Yes you’re right she didn’t show the second row how it finished instead of showing the other side to finish, it’s too confusing . At first I was enjoying doing it but when I reached the second row edge I got confused 😔 😩

Hello, dear Teacher, this is a very old, but very pretty stitch pattern. Here in America, we call it the Dogwood Stitch, as there is a very lovely spring flowering tree whose blossoms are very similar to the flowers of this stitch pattern.
I'm going to try to write this stitch pattern down as you work, My Teacher, as writing it down may help me and the other followers who are attempting to master this beautiful stitch pattern, too.
NOTE: This stitch pattern is made with Size 10 cotton thread and a Size 7 (1.3 mm) hook.
The Dogwood Stitch is not made in traditional rows, as you will soon see. It will be helpful to crochet over the tail of the thread as you go, as working them into the fabric later would be very tedious.
Flower One - The center of the first flower is made by working 6 stitches, then joining them with a slip stitch to form a ring. After joining, *work 4 Chains, then work into the circle 3 Triple Stitches, 4 Chains and a Single Crochet Stitch.* This forms the first petal of the flower.
Repeat from * to * to form two more petals of the flower, but make 4 Triple Stitches for the third petal.
Flower Two - **At the finish of the last Triple Stitch in the second petal of Flower One, Chain 11. Insert the hook, with the loop on it, into the fifth chain of the 11-chains and close this circle with a slip stitch. Chain 4 and work a Single Crochet stitch into the top of the last triple stitch worked. Wrap thread behind that stitch and work 2 Triple Stitches next to the Chain row, finishing this first petal of Flower Three with 4 Chains and a Single Crochet into the new center circle.**
Flower Three - Repeat from ** to **.
Flower Four and Following Flowers - Repeat from ** to ** as many times as are needed to reach desired width.
To finish flowers: after working second petal of last flower in chain, work remaining two petals as * to *, * to *.
#At completion of fourth petal, rather than chain 4, wrap hook twice and insert hook into center circle of next flower, to the right of the second petal completed.
Work remaining petals on this flower as worked the petals on the previous flower.#
Continue to work from # to # until the last flower's final petal is completed.
To begin the next row of flowers: At the completion of the last flower, Chain 11, insert hook in the fifth chain from the petal and close the circle with a slip stitch.
Proceed with the flower as indicated at *, following the pattern to the completion of the second row of flowers.
