Hello! I was wondering if I could ask you for some help/advice? I just switched from a full on pioneer set up (rekordbox, cdjs 2000 nexus and djm 900 nexus) to now owning a xone 92 mixer. I’m wondering what music software is compatible with the xone mixer (as the store mentioned traktor but I cant seem to find anymore information on that online) and also how would I go about connecting the mixer properly to the cdjs? It’s so hard to find info on the transition process and set up of the xone 92 mixer. Thank you so so much Mila
xone 92 is a fully analog mixer so there is no USB connector at the back of the mixer to connect to a computer directly. You would need an external audio interface to hook it up to the computer. RCA to audio interface and USB to computer/laptop. The current models of xone that do connect to traktor are the xone 96, PX5, 43C, 23C because they are hybrids of digital and analog. You connect the cdj like you would to any mixer through the RCA line. again xone 92 would not have digital rca. Unfortunately, many of the audio interface are discontinued because they are old technology as the modern mixers would have inbuilt DAC for rekordbox, serato, traktor, vdj. mate, probably easier to get a refund so you can get a xone 96.
@ Do you get a flanger sound mixed with the outuput when you have it connected that way? I read this is often the issue. I was thinking of grabbing an RMX-1000 but it seems like connecting it to the master out put from the Xone:92 to the input on the RMX-1000 (then RMX out to speakers) would be more simple. What do you think?
Some people tell me that the rmx1000 and the ah 92 have some issues sometimes. . . .. is this so? I purchased a 92 and currently waiting for DENON players … wanted to find a used RMX1000 but they all talk about using guitar pedals for reverbs and delays and effects etc. . . Connecting them in parallel and series….. clearly telling me not to buy a RMX1000 because the mixer is fully analog ….

Yes, RMX-1000 not work 100% correctly on Xone92, only if you plug on master out to RMX and RMX to the Soundsystem... But you lose the booth and record outputs with the effects.... External pedals like guitar pedals work perfectly on the Xone92... The Xone96 has a send/return Insert Mode output, which works on the RMX-1000. But on the Xone92 it doesn't. The RMX doesn't have a MIX 100% effect output option... That's why if you use the Send/Return in the normal way I used it in the video, the effects come out very weak, because the RMX ends up repeating the audio with the effect. Today i using the Eventide H9, it works perfectly like a Boss RV-6 or others!.
hello there, just a quick question, i saw all the set and i was wondering why you put the volume of input and output in the RMX in that way (the input a bit more closed of twelve o clock, and the output the opossite, a bit more open than twelve o clock) i m starting to get used to the xone 92 and 96 and i ve a rmx of my own, but when i used it on pioneer mixer, i see that you just put everything at twelve o clocl and thats it. Great set, and amazing footage

I realized that the effects seem to sound more powerful that way, since the Xone92 doesn't have a good "communication" with the Xone92 because the ideal would be with an Insert-type Send/Return like we have with Pioneers and with Xone96... Today I use an Eventide H9 where it is possible to configure its output with just the effect (mix 100%) and the operation with Xone92 is much better.
How u connect the rmx1000 on the mixer? Maybe have a pic of it how to fix it?

On send return, but it's not ideal, however the ideal would be to connect the master independently of this mixer, as it does not have a Send Return in Insert mode like the Xone96 or the Pioneers
Ugh… I just got a 92. Maybe I should have spent a little more and gotten the 96 with it’s soundcard. I have a friend that has a music equipment rental company, and she said that the 96, that are now made in China (like the rest of the AH line - they used to be made in the UK) are of very low quality… she specified that it is that mixer the one with the most problems…. That’s why I changed my mind. These mixers are loaded with stuff, and I, personally, not a fan of pioneer mixers..(had a DJM 500 that lasted me forever, but as soon as I started moving from gig to gig the potentiometers got damaged). Then I got a 600 and the same thing happened. But that’s personal choice. But yeah, that’s why I moved away from the 96. I need to get a good overview of how this mixer works - I think I can get an h90 and maybe also connect a Roland drum machine or an arpeggio generator to it. Lots of $$ though. 96+rmx would have been less. Thoughts? Why did u decide on a 92?

At the time I already had the RMX-1000 and I bought the Xone92 because it costs cheaper, today I love it with my Eventide H9, it works perfectly well and I have the fucking reverb like the Adriatique's guys!

Can you pleese specify how you connected it to the XONE:92? What inputs out puts etc?
On the normal send returns, but RMX-1000 not work perfectly with Xone92, only With Xone96 because de Insert Send return mode.

How do you setup rmx1000 with xone 92? I have problems i think.

Great job but how are you mixing without taking out the bass in the low pass
With filters only, these are the Knobs next to the blue lights at the bottom of the mixer

playlist possible ? ;)
Why is the cross fader all the way to the left?
All channels are Crossfaders disabled.
The mixer has switches that turn each Crossfader channel on and off, all are off
Which cdj‘s u use?
CDJ 2000nexus
