Even the CDS can be prevented by the private soldier on duty from entering any military camp if he asks for his ID card and he the CDS doesn’t have it on him
Please you are being diabolical on the parliament issues. Bagbin adjourned indivinitely because the NPP causes refused to show up in the chamber, please note that
We aren’t being diabolical. If the Speaker was ready to comply with the SC ruling, he would have asked the minority to sit to his left as per parliamentary conventions. Until the final determination of the case as spelt out by the SC, the status quo remains. And the status quo is for the majority to sit to his right. If he had done that which amounts to complying with the Supreme Court ruling(status quo until final determination) the majority certainly would have assumed their rightful seats for proceedings to start. That according to the majority leader, is what the Speaker agreed with them ahead of going to the chamber.
@@DanKwakuYeboahTVbut what does that constitution say on MPs who go independent? They immediately forfeit their seat. Even the NPP constitution says the same
@@DanKwakuYeboahTVThat is not true! The majority leader never said that the speaker assured them of sitting on the right. Infact, in the speaker’s presser, he specifically stated that he is not responsible for coordinating sitting arrangements, that’s the clerks job.
Afenyo Markin is being childish and I think people like yourself are encouraging him. You need your business done because you’re in power, the NDC is not in power but you need them to help you to help yourself because the numbers are not on your side. But Afenyo has the penchant of always calling NDC members names, this is not the time for that, already they are not happy with the SC ruling, so you use humbling and progressive language, a language that encourages the desire to come together and work, not encouraging fight. Let anyone try citing the speaker for contempt and see, it will only yield more cracks.
@@winimea.azumah4912 Isn’t the Clerk who is responsible for sitting arrangements under the Speaker? The law may be explicit on MPs losing their seat once they go independent, but once there is a court order restraining you from implementing the law, you wait and let the SC do the final determination of the case. It does not in anyway mean Npp has a case or otherwise. All we are saying is that until the Supreme Court gives it final verdict , the Speaker is obliged to let the status quo remain. For example the laws in Ghana are very clear that once you register a land and get a genuine land title you become the bonafide owner of the property. That notwithstanding, if anyone challenges your land title in any competent court of jurisdiction, you have to wait on the court ruling before you develop the land. You can’t claim that because the laws of the land are clear on land titles you will go ahead to develop the land whilst the issue is in court. That clearly will amount to contempt. The Speaker knows that by convention, he should have asked the minority to take their rightful place knowing very well the majority seats had been deliberately occupied by the minority, ie if he was willing to act in good faith.
