This is a piece I wrote with my son, Benjamin Lange, for our friend Karen Lebens, honoring her wish to welcome her new totem pole into the world with music this Spring of 2022.
I can’t read the plaque either but my eyes are pretty bad. The plaque was date of birth and date of passing of our friend Karen who commissioned the pole. It’s located at her house in Port Townsend Washington.Yes My son Benjamin is playing Mandolin. He composed his part against my minimalist accordion part. We played it in real time together
