Mike Mazzalongo, Thank you for these videos. You have no idea how much they help me because I was in a cult for 35 yrs and these Bible verses meant something totally different. It's been one of
    the hardest things I've ever
done...starting all over again learning God's word.
    Thank you.

Have never studied these words. This is my Bible study with my Christian friend. God is leading me to this. More than ceremony. Getting out of habit and reciting. Excited.

James was one of the best apostles/disciples & his book brief and good. My only critique is he speaks of personal favoritism & not judging a brother which he and the other disciples did by rebuking & refusing the children, shunning Jesus' other disciples whom they did not know and whom "were not against them" and thus "for them." Also James debated with other disciples about who was the greatest disciple and thus judged his brothers.

This particular James, was actually our Lord half brother.
That’s crazy to think that for the longest time James was in disbelief that Jesus.was GOD.. He and his other siblings did, they actually thought was crazy. They were following Jesus, not being a follower himself. Yet after the crucifixion, Jesus appeared to him in private.( how personally to meet us where we are )
In the BOOK OF ACTS. And then his true conversion happened he was on fire for the Lord.
Also, remember that all of followers of Christ were new Christians. “New” in the sense that everybody else was following the Mosaic law . To there fellow Jews. They seem crazy.. it was a learning experience for everybody at the time. We have the whole Bible, the Old Testament and the New Testament and we still struggle with things.

People dont relate to religion because: (the old saying of:)
    Religion says DO.
    Christianity says DONE.
Religion is about trying to work your way to God. The world is full of religions, and they ultimately go nowhere, and offer no peace or relationship with God.
Christianity is based on the fact that we accept that Jesus did the necessary work to make that relationship possible. Since humans will continue to fail.....our faith has to be based on God and His perfect ways. We are made righteous because of what Jesus did and not based on what we try to do. Thats our only hope. All the other religions are based on human failures and they will never go anywhere.

Joe Wade through faith yes. When someone chooses to be baptized, through their faith, they are saved and their sins forgiven.
      They must have faith.

I think the authorship is confused. Alphaeus (Cleophas) was the brother of Joseph. He had 4 sons James, Joseph, Simon and Judas (Thaddeus). James and Judas became apostles, while the other 2 brothers did not believe he was the messiah.

I think the book of James was written by the behalf, brother of our Lord Jesus, in your right he was not a believer of him. He thought he was crazy, actually following him around to make sure that he was safe, and not really being a father or himself. He’s conversion didn’t take place until after the crucifixion you can read about that in the book of acts, where, after he was crucified, he appeared to him in private. James repainted, and became a believer in, was on fire for the Lord.

We celebrate Christmas as the day Jesus was born. Not Santa claus. We celebrate Easter as the day Jesus died on the cross, redeeming the saints to the love of God, successfully paying the ultimate price for our sins.
We worship on Sundays because since Jesus came and died on a sunday, we moved the sabbath day to sunday signifying that yes we will keep the commandment but we will move it to sunday because Jesus freed us from Jewish tradition and law.

We are free from the bondage of law. Jesus paid the fine for that.. hey whoever struggles with this truth, please read the book of Romans.

Brother Mike, you said Mary the mother of God. But God is a spirit with no beginning and no ending. GOD has no mother or Father. Jesus is just a body that God created, just like Adam. But then the sole soul of God went into that body. GOD is not a seed, God is not secondary.
Similar to a tailor, that made the suit, put his name on the suit and wore the suit.
Our flesh is nothing but a suit.
In order for us to be saved or redeemed back to the holiest state that we lost in the Garden of Eden, because the transgression and the violation.
Because our first Father has sinned, so because of Adam, some blood had to be shed and the blood of bullocks and helpers and sacrifices could not redeem us, because their blood was not clean or worthy or had the power to redeem, no one was qualified.
No man was able to redeem the human family and pull them back to God, so God all Mighty could not do it because he was spirit.
God knew it took blood to atone for the sins of man, so God visited the house of David and got a woman who was of the tribe of Judah,
From the descendants of Shem the brother of Ham and Japheth and sons of Noah. And God the everlasting Father, the king made a prince and the prince had the title son of man.
Son of God, which meant servant of God. God did not become man, God made man and Got into the man he made. The man took on the name Jesus and the man began to function in the capacity of Christ.
Christ means anointed one and the spirit of God, he anointed the man, the man Christ Jesus wasn’t God, but what was in the man, was God.
And the name the man who was the name of God, that’s why he said “I come in my father’s name”. It’s like the tailor that made the suite, then the tailor put his name in the suite, then he put the suite on.
Jesus is an inherited name, it is a treasure, it is valuable, because it is a name that is the very symbol of salvation or deliverance itself. So God put the name from heaven, because it is not an earthly name, it is a heavenly name first and then the man took on God’s name.

I do not refer to Mary as the mother of God. That’s a Catholic idea and term. You are relegating Jesus to a position where He is less than fully God and fully human simultaneously, a status that Paul teaches more fully in the epistle to the Colossians. I suggest that you study carefully that book.

Good catch! I went back to review the film and I did say this but I misspoke. In my mind, I meant to say, "..Mary the earthly mother of Jesus" and not the mother of God, which is incorrect. Thanks for pointing that out. We can't change the video at this time and, thankfully, that comment is not in the transcript. Hopefully, this feedback info will answer any questions about this point in the future.
