I adore Cory's vocals behind Lea's specially on the studio version ugh perfection! This one and Last Christmas. How i miss their insane musical chemistry 🥺

U know what, Cory could flipping sing man!! But he wasn’t underrated, but his vocals were more so under appreciated, and he definitely had to work hard and push himself to sing the way he did here… like in this song, he was REALLY keeping up with Lea! His harmonies were on point, he was hitting very high notes for a male, and overall he sounded so good here!! Even between 10:14 - 10:28, where u just wanted to hear Lea’s high notes again, Cory also held that note with her the whole time!!! Man I wish we could go back in time sometimes… RIP Cory Monteith!!

Why does this makes me SO emotional? They sang so Good together… and just knowing that he‘s Not there anymore is heartbreaking…..😔
This month marks he’s 10th year anniversary miss him like crazy 😢
How have I never heard the extended version of this? This was so early on and Cory isn’t missing a beat. He really improved tremendously over the years. This is so pure and amazing but watch it back to back with their last duet “we’ve got tonight” and 🤯 Their chemistry is palpable and jumps off screen he has this rasp that I wish we got to hear more of. Gives me chills and makes me cry everytime.
If you think about it, they had a LOT of practice over the years, with coaching, so of course their voices got better. With Corey, he went from not being a singer to having a pretty good voice. With Lea, she refined her voice and learned to drop some bad habits.

She didn't have bad habits. The music director liked the squeak or whatever you want to call it said it gave her a signature sound.

There is a Finchel fanvid set to this version that came out right after Cory passed that still makes me misty.
I both want to watch that and don't because I'm not sure my heart can take it
If I didn't already love these two before this performance, this was the song that set Finchel in stone for me.
And the flashback scene where they're at Carmel High isn't from them competing. It was from their first field trip when Mr. Shue took them to see Vocal Adrenaline perform

Lea is amazing! She said (when filming Season 3) that Faithfully was the hardest song for her to sing on Glee.

Audrey, I think the high school they showed was Carmel Indiana...that would make sense since Indiana is next to Ohio and if it was something like Regionals. The one in Indiana is pronounced Car mul (the first pronunciation you used) instead of Car mel like the community in California.
In the show Carmel High was in Akron, Ohio. However I have read that the school was based off of the real Carmel high school that's located in Indiana.
I loved this song in the show, Lea’s high notes were amazing.

No one grew as much vocally as Cory did. By the time he sang Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, he had evolved so much that Season 1A Finn could Never have even Dreamed of singing the songs he ended up getting.
Off topic: This scene right here was a memory of mine that I can't remember where or when, I saw it when I was a very young kid and that memory still lingers in my brain 😀😀

I saw Glee entirely just few years ago. I did not get to see the show when it was launching real time. But Even though I did not grow up with them, I understand what they felt when Corey and other cast members pasted away.
I just can't imagine how hard this should have been for her. I can't imagine how I would feel if My boy dies. That's so heartbreaking. Because I love the show and because I love singing, you just got a new subscriber 😊❤

You talk about them lip syncing,,, I heard an interview once where Lea said that even though they had the songs pre recorded they would still sing for the taping so the physical sing/body movements would be real.

This song is the goal!!! I’m trying so hard to teach my partner to sing Finn’s part for karaoke!! He was never a karaoke performer but I’ve gotten him on the stage with shallow and his own solos but I want him to learn this to sing with me!

Great song, and I know this is about THIS SONG, but in the episode when Rachel tells Jesse they were better...WAS SHE INSANE???!!! It ruined how I view the ND setlist. I know competitions come down to nothing but opinions on who was better but COME ON.
