When I first started at UPS I did similar kind of unloading. We unloaded from drop frame trailers that had rollers in them. Then the shifter would jack the trailer all the way up so it would have an downhill incline to it. The rollers still didn't roll very well. Glad to see that everything seems to be going well. If you are looking to maintain drive time to get back to the DC, we had a trick that you may know. I was taught to get to the unload location the night before and get as close to the setup spot as possible. In the morning you can finish setting up and then get unloaded without setting off your Elog. After unloaded, do your pretrip and head out. But, if it took you 2 or 3 hrs to get unloaded, you save that time. Some drivers go on duty when they start unloading

I have been trying to figure out what part of KY you are from and just heard you say Mount Sterling. I'm in Winchester and have been to that truck stop many times. The number of stops, trailer loads, and miles. They have something called true-up, where you make $1700 a week minimun(before taxes) as long as you are on time to your stops.
It's touch freight. A whole different ball game than no touch freight. I prefer it myself. It's minimum $1700 a week(before taxes) as long as you are on time.

Your first payday is on the last Thursday that you’re there. After taxes it’s about $550.

Was Roehl and the family dollar account both good with getting you home on time every weekend?
Roehl was good about it. So far, the family dollar account with us xpress has been less home time and they say their schedule isn't consistent.

I thought truck drivers made at least 2000 or more per week minimum. I make 900 a week as a waiter... was hoping to hear about more money...

You get a 34 hour reset for the weekend. I've been going home Friday and leaving Sunday.
