When I was sick my kitty knew it and was checking in on me, and even slept next to me. Their sympathy levels are amazing.
This happened to me when I had surgery. I stayed on the couch so people could check on me and she spent the entire time I was asleep on the back of the couch. When I was awake, she wanted to be petted. I miss that cat so much.

I rescued many kittens in my life and some I raised on bottle feedings. One of them, Teddy, tried to rescue ME one day and repay the favor! Many years ago I was cleaning under a bed and the frame fell apart and landed on my diaphragm. I couldn’t move to get it off and was having trouble breathing. My 10 pound Teddicat ran back and forth to find my husband who was outside. She was meowing loudly and in a crazy weird way! Periodically she would crawl under and either lick my face or try pulling the sleeve of my sweat shirt. She eventually put a hole in it from trying so hard! He came in and didn’t understand that she was trying to get him to follow her. When he came into the bedroom I could hear her directing her to follow and he got the bed off of me. It was terrifying but I was amazed at how devoted my little girl was. I kept the sweat shirt! It became very dear to me!

I bottle fed a kitty or two in my time, and one of them I've got right here with me now, 19 yrs later. She'd do anything for me, and I, likewise for her. They're so special!

My cat does that every night😊 gets real close to my face and pats or strokes my cheek❤. Sometimes his claws get me slightly but not on purpose 😂.

I'm more of a fan of dogs, but this cat is intelligent and intuitive. He knows that the elderly man doesn't feel well, but the man gives the cat love anyway. The cat continues to closely watch the old man and decides that returning the affection is the best course of action. So sweet!❤😊

How does the cat know the elderly man doesn't feel well? Why DO YOU even think he doesn't feel well?
@@Batmann_ I was an RN for 30+ years, with over 26 years of critical care and emergency medicine. This elderly gentleman appears fragile to me; however, I am seeing him in a UA-cam video, and therefore can't really say with 100% accuracy that he is ill. I'm going by my gut feeling, and the majority of my gut feelings served me well in my career. When an experienced cardiologist with an IQ of 180 asked my nurse manager (head nurse) of the coronary care unit to assign me to an elderly woman whose diagnosis eluded the doctor, I went to see the patient. She was in a grave condition. She appeared to be in no acute distress. I listened to her lungs, heart, and abdomen - all normal. Her skin color was normal for the most part, but there was a gray hue to her ears, lips, and fingernails. Her heart rate and blood pressure were normal. She told me that she had become very, very tired 2 days prior and just couldn't get enough sleep. After assessing her, I looked at her chart; my "diagnosis" when I first saw
her was she was in the beginning stage of cardiogenic shock. I called her cardiologist and told him what I believed. He asked me why, with clear lungs, no edema in her feet and/or lower legs, normal BP, heart rate, and no trouble breathing, I'd come to the conclusion of cardiogenic shock? I mentioned her skin color, her profound fatigue, and one new symptom that hadn't been documented in the nurses notes: a dry but nagging cough. The doctor then knew that I was right. He spoke to my manager, and said that he was coming in, and to reassign my other patient to someone else. He was canceling all of his office appointments. We both knew that we were going to be working extremely hard to give this woman a chance.
Just FYI, cardiogenic shock is when the heart's ability to pump blood in and out is gravely weak. At the time that this happened, about 30 years ago, the chances of surviving, and recovering the heart's functions back/close to normal was 1% - 2%. Unfortunately, although we worked on her for more than 9 hours and did everything possible, her heart gave out, and she died.
If you've read this all the way through, I give you props!! I honestly wasn't bragging. I had to think about the patients who were severely ill, but not one doctor could confirm a diagnosis. Of course, I was stumped many times as well. This old man doesn't look sick, but just by his mannerisms and by his interaction with the cat, and having that sixth sense borne of years and years of experience, I believe that something is not well with his health.
That, and I've been a witness to some remarkable events in nursing homes that involved cats.

I think it's because they trust older people more. They know they won't be rough with them like kids sometimes are. But many cats and dogs are great with little kids! I love it when a dog is protective and gentle with a baby.

If God doesn't exist, then why does the mention of him trigger (terrify) you that's much ?
When an atheist tells me God doesn't exist it doesn't trigger me, I only views them as either ignorant or proud people but I'm not terrified by their beliefs.
As for evidence, there's a whole lot of evidence for God but your destructive pride and denial wouldn't allow you see it because you're afraid of the idea of being accountable to a being higher than you and you'd rather deliberately delude yourself into believing he doesn't exist rather than trying to get to know him more and have a relationship with him.
I pray God melts your stony heart and cause you to see the light sooner than later.
