I remember when I was still a little kid, my Chinese neighbours were the nicest people I've ever known. These people were from the lower rank of middle class. They were so giving and caring.
At that time, I stayed at the ground floor. They would usually go up to my window to give my younger sister and I stuff like chocolates, snacks, soft drinks etc.
Maybe because they knew that my mom was working two jobs, a HDB cleaner in the morning and a production line worker in the afternoon. I guess they saw how she struggled to bring us up.
When I was 4 years old, I used to cry a lot at the staircase outside my house. Punished for no reason. This frail old Chinese lady always came to my rescue. She's my angel and I always think about her when I'm sad.
Because of these experiences, I told myself that whenever I have a chance to help anyone, I would not look at their skin color. We all belong to one race, that is, the human race.
Spread love. Not hate.

When I was homeless and had nowhere to go, a Filipino family took me in. I lived with them like a daughter, and like a sister to their children even though I was a young adult. I stayed with them for 2 years. I eventually met my husband in church, got a job, and live a comfortable and blessed life. I will never forget the kindness of that Filipino couple.

One time, about 9 or 10 years ago, I was at a Subway in a bus station, I ordered a sub, I thought there was enough money on my card to pay for the sandwich, but there wasn't. I couldn't get the sandwich, so I left and said thanks anyway. Then, another customer signaled me to come over, she bought me the sandwich. I told her she didn't have to, but she said "it's okay, no problem". She was so nice to do that.

Also , I remembered that my father had experienced such a thing when he was alive. one day my papa bought some fruits and fishes in the super market, he found that his money wasn't enough to pay, but later, he was given the money by a man who behind him, that man known my father's difficulty so he given it for my father,however,my father was trying to refuse, but last my father he accepted it and was being so grateful.
that's the true story that my father told me before.

So many people in my life have done things for me I could not do or was not able to do. I try to pass this on whenever I can. I loved this video. Had me crying.
