, in Finland we don't have any school uniforms or even actual "dress codes", so I see kids with many different styles going to school every day (well not right now when it's summer ofc). When I was in high school a few years ago I even got to wear a shirt with a skull print on it and dye my hair cyan blue even though I was in a Christian school and no one said anything about it (but I think the teachers would've said something if I went further with the "darker" style and started to wear stuff with pentagrams on them etc.)
it really depends on the country/state though. In my old school in Germany the only things forbidden by the dresscode are hate speech prints and potential weapons (chains and razorblades). There were discussions about pro-weed-shirts a student wore that led to nothing
I thank it would have been Fun if they added period, puberty, teen pregnancy, bands, and having a party when parents are gone. I'am on console so I want more variety
I think the non binary options are gonna come full swing in The Sims 5 for sure. They're just using the expansions and updates as a testing ground I feel

The number of crop tops is pretty disappointing, to be honest. Especially the really exposing ones. There's something about the way they do the colors and the like that feel very youthful but back in high school the first time I saw someone wearing a shirt cut off around the ribcage was on a field trip to LA, with some adult women at the theme park. And dress code was super anal even if the girls wanted to wear them. They could have used longer variants for these because I don't think it really captures what teens typically wear and it's just ridiculous that it looks like most are cropped, although at least some are cropped in a way I can see the girls at school getting away with.
Teenagers barely wear any clothes where I live. So it’s pretty (no VERY) realistic too me. I live in England though. Even in the freezing cold some teens don’t even wear coats. I know it’s weird.
I really wish we had an undershirt category. There are so many shirts that are cute cropped or low-cut, but not all my sims would wear them that way.
