The Originals are my forever favourite characters in the TVD show, and I can't wait for the spin-off. I have a feeling I will forsake the original show and watch only about the Mikaelson's. This is my first video about the Original family of vampires, but I shall make more...lots and lots. (Mostly about Rebekah, Niklaus and Kol, though).

1:36 I love how her facial expression turns into broken, shattered hope; don't know how to describe it ... There's this wonderful glance in her teary eyes, it's so tragically beautiful.
"I will be brave" fits perfectly to this part. She seems very confident about her situation and tries to hide her true feelings with a thin smile and something that reminds me a bit of pride.
I feel so sorry for Rebekah. She has been through so much! I love her and admire her strength she's been used, lied to and much more, all she's ever wanted was trust, happiness and her one true love, and that's what she deserves she just wants a normal life and has tried to be the good one but she's just been stabbed in the back.... Literally and she's always been my favourite character on the vampire diaries Stebekah ❤️
seeing rebekah mikaelson come around makes me happy, but knowing that she will leave in short makes me sad.

Aww x If I was a guy (or a les) out of all the TVD girls I'd have to pick Rebekah. She does deserve love. Why can't they let her be happy! She went from Stefan to Damon to Matt to Marcel and none of them treat her right. They don't understand that she's actually really fragile underneath her bitch exterior. I don't even blame her for any of the shit she did.

you can just tell that tough face she puts on is an act. Deep down she's really sensitive and vulnerable. She's easily blinded and manipulated by love because she just wants someone to give her that same love back. In the vampire diaries, the only time they would show a hint of affection to Rebekah they'd dagger her or emotionally or physically hurt her afterwards because they're using her and she's easily blinded by love. After all, the only things she wants is: to be a family again, have children and a husband, be human, find love and go to a highschool dance.
I literally wanted to give her a huge hug and tell her she deserves sm better and that people are so narrow minded, and that she deserves to find someone who would do anything for her
This is beautiful. I love it. Rebekah is the only reason I continued to watch TVD, I just loved everything about her character and it won't be the same without her, however, I'm sure that the Originals will be fantastic, I can't wait :)

It's quite a funny thing with her. She always tries to be good and nice and all that stuff, but she always ends up killing people and making everything worse... Hope she will be able to become the person she wants to be.
Well you have to remember, she pretty much had stockholme syndrome because of Klaus. She's Klaus' biggest victim, and became a monster like him because of it. If Klaus treated her like a person with freewill, she may have became even more kind then both Finn and Elijah combined but instead she became one of the evil siblings like Kol and Klaus.
I never thought I would want to watch Vampire Diaries but I really like this girl
Clair is the talent of the show, in my opinion. Her acting was so amazing in this last season that I saw only her, and grew to understand better her character. She is a poor and lonely soul, trying to escape from the grips of her controlling brother, and find someone who will see her for who she truly is. I adore her.

Niamh Farl Elijah obviously doesn't have the accent and he's probably been in the States for a long time. But they have said other British slang as well (Well Klaus and Kol especially) like "mate" (British slang for friend) for example

Rebekah is my favorite TVD/TO I will always love her
i think everybody should know that her last name is wrong. it should be: "Mikaelsdottir" meaning daughter of Mikael. they are vikings and that is how viking "lastnames" worked at the time they were all born. their last name is a patronym.
the creators of both TVD and TO should know have known that.
anyway i actually really like both series.
Wouldn't it be Estherdottir? I'm a little rusty with my genealogy. Iceland still somewhat follows this tradition.
That tradition was mostly dropped in the 1400s or earlier (also considering they were already adapting Christianity into their culture). If the creators followed history she'd likely adapt to Mikaelson.

When I watch this, I just realized how much the other characters take advantage of Rebekah. It's so sad because behind the bitchy facade, she really is a sweet girl who just want others to love and appreciate her for who she is and not for other reasons.
