are these push ravers or do you need a chasing hammer to use them?
Northern Wolf - thanks for asking... all the gravers I make are push gravers. No hammer is used in this video (by the way, if one *was* to use a hammer you would hold the tool backwards in the non-dominant hand, which would be the left hand for me) and you’d probably have to sharpen it differently, though I’ve very rarely tried that style of engraving.

@@mbootgae1497 thanks for asking. You could try using them with a chasing hammer on the stronger metals that you mention (choose the 3mm shank tool) but the tools are intended primarily for precious metals and copper and brass - but those are just the applications I have tried myself.
Can you list the graver shapes you used here? I have no idea what they are called.
