Funny thing, when you watch the anime, it's probably the band that is the harder to like at first sight, and yet, they quickly became my favorite due to their music and energy. Also I have a thing for Tsundere so ofc... Chu2 (which is Risa Tsumugi, the DJ) naturally grew on me, and I just so much love her funny voice.
I love them too because of their real character behind the stage was too crazy and make me laugh everytime I see them. It's going as same as roselia tbh lol.
So not only are they super talented when it comes to actually playing music, they're also really good VAs. Remember that they voice characters in an anime, and play their instruments, and sing their songs. Takes a lot of talent to do all of those that well.
@@Cluenzy everyone except tsumu were recruited as THE THIRD (as in the third live band) to play afterglow, pastel palettes, and hello happy world songs because those bands didn't have a live band. tsumu joined and learned how to dj once THE THIRD became RAS
If you wanna know their 'stage names', the bass vocalist is Layer, the guitar is Lock, the Keyboardist/synthesizer is Pareo, the DJ is Chu2, and the drums is Masking.
RAS reminds me much of linkin park as how they have a rapper/turntables. The girl hyping is their turntables person. Riot showcases her skills more. She raps in other songs as well. Theyre also kind of Nu metal, altho not that heavy.
It definitely has some elements that are more specific to metal than rock, but at the same time it's rather quite hard to put it in one specific subgenre. I think it's somewhere between alternative rock and alternative/trance metal.

RAS quickly became my favorite of the bands. The mix of metal and electronic. Then add in Raychell's powerful voice with the Risa's higher voice for her parts and it all goes together perfectly.
RAS really has a lot of potential since most of them have many years of experience with their instruments. There are 3 songs that have me in love and that I recommend you listen to: "Invisible Fighter", "Invade Show" and "Taking my heart"
You should really react to R-I-O-T, the guitar solo is such a banger, as for roselia, ringing bloom is one of their best songs. in the live concert though, because it’s one of their hardest songs, there a few mistakes, so if you don’t want any mistakes you can look at the official song

When it comes to that Suilen pronunciation, it’s hard to hear but it is swee-len, the thing is that it’s a Chinese word (of which I have no knowledge of pronunciation) pronounced in a half Japanese accent, so it’s going to be kind of weird The Sui part is definitely pronounced Japanese-like which makes it like soo-ee, it was kind of hard to hear on those stage mics but that is what she said, whereas the L in len is not a normal Japanese sound, so they do actually pronounce the L in what I guess is either an English or Chinese way (I have no idea if L is normal in Chinese) And to cap it off, it means flag or banner, so the name is Raise a (large) Flag or that sort of thing, so it’s supposed to be about their confident and imposing kind of image as a band.

ChuChu (DJ) was also a DJ in real life, she is a part of another franchise D4DJ where she is a member of Photon Maiden, Pareo (Keyboard) is also in a D4DJ unit called Peaky P-key as a vocal/performer, Lock (Guitar) she has been a part of few bands before her enrollment in RAS, she has a youtube channel called RikoSpace where she does guitar covers of songs, vocal covers, and plays games.

@@MrAdrian I'm a little late, but I'm gonna jump in here because I'm studying Japanese. It's not pronounced like "sweet" like Twisted Siblings said. It's similar, but it's not a "w" sound. It's more like soo-ee. Japanese pronunciation can be very difficult though, so don't feel too bad if you can't say it right. It's pronounced the same as "睡蓮" (water-lily / "suiren"), so if you need help with pronunciation, just put that into google translate and click the speaker button. Basically all you have to remember is that you need to pronounce every vowel.
As a fan of the franchise... im glad someone liked this as much as I did. Please do check the other bands out! Bang Dream has an absolute banger of music that everyone brushes off because it is an anime franchise.

Did you know Raychell have her own album too "Are you ready to fight" it was very awesome in my opinion. And my fav song is "Miss you never again" form this album. And it recommended "prayer [s]" from Rondo too.
Yeah Raychell is gorgeous and her voice is so good. Btw I recommend checking out the studio version of this song too bc it has some cool added electronic effect to Risa Tsugumi’s rapping and some of Raychell’s lines that can’t really be replicated live on stage for obvious reasons.
I KNOW RIGHT!!! Thats the best part of RAS, they got that electronic music/DJ, but... It doesnt really stand out, but it exist... Its like the DJ music doesnt "eat" the others.
the guitar's a strandberg, and her model's actually a custom model. strandberg's got some great headless guitars and apparently they're super light and ergonomic which i think is really cool and i don't play guitar but i want one. the drum set's really cool too it's a pearl reference kit where each shell is constructed differently to get an even more characteristic tone out of the drums, not to mention the beautiful sounding paiste cymbals.
It's fun watching Adrian slowly falling into the rabbit-hole of simping for Raychell.

@@MrAdrian I'm a little late, but I'm gonna jump in here because I'm studying Japanese. It's not pronounced like "sweet" like Twisted Siblings said. It's similar, but it's not a "w" sound. It's more like soo-ee. Japanese pronunciation can be very difficult though, so don't feel too bad if you can't say it right. It's pronounced the same as "睡蓮" (water-lily / "suiren"), so if you need help with pronunciation, just put that into google translate and click the speaker button. Basically all you have to remember is that you need to pronounce every vowel.
It's the same "sui" you find in "suite"

Did you know Raychell have her own album too "Are you ready to fight" it was very awesome in my opinion. And my fav song is "Miss you never again" form this album. And it recommended "prayer [s]" from Rondo too.

Btw I recommend checking out the studio version of this song too bc it has some cool added electronic effect to Risa Tsugumi’s rapping and some of Raychell’s lines that can’t really be replicated live on stage for obvious reasons.

I KNOW RIGHT!!! Thats the best part of RAS, they got that electronic music/DJ, but... It doesnt really stand out, but it exist... Its like the DJ music doesnt "eat" the others.
the guitar's a strandberg, and her model's actually a custom model. strandberg's got some great headless guitars and apparently they're super light and ergonomic which i think is really cool and i don't play guitar but i want one. the drum set's really cool too it's a pearl reference kit where each shell is constructed differently to get an even more characteristic tone out of the drums, not to mention the beautiful sounding paiste cymbals.
Honestly thus is my favorite song of RAS
