As a Christian woman , I want to say how enriching this episode was for me. I love learning about the Abrahamic faiths. I love how you young men speak with conviction and how you honor one another as image bearers of the Creator (no matter the exact faith). Each of us will have to make a decision and stand 10 toes down regarding our beliefs, but the mutual respect and honor is beautiful to witness. ❤❤❤ Praying God continues to pull you closer to Him and continues to bless you all.

I have 0 respect for him after this podcast. He confused Filly. You can see Filly was fed by the end ESPECIALLY when he said “This is all just a bunch of WASSS” and he said “99% of music is haram” when mustafa made that “96% of music is haram” reference. He confused filly. He confused the muslims. He confused the viewers on the clear cut revelation that Music is haram. I lost respect for him and I didn’t even know who he was before this podcast.

Go to 1:28:00. After wasting all over our time and causing so much confusion on this topic. He says that! “I believe majority is haram. 96%” and clearly Filly after being BAFFLED for about 30mins replies “probably 99%”. I can understand why he’s fed up. Wt kind of episode was this. Him just waffling about Islam on clear cut haram and justifying it.

@@scientiosIt’s a way to emphasise how much I don’t respect him. The fact that I have heard his name few times but never knew of him. What was mentioned regarding him, was respectable, however after seeing this episode and how he is in the flesh, I lost that respect I had.
He spoke way too much. He kept eye contact and faced towards chunks the whole time. That can make another man feel a bit left out, having being invited by them both. He has a HORRIBLE personal opinion in the religion that not a single major scholar agrees with. Pure Ignorance is what he spoke with and confused all of us. Muslims & Non-Muslims. Go to 1:28:00, just look at filly and tell me he’s not fed up.

As-salamu-3alakum, Im just here to clarify the people about music in islam cuz them talking about it without evidences obviously would make anything seem believable so let me start with him talking about the sahaba recommended to use instruments as a call to prayer and him saying that if instruments were haram then why did they recommend the use of instruments, at that time the ruling of instruments was not ordered by Allah this is also synonymous with the prohibition of alcohol as many of the sahaba before the ruling of alcohol being haram ( it was only declared haram in the 8th year A.H. (Fath al-Bari vol.10 pg.38)). Secondly about garlic and the prophet not eating garlic and him also covering his ears when people were playing instruments and him saying that we all now eat garlic even tho the prophet did not, what the prophet meant was eating raw garlic as this is what would produce the pungent smell and hence was prohibited by Allah to enter a mosque after eating garlic and what we do today is cook the garlic hence the smell would be gone and would then be permissible (Ibn Qudaamah may Allaah have mercy upon him said, “It is disliked to eat onions, garlic, leeks, radish, and everything that has an unpleasant smell because of its smell, whether the person wants to enter the masjid or not, as the Prophet, sallallahu ʻalayhi wa sallam, said, ‘The angels are offended by the same things that people are offended by.’” [Ibn Maajah]) and him disregarding the opinions of scholars and saying we should stick to quran and sunnah, I dont think we would be able to understand the ahadiths and certain ayahs of the quran without scholars as we didnt not live at that time and didnt view certain things occurring like the moon splitting and Allah says {So ask the people of knowledge if you do not know} [an-Nahl 16:43]. so the major scholars opinion should be taken into account and be comprehended as they have been studying this religion more than any of us and if there is any dispute among the scholars we should then search and look at what opinion is closer to what the prophet and Allah intended and as he already said all four schools of thought that we all follow say its haram and thats what it should be and if any of you guys want some more evidences on why music is haram here is a useful website, Obviously no hate to this brother at all im just here to clarify to the audience that may not be well educated.

Islam is not subjective. It doesn’t matter what your opinion is, you need to follow the cold hard facts. Not your opinion.
With regards to music, if you associate with people who’s music is haraam for example Drake, than you are tarnished by the same light and if you were truthful and you believe music is halal, than you would disassociate your “halal” music with the haraam music of Drake and the likes. You can’t take a minority opinion and create your own rules for Islam. For argument sakes let’s say you can create music with instruments. For argument sakes…. Can you associate yourself with someone who creates haram music. Answer is no you can’t. So it’s a matter of you changing Islam to fit your lifestyle and we reject it.

Abu Maalik Ash'ari (radhiyallahu anhu) says that he heard Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) say: "Most certainly, there will be in my Ummah people who will make lawful fornication, silk, liquor and musical instruments." (Bukhaari 5590)
Abu Hurairah reported the Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) as saying “The bell is a wooden wind musical instrument of Satan. (Sunan Abi Dawud 2556)
“And there are among men, those that purchase idle tales, to mislead (men) from the path of Allah and throw ridicule. For such there will be a humiliating punishment.” (Surah Luqman, V. 6)
The great Companion Sayyiduna Abd Allah ibn Mas’ud (Allah be pleased with him) states in the explanation of the word “idle tales”:
“By Allah its meaning is music.” (Sunan al-Bayhaqi, 1/223 & authenticated by al-Hakim in his Mustadrak, 2/411)
“This verse was revealed in relation to singing and musical instruments.” (Tafsir ibn Kathir, 3/442)
Imam Ibn Abi Shayba related with his own transmission that he (Ibn Mas’ud) said: “I swear by Him besides Whom there is no God that it refers to singing.” (132/5)
Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: The interpretation of the Sahaabah and Taabi’in, that ‘idle talk’ refers to singing, is sufficient. This was reported with saheeh isnaads from Ibn ‘Abbaas and Ibn Mas’ood. Abu’l-Sahbaa’ said: I asked Ibn Mas’ood about the aayah (interpretation of the meaning), ‘“And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks’ [Luqmaan 31:6]. He said: By Allaah, besides Whom there is no other god, this means singing - and he repeated it three times. It was also reported with a saheeh isnaad from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with them both) that this means singing. There is no contradiction between the interpretation of “idle talk” as meaning singing and the interpretation of it as meaning stories of the Persians and their kings, and the kings of the Romans, and so on, such as al-Nadr ibn al-Haarith used to tell to the people of Makkah to distract them from the Qur’aan. Both of them are idle talk.

With regards to the discussion on music, Muslims need to be wary and stay away from this brothers false narrative. The 4 major schools of thought hold music to be haram for good reason because they base it of the clear evidences from the Quran and Sunnah of it being haram, such as:
Abu Malik al-Ash’ari (Allah be pleased with him) reports that he heard the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) say: “There will appear people in my Ummah, who will hold adultery, silk, alcohol and musical instruments to be lawful.” [Bukhari]
Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) said: “Soon there will be people from my Ummah who will consume alcohol, they will change its name (by regarding it permissible. m), on their heads will be instruments of music and singing. Allah will make the ground swallow them up and turn them into monkeys and swine.” [Ibn Hibban, Ibn Majah, with a sound chain of narration)
These clear cut undisputed evidences, amongst many others, show clear proof of it being haram, and any one who opposed this has opposed the messenger of Allah ﷺ. So let’s not let these “difference of opinion” merchants change our deen because truth is truth!
This brothers understanding reminds me of this verse where Allah says that people with sickness in their hearts will leave what’s clear and search for things that will suit them:
It is He who has sent down to you, [O
Muhammad], the Book; in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book - and others unspecific. As for those in whose hearts is deviation [from truth], they will follow that of it which is unspecific, seeking discord and seeking an interpretation [suitable to them]. And no one knows its [true] interpretation except Allah. But those firm in knowledge say, "We believe in it. All [of it] is from our Lord." And no one will be reminded except those of understanding.
    Quran 3:7
