Best thing about this recipe is it frees your oven up to make all the sides! It's always an issue cooking the abundance of food on a holiday
I made this yesterday and it was delicious! The honey brown sugar mixture that the ham cooked in is pure “gold”.
We cook it very similar in Puerto Rico, we just add maraschino cherries and it is devine.
YES!
Man that looks incredible. I've not had my slow cooker out at all this winter, but I'm tempted to make this ham now. Thanks for sharing Laura.
I really wish I had a smell-a-phone! This is exactly how I love my ham, especially at Easter, but I've not done it in a slow cooker before. From now on, this is how it will be done. Thank you, Laura!
Thank you , Laura. I would love to see your Easter table this year and how you serve your dishes .
As easter is quickly aproching....when this was filmed in December/January :P hahaha...they sure did have a plan for everything before she would give birth :D
missshelly0411 hahahah so true 😂
The baby was beautiful.
So this is what you had cooking away in your slow cooker in your previous video!! Yum! Can't wait to try it 😘
Tiffany Webber wow you are very observant. I didn't even notice that.
I saw that too. And I find myself watching her shirts, to see if she is wearing the same shirts to know which vids are made the same day. Am I the only one who has gotten to where I click the newest video to see if it's a prerecorded one pre baby, or if it's the first one where she is back? LOL.
+Livinnpjs I look at every new video too. I thought she said she was due last month (Feb) but this was made about 7 or 8 days ago and still is pregnant! Does anyone know what they are expecting, a boy or a girl? Laura is so pretty it will be a lovely baby!
Laurie'spassions! It's a girl and these videos are prerecorded she had the baby
Laurie'spassions! she had her baby end of Jan. it's a baby girl. see links to her IG and FB ...there are some pics
Great idea to use the slow cooker. In the UK we would soak the gammon or ham joint in cold water overnight to get rid of most of the salt, then just do whatever you choose to glaze it.
I have made my ham like this for many years ! It is the only way I serve ham!!!! I do have a problem with the top of the crockpot fitting! I wanted to see your top on your crockpot! I have had to cut my ham to fit????? Makes a mess but it’s so yummy!!!!
This looks utterly amazing! Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe.
Celia Tais truth amen 😊
Looks so easy....thanks for sharing......I spend most of my time trying to arrange pineapple and whole cloves....now, that I am getting older...time to simplify......Love it....xoxo
This is how ham is usually served in the Philippines, especially around Christmas season and New Year. It's almost traditional in our country, we eat it with rice and some queso de bola (cheese), or just as in! it's so soo good :) Thanks for sharing this recipe, Laura! :)
so this is what's cooking on that crock pot at the background on all those previous episodes!
Hello Laura I want to ask you one thing please tell me if the ham is ready cooked went you buy? Thanks
That looks so juicy and tasty! Definitely perfect for all the Easter parties. :)
I would love to see a recipe for corned beef and cabbage! I know St. Patrick's day is pretty much here already but would still love a recipe :)
just have a feeling that Laura is gonna update and there we have it!
I made this ham on Easter! It was so good everyone loved it! It was 85 degrees so it was wonderful to not have the oven on for hours. BUT - put your slow cooker on a baking sheet because mine overflowed all over the place with all the juices! 😖🙈
You're almost at 3M subs Laura!!!!!!!!
I subbed about a month ago!!!! Good choice so far....... for me!!!!!!!!
Luv your "natural, simple, basic" approach to cooking but fantastic dishes!!!!!! 👌🏾
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
This looks so good. Delicious and complicated do not mean the same thing.
I use this recipe every Thanksgiving 😋 so delicious!
I may do this for Easter! Thank you Laura! I love your shirt!
This looks so yummy. I can’t decide whether to make this or your other ham for Easter. For this ham, how much of the juice do u save if I’m going to keep it in the crockpot to serve? Thanks!
Can you show us how to make sfogliatelle, or in English, lobster tail pastries?
Mya Tam what a good idea
This is the only way to make ham!! Yummy💕💕💕
I am doing this on Easter Sunday. Thank you !!!!
Yummy!!! I think I have found the recipe I will be using this thanksgiving!!! Thank you so much
hey Laura, I have a question. Can you brown dry milk powder so it develops nutty flavor as brown butter?
Congratulations on baby Mia!
Amazing recipe and video! It looks so delicious!
Hmmmm, I know it was in a LOT of juice, but it still looked dried out, I'm going to check out the last spiral cut ham you did. Your videos are magnificent! Can't wait to see you with your baby you'll make such a good mom!
whole cloves n pineapple slices are better. You can make a nice design, with the cloves holding the pineapples in place with toothpicks, n add maraschino cherries. Add do the brown sugar, honey, dry mustard, pineapple juice mixture as a rub, and you "might slap your Momma," it is so good!!!
My mom has made this before and it's so good 😍
This is a hit with my family! Thanks for making Thanksgiving meals easy for us
these are the best flavors for ham I make mine almost the exact way but sometimes I add molasses and honey both
Laura definitely will try both recipes for biscuits and Crock pot Ham.. 😃 Looks and sounds so Yummy! Congratulations! Mia is such a cutie I loved the pic with her hand on the rolling pin.
that looks sooooo delicious, and i love that its so simple. definitely gonna try this recipe. i make your caramel popcorn recipe a lot. thanks for all of the great recipes
Hi laura. the recipe looks yummy. one more thing, I have a best friend who is a fitness instructor. He doesn't eat pork due to dietary reasons, what type of meat can he use? He also lives alone, is lamb shank suitable for him? oh and he doesn't like pineapple in the tin, will fresh pineapple also be fine for the recipe. the recipe suggestion would be perfect for him for several reasons. number one: he lives alone. number two: if the lamb shank is used. number three: if it would contain fresh pineapple. And number four: it has brown sugar as he prefers brown sugar over white sugar. thank u.
Does it matter if i put the brown sugar at the bottom first then brush the entire ham with honey and then rub the sugar?
That looks so good !!!
This made my mouth water lol I shall try! Thanks for sharing! ☺
What size crock pot did you use or would work???
Laura is wonderful
This sounds so good sweet and salty omg
What a great idea for Easter! I never thought of doing a ham in the crock pot. Easter brunch is going to be a breeze this year :-)
That looks real good as a side dish to roasted chicken and mashed potato and stuffing! When's thanksgiving?!
WoW, that looks amazing! I will make this. Thanks Laura! You are the best! Hugs from Norway.
Marlice Kirkevold yeah she awesome
Did your cover fit? I have tried to do my hams in crockpot but never get the cover to fit🙁
Hi Laura, how did you get the lid to stay on? The ham looks like it's too high for the lid to cover it.
Chi Chi maybe a layer of aluminum foil might help?
giulia .L Thank you.
This looks delicious! Love you Laura, you always have the best recipes! 😘😘
Hi Laura!! I don't know if it's possible but can you make a recipe in italian??
Awesome job love it
Well now I know what I am cooking for Easter!! 😀
Looks absolutely amazing as always!
Looks so good!!!!!!!
Omg it looks amazing and so easy!!!
I love these videos. I also love to cook and bake. I am looking to start my own cooking channel kind of like yours. I have a killer Lemon Meringue Pie recipe.
Did she slice it before putting it in the slow cooker or after?
it was already sliced,,,its a spiral ham
I’ll be slow cooking a ham tomorrow 😍😍😍first time
I prefer Allspice instead of ground cloves. Close in taste, but has a better punch.
looks amazing!
What sides would you serve this with? In other words, what would you eat this with if you're just serving it for a weekend or weeknight dinner?
she has a great mash potato recepie and mabye with mac and cheese and idk another meat chicken perhaps? think thanksgiving
Aira V it's an Easter traditional dinner. Au Gratin potatoes, green beans (or green bean casserole), biscuits, etc.
Looks so good!
I have a HUGE ham that won’t fit in the crockpot lol is there a way I can bake it in the oven and get the same “tender, juicy, falls-right-apart” results?
Yum
Im doing that thia christmas yum yum
How does she manage to slice it so thinly and neatly
Hitopopamus you can buy it precut in the us apparently. she said that the ham is spiral cut. in germany i have never seen this though.
I’m going to try it but in the oven wish me luck 👨🏽🍳
Soooo good and sweet ☺️☺️☺️
More crock pot recipes please!
I just bought a ham! LOL Thanks for this bella! LOL
Was that cooked uncovered? I plan on cooking this and I don't want to mess it up.
Lori Capstick covered so it stays moist
Jonathan thank you :)
i would love to see potato scallops soon
what hand did you use
Of course anything she makes must be the "best thing in the entire world"...
Very common here, yum yum
Anyone know the temperature of high or low in the crockpot? Mine is other brand and it comes with degrees instead of high or low
You should really check your brand manual or go on the internet and look it up, but most slow cookers range between high and low is the time it takes to get to 209 degrees. At low it is 8 hrs and high it is 4 hrs. I know there are some brands that the low setting is 190 degrees and the high setting is around 250 degrees F.
Ceme612 thank you so much!
that was amazing thank u laura:)
Navansh Verma yeah I love this recipe
Too bad am allergic to pineapples 🍍😕 this looks amazing Laura. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Kimberly Storti I'm allergic to honey so I feel your pain!
Can you please make corned beef and cabbage??❤️
Alexandra Skiba That's a veeeeerrry popular Jamaican recipe.
Cloves of what? Garlic?
make red velvet cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory
yummy food
Why not crushed pineapple?
hello friend, The receipt is not on your website :(
never mind -found it :)
Is this healthy? Love you channel 😊
Victoria Partap probably not.
Food for holidays is usually not, no one's really looking for healthy food in family dinners!
Victoria Partap In proper portions it can be part of a healthy balanced diet - but obviously it has a high sodium and sugar content. So eat according to your own dietary needs, once the full recipe is posted you can gauge if it's right for you. 👍🏼
Definitely not. Lots of added sugars.
I guess if your ham sat too tall you could slice some of the end off or instead of the lid wrap foil around the top tightly and ditch the lid.
hi Laura, can you make a lactation cookies next time. 😍😍
mmm now I'm hungry
As a European, this looks super weird to me :D at least I don't know this .. how do you eat that?!
You cut some slices and eat it with some of the sauce, lol . Most people serve it with a lot of side dishes, it's a big meal that feeds a crowd.
greeeneyes91 same, fruits with dinner etc is weird to me too
I am an european too, from Spain actually, and this is so familiar to me!! But cooked in the former version she made it!
I'm filipino, we eat a variation of this usually during the holidays..it goes great with rice or with bread!
same here I'm european and this is strange for me too, looks delicious tho don't get me wrong !!!
Love your videos Laura >3
Ham is 100 times better than turkey, I can't eat turkey. Turkey is so dry. THANKYOU for this recipe.
You should invite Frank Reynolds for dinner. He loves ham....Rum ham
Ep 1147*
I just tried this recipe for Thanksgiving and I have to say that I think it needed something more. It was pretty bland. I bought a precooked ham and cooked it on low for 4 hours and I think it was almost getting dried out, so I think 4 hours on high would be really dry.
yes,,low for no more than 3 hours,,otherwise it will dry out
Shouldn't this be Episode 1147 as the previous episode on Zeppole San Giuseppe was no 1146?
Is this a dessert made with ham? I am kinda confused
Wow Laura that looks scrumptious!! I make it the same but I score the fat and insert whole cloves. I can't wait for Easter! By the way Brandon, if your looking for meal preps for bodybuilders you've come to the wrong page. Laura when are you going to show us your beautiful baby?
+Laura in the Kitchen Hi Laura! Great recipe as always! :) Have you thought of doing an episode with other chef youtubers too?
it's 2:38am in malaysia..😄
So you don't use the lid on the crock pot?
Anna Griffith yes you do use the lid infact you MUST use the lid or it won't cook - the heat will escape, she just didn't show it in the video but she did say to add the lid (but her hands were covered in sugar and juice) 👍🏼
Joleen Louise that's what I would guess too. It just looked like the ham would be too big to fit the lid because it was bulging out LOL! Thanks!
Anna Griffith I thought the same!
