I miss my best friend 😕 I wish things could have worked out differently for us. I wish she was as ready as I was to spend our lives together…..letting her go was the hardest thing I have ever had to do for myself. But I can’t keep waiting and I can’t keep putting myself through so much pain over and over again when things don’t work out. I know that i will always love her and I cherish the good memories that I do have of our time together!

i can imagine as it took a decade of being best friends before i was ready to get into a relationship again. he was even there' several years ago for the last guy that cheated on me and that was actually the main reason it took me so long to trust someone agai. it was almost too late as he was leaving for the west coast but you can't make yourself attracted to someone emotionally even if they're your best friend, so it was the hardest thing for me as i wasn't attracted to himuntil I had several traumatic situations where people i thought were my family just backstabbed me and that actually was why i can't listen to this track without crying.
Those lonely thoughts because of bad judgements and jumping into prior relationships caused so much distrust and pain not just in myself but also my best friend as i put on the mask that i wasn't going to look for a relationship until i got my own mental health together but that also was because i wanted to be attracted to someone for who they are and always having my back even at my worst. now that i realized that i was already ready and so far life has been far better to get through with him by my side.
he's seen me as the class clown knowing that each joke was my coping mechanism for how rough and painful my life was especially before i met him my first week of university to the 9to5s now a decade later.
this is literallly one of the only tracks that completely gets us and how i appreciate him always being by my side and that i'm lucky enough to both in love with my best friend and my boyfriend.
you don''t realize how much better a crappy life is together with someone you love compared to isolation in a better off life alone.

I always said I would honest not just with myself but others too. This tune is without doubt a complete and utter masterpiece, an emotional and yet uplifting vibe that just makes me happy no matter what, genius tune. I was lucky to have the extended version sent to me by the boys management and again it is off the scale and the extra few minutes makes the difference, not just when playing it on our radio station where I work, to the public in a club or bar, but when I am in the car listening for me, its just incredible. When I got the notification that the video had dropped I couldnt help but rush to see it, and......... well........ its not what I expected, and personally I dont think its good enough for the monumental song, its like the videos we used to make 15 years ago with Go Pro's, a street look, a reportage look, but its completely devoid of any real emotion, sense, story and in no way linked to the lyrics. Great tune, bad video. Just being straight guys.

I think I agree...the video was a bit meh. I think the song elicits enough emotions the video should have just gone with some cool imagery.
I think the video fits nicely. Falling in love feels grand but is something tiny and personal between people, when little things and banalities are filled with meaning.
