From what I’ve gathered, they were definitely friends before Pac came to death row and maybe early on while Pac was on death row. They met at the Poetic Justice movie premiere in 93’ well before Pac was on death row and Snoop/Dogg Pound would hang out sometimes at Pac’s house in Reseda after studio sessions at Death Row’s old studio called Canam Studios, which is around the corner from Reseda. Pac was also at Snoop’s murder trial in 94’ to show his support as a real friend would. They also went on a vacation to Belize in 95’ once Pac was out of prison. I think the friendship soured in 96’ when Pac rose to superstardom over Snoop since Snoop was still riding his wave from The Chronic & Doggystyle Albums several years prior. Snoop wasn’t really putting out new hits so Pac became the franchise player with California Love and All Eyez On Me. Snoop became jealous of that and their friendship probably started to sour then. Once Pac was having his issues in the whole east coast west coast stuff,, Snoop didn’t have his back like Pac had his so Pac took that as being a disloyal friend obviously and basically shunned Snoop in the end. Doesn’t mean they weren’t friends before that though.

From what I’ve gathered, they were definitely friends before Pac came to death row and maybe early on while Pac was on death row. They met at the Poetic Justice movie premiere in 93’ well before Pac was on death row and Snoop/Dogg Pound would hang out sometimes at Pac’s house in Reseda after studio sessions at Death Row’s old studio called Canam Studios, which is around the corner from Reseda. Pac was also at Snoop’s murder trial in 94’ to show his support as a real friend would. They also went on a vacation to Belize in 95’ once Pac was out of prison. I think the friendship soured in 96’ when Pac rose to superstardom over Snoop since Snoop was still riding his wave from The Chronic & Doggystyle Albums several years prior. Snoop wasn’t really putting out new hits so Pac became the franchise player with California Love and All Eyez On Me. Snoop became jealous of that and their friendship probably started to sour then. Once Pac was having his issues in the whole east coast west coast stuff,, Snoop didn’t have his back like Pac had his so Pac took that as being a disloyal friend obviously and basically shunned Snoop in the end. Doesn’t mean they weren’t friends before that though.
