Young saint, we are to be careful not to offer strange fruit to God. Many people are being misled to believe that God will accept any and all forms of worship. That teaching is false. We are to offer God a pure heart that will result in a pure life (this is inclusive of our thought life). In John 4, Jesus tells us that God is a spirit and they that worship must worship in both spirit and in truth. God will only accept worship via the avenue of His Holy Spirit ( the same Holy Spirit that will lead you and guide you into all truth according to John 16:13). True worship will always result in a revelation of the person of Jesus: which, in turn, will result in a deeper walk with Jesus (which should always be our heart desire). In love, a brother in the faith.

These are two of my favorite ministers of music ever. I remember listening to Rance Allen as a little girl (i.e., "Ain't No Need of Crying When It's Raining). I love this song and it's style that makes it stand out and different from all other versions. However, I saw a comment on the D'Angelo style. It is a style of music and not the lyrics or songs of D'Angelo (whom I have never heard of prior to this). Nonetheless, all things belong to God and are good and pure until man defiles it. Of course, to the pure all things are pure. The style introduced here in this song, put the footprint for the intensity of it both in song and in meaning. Satan had nothing to do with that because if he did, it would not be an effective song. The introduced style, nonetheless, may have also made the generation that knows the style to identify with the song and the truth of it. While we do not have to be like the world, we need to relate as Jesus did to His generation. His generation were mainly farmers, carpenters, and so forth; thus, his parables were tailored for them to communicate the truths He desired to convey. Again, it was not lewd nor demeaning to the song; but it added to its power. This is a wonderful, powerful, song that encourages one not to give up and to know that they can do all things through Christ.
