    Best thing about this recipe is it frees your oven up to make all the sides! It's always an issue cooking the abundance of food on a holiday

    I made this yesterday and it was delicious! The honey brown sugar mixture that the ham cooked in is pure “gold”.

    We cook it very similar in Puerto Rico, we just add maraschino cherries and it is devine.

    Man that looks incredible. I've not had my slow cooker out at all this winter, but I'm tempted to make this ham now. Thanks for sharing Laura.

    I really wish I had a smell-a-phone! This is exactly how I love my ham, especially at Easter, but I've not done it in a slow cooker before. From now on, this is how it will be done. Thank you, Laura!

      I saw that too. And I find myself watching her shirts, to see if she is wearing the same shirts to know which vids are made the same day. Am I the only one who has gotten to where I click the newest video to see if it's a prerecorded one pre baby, or if it's the first one where she is back? LOL.

    Great idea to use the slow cooker. In the UK we would soak the gammon or ham joint in cold water overnight to get rid of most of the salt, then just do whatever you choose to glaze it.

    I have made my ham like this for many years ! It is the only way I serve ham!!!! I do have a problem with the top of the crockpot fitting! I wanted to see your top on your crockpot! I have had to cut my ham to fit????? Makes a mess but it’s so yummy!!!!

    This is how ham is usually served in the Philippines, especially around Christmas season and New Year. It's almost traditional in our country, we eat it with rice and some queso de bola (cheese), or just as in! it's so soo good :) Thanks for sharing this recipe, Laura! :)

    whole cloves n pineapple slices are better. You can make a nice design, with the cloves holding the pineapples in place with toothpicks, n add maraschino cherries. Add do the brown sugar, honey, dry mustard, pineapple juice mixture as a rub, and you "might slap your Momma," it is so good!!!

    Hi laura. the recipe looks yummy. one more thing, I have a best friend who is a fitness instructor. He doesn't eat pork due to dietary reasons, what type of meat can he use? He also lives alone, is lamb shank suitable for him? oh and he doesn't like pineapple in the tin, will fresh pineapple also be fine for the recipe. the recipe suggestion would be perfect for him for several reasons. number one: he lives alone. number two: if the lamb shank is used. number three: if it would contain fresh pineapple. And number four: it has brown sugar as he prefers brown sugar over white sugar. thank u.

    • @Ceme612
      @Ceme612 7 років тому

      You should really check your brand manual or go on the internet and look it up, but most slow cookers range between high and low is the time it takes to get to 209 degrees. At low it is 8 hrs and high it is 4 hrs. I know there are some brands that the low setting is 190 degrees and the high setting is around 250 degrees F.
