I was thinking of going back to retire in Ireland from US since I was born there. Now I have second thoughts even though America is also a Kip and lost control of its borders. What is one to do? My wife and I studied hard to get qualifications to get good jobs in order to have as decent a life as we possibly can for us and our children. We sacrificed a social life when saving for a house; cut back on non- essential things for years, etc, etc. worked our way up in careers - hard graft, 14 hour days! And now we get half (HALF!!!) our wages taken from us by the government on pay day. Sickening! Where’s that money going? This is a disgrace! This is a tragedy! This is just plain wrong!
Our coffee shops in Brighton are full of them, not drinking just sitting there for ages taking up seats and tables, making a tiny espresso last all morning. Then they all gather outside smoking.
Dublin is unrecognizable what has happened to this beautiful part of the world,my grandma was Irish and I've visited a few times and travelled around souther island people were very friendly hospitable and went out of there way for us had a great time there,I don't recognize it by this video so sad what our governments have done to our countries,I'm a Scouser and love the Irish.

You need to have sufficent means ie money to provide for yourself and not rely on the Government to support you. 2. Your visa is for 2 years 3. You provide your own accommodation. Ireland has always welcomed legal migrants, having an influx of unvetted illegal migrants does not serve this country well or its citizens. Unfortunately the young educated people of this state are finding it very difficult to accept jobs as accommodation is either too expensive or just not there. There was a case recently where a Canadian academic was to take up a role in UCC but could not secure accommodation in Cork and hence lost out on the position. There is new student accommodation in Cork which is estimated to be 450 euros a week. 😢 it is a sad state of affairs when a government neglect their own citizens .

Im Irish and my dole stopped after 6 months because I didnt have enough credits and have paid thousands upon thousands in taxes over the years, these scammers get indefinite dole having just arrived in the country with no means testing
I lived and worked in London for 20 yrs (I am Uk), was mugged several times and burgled, couldn't even sleep peacefully in bed at night eventually so returned home to try to get work there.
