You don't need to add an extrude for every new configuration. Simply change the length of the existing extrude and apply that rule to one configuration instead of all of them.
I noticed you converted entities before adding length. Isn't it possible for you to edit the original sketch to increase the length of model from there instead of adding sketches for each configuration?
Is there any SolidWorks documentation that you know of, or other UA-cam videos that show what you mean when you say “configuration to be setup as a global variable”? I am trying to create multiple level configurations in SW to see how they play within Teamcenter using the Configure > Show Suppressed for the different configurations on a 7 layer multi-level design where some of the subassembly’s will have 2 or 3 variants. Full disclosure, I did 3D mechanical design many years ago in Solid Designer (not SolidWorks) and just trying to do proof of concept for a complex multi-level design to see how this works in Teamcenter. Thanks in advance for any advice, links to docs or vids you may have!

very helpful
Thank you! Very helpful:)
Am I the only person who renames their features? Maybe I'm just OCD, but I like named features.
Doesn't work for me. I make new configurations and they make all other configuraitons identical to whatever I changed. Can't even undo.
If you change the dimention in one configuration parts you have to choose this configuration not all configuration that is it
thankyou
Not a very way to design. You shouldn't add additional material. You should change the original sketch.
Yeah I was expecting the configurations to be setup with a global variable

Great.. but how to delete all confirgurations
Right click and delete
You can only delete configurations that are not open at the time.
