As you rightly said there is more poetic discription by vedavyasa the author. Dakshinamurthy stotra of Aadisankara gives a different way. Viswam darpana drisyamana nagaree tulyam nijantargatam.

I thought he had quoted the following
दिवि सूर्यसहस्रस्य भवेद्युपगदुत्थिता
Like thousands of suns blazing in the sky. Similar to splendour of Mahatma or Supreme Lord. I may be wrong. Who can say which sloka he recited
If the entire universe is God, then why was the war between Arjuna and his own cousins? Why did Krishna advised him to proceed with the war. Why the face of his cousins not seen as face of God?

Einstein quote says part of the whole. That would be Vishitadvaita. In Advaita everything is whole, no parts, just poornam, isn’t ji?
That's right. But I don't think Einstein said this in the context of a perticular philosophy. I thought it was very relevant for vishwaroopam
Bhagvan Sri Ramana Mahrshi, says, ego, which is primal thought, I-am-the-body thought separates from the rest of the universe. This i-am-the-body thought does not exist in sleep, we are at joy.
