Fish the point at Sunset last weekend. Choppers on a Carolina with finger mullet. Black Drum on hi/low rig with fresh shrimp. Couple slot Reds also. Great getaway!

How do you know when to pull up in a basket vs. a rod?

It depends. If the fish is hooked really good, you can try to bring em up but if someone is available to grab a net real quick then I would just net it.
