  • Winter is coming, and that means that the shop is slowing down and we turn our attention to longer term projects such as this rebuild of a 1967 Yamaha YR1engine. But really we're just using this as an opportunity to talk a little tech. In this (split) case, we're talking about vertically and horizontally split cases, and also getting into some details on transmissions. Good stuff.
Feel free to chime in on anything you'd like to see more of or hear more about, and as always-thanks for watching!

I raced an old RD 400. My friend had a TD3. I've never seen transfer ports like that. Very cool, and thanks for sharing

Hi brother, love your vids. I'm 68, haven't ridden since my 20's but seeking a used cruiser. May you recommend a 'bullet proof' comfortable used cruiser. Thanks for any info.

@@steveng8727 It's hard to go wrong with a Honda. Get as light of a machine as possible that will fulfill your needs-for example, if you don't plan on doing a ton of highway miles, don't get anything bigger than a 750 (a Yamaha v-star 650 also fits the bill nicely). If you do want to tour long distance, don't assume you need an 800 pound Harley. It's very important being able to be comfortable on your bike at low and no speeds.
