Great video! The blue looks cool. I just got the MK3 and I am in the process of assembling it right now. That was cool that your daughter (I assume) popped in and out during your timelapse. My grandson has been helping me with my MK3 build. Great to have the little ones involved I think.
They totally need to offer a blue parts option. Then again, printing my own gave me an excuse to upgrade some of my parts while getting the color I wanted.
@@MrArmageddonBuilds Oh I saw those on Aliexpress before but I was talking about all the orange 3d parts. Why doesn't Prusa sell the printers in different colors? I feel like they could sell way more because it would be peoples favorite colors right out of the box and they dont have to print all their parts just to get what they want
There are users that will print the parts in the color you want for a fee. Just ask around on the Prusa Community Facebook page for someone in your area that can do it.
Hey I love the video man, about to rebuild my prusa mk2s right now. Any tips you have for how to save most time and headache replacing the printed parts?
Patrick Murphy, can't think of anything that will really save time. Just be sure to check more than once that you have all the parts you need printed before you start taking yours apart. Take your time and follow the instructions from the newest version of the manual if you get stuck.
How do you like your Misumi bearings? Which specific model did you order for your machine? Did you order them directly from Misumi or through a supplier? Thanks!
Steve L, I used Hatchbox PLA and ABS for these parts. The main improvements are easier to square up Frame (had skewing issues with my last build, these parts fixed it), quieter operation with the new rods and bearings, better cooling and less noise from the 40mm fan upgrade. So far my prints are coming out perfect. Cable chain was more For looks, but I really like it 😁
Super cool video man. So the blue parts are a mix of ABS and PLA, with ABS used for heat-exposed stuff? And the color of those two filaments just happened to match nearly perfectly?
Austin Vojta, yes, ABS around the Hotend and Extruder, PLA everywhere else. Took a while to find matching colors. Will probably go PETG for everything next go around.
MrArmagedd0n pretty awesome man. I have pre-ordered a MK3, my plan is to print the parts as soon as Prusa releases the files. So I can use PETG for everything and ensure the printed parts are of good quality, plus customize the color, before I even do the initial assembly. :)
Great Video. I have seen you Project log, but do you have the link to the PSU Y axis mount you have there? I cannot for the life of me find that on Aaron Yorks page. I am referring to the threaded rod covers you show on 1:04 .

I love the blue! Almost makes me wish prusa used that instead of orange.

where did you find the back rods ? They are not at Aaron's tinkercad page also i cant find the Y frame, the gray one
Do they sell them in different colors? if not they should
Look into the "Prusa Bear" Mod. They sell upgraded replacement frames in all kinds of colors.

MrArmagedd0n thanks for the quick reply! I’ll let you know how it goes.

So far they are working out really well. I purchased them directly from Misumi USA, LMU8 Linear Bushings
Great video! Do you have one on your enclosure?
John Wall , yep! ua-cam.com/video/5UYJ-nNelPk/v-deo.html
Would you mind if you can share what filament are you using? Are there any major improvement over the stock MK2S setup?

Nice, sounds like a good plan.

I'd like to know that too.
looking for this file as well
where did you find that pt100 shroud and rambo board cover? cant find it on thingiverse
Justin weller, check out Aaron York's profile on TinkerCAD. He has created some great upgrades for the MK2s.
thanks for the advice I'll go check that out
did u print in abs or pla or petg?
James Rotondo, parts near the extruder are ABS. Rest of the parts are PLA. Will do everything in PETG next time.
Can we hear it? I wonder is the sound reduced?
for that, get ceramic linear bearings, look them up
