579 - I'm shiny hunting my childhood Diamond team! LIVE Shiny Chimchar after 648 SRs in BD (+Starly)

- The first part of my Brilliant Diamond Nostalgia Team Quest!!! I got very lucky and had 2 very quick phases - I'm honestly glad I got to experience what it's like to get the uncatchable Starly because it motivated me even more to get this magnificent ape.
This appeared 648 resets after the Starly, which appeared after 382 resets, so I did 1030 resets overall and saw 2060 Pokemon total over the course of this 20 hour hunt!
Next I go for "Sparkplug" the Shinx!
This was the happiest I’ve been for someone else’s shiny!! So glad you got it and can keep playing through!

Now I checked on that characteristic, and there's actually a chance that its Attack IV could be lower than 31, BUT in an IV calculator, it's at least a 26 :D

I didn't get to experience gen 4. I'm glad I can finally get the chance! I do have a pearl cartridge but it barely works, lol. I'm currently hunting Chimchar, hoping your luck rubs off on me😌

Got my shiny piplup while resetting for a modest nature...well I didn't get a modest nature BUT after like 10 resets I saw the sparkles. Wish it was always like this...XD

I remember when i started platinum for the first time, my other friends choose turtwig and chimchar, which left me with piplup. Because i wanted to choose the starter that they didn't. after choosing piplup it had an impact on me which has lead to me mainly picking the water type starters for the every game afterwards.

I literally started my game the same. As the youngest of 3 boys, I got my game last and the only one of the starters not chosen was Chimchar so I was stuck with the fire monkey that I have grown to love over the years.
