Yeah. Both those things get on my nerves too, but the invention of refillable air cans is a cool notion that became reality. I didn't know that this compressed air device would be showcased with this odd music though. :)
Do u make a nozzle for stream for that handy dandy can there? I am canning my own pepper from Ghost Peppers, a 15 foot stream would be just about right.
I have never used this product but from the sound of it there are a lot of buyers who really have no business buying one and are setting themselves and the mfg up for disappointment. This isn’t to be mean but if you don’t have a compressor, cannot measure psi, or can’t understand why thick paint won’t atomize, you should probably stick to prefilled cans. Even professional spray guns require those things. This is a great convenience if you use a lot of the same products(solvents, rust inhibitors, penetrating oils, etc.) It is NOT a replacement for the proper equipment to spray a car or even a one-off lawn furniture job. Just buy the prefilled cans. Remember, for the price of the You Can, a quart of paint, a gallon of thinner, and all the stuff for mixing you would need a job requiring easily $50 or more of spray cans and a lot of extra time. Think you’ll buy this, a quart of Rustoleum, and hit the gas station or your tire pump for air to lay down that awesome “Fast and Furious” flame job on your lowered Civic? Wrong application. Not dogging the product - it’s a great idea - but the end user still has to have the ability to properly select its use and knowledge of how to paint. Additionally, prefilled paint cans don’t use regular room air for pressure. That would set off the paint and it would not last in the can. If I can find one I would love to use it for penetrating mixtures, solvents, and the like.
Hey, we used to use PreVal sprayers in my family's shop to spray layout die on steel. So, when my wife bought this wicker thing for the patio that needed refinished, i thought of spraying on the stain. i ran across one of these at a going out of business sale, and the son-of-a-gun worked perfectly to spray stain on that crazy-ass wicker couch. The only thing wrong with this gadget is me. i couldn't mess with it for a day, and when i went to unscrew the nozzle part, there was still pressure in the bottle, which blew the bastard across the room - and i still haven't found it.
@@jacquardproducts I just bought one of these. How do you release the pressure, so that you can unscrew the cap to change out the paint color/contents?
How well does it work with emulsion and masonry paint? Just because I’ve tried the trick with weed sprayers and I’ve found (unless I’ve done it wrong) that the paints too thin for it to spray out and opacity is dire, or it’s just doesn’t spray
Thanks for replying to all the questions jacquardproducts. So I've bought your YouCAN now, and hopefully will be able to give a review on it at some point. Have a few more things I need your insight on: Question 1: Most spray cans have a marble rattling in them to mix the paint better, would you recommend me putting one in your YouCAN, if so, what size. So far the can is performing quite well, added Reducer to the Car paint as recommended by the paint mixing store. Question 2: It splurts a little bit of paint at the start of pressing the Cap, any suggestions on that?
Glad to hear you got your hands on a YouCAN and it is performing well. We'll look forward to hearing more feedback, perhaps in the form of a review. 1. Never hurts to put in a mixing ball, though only necessary with certain types of media. Any size should be fine. 2. You can clear the paint by holding the can upside and depressing until no fluid comes out. Do that when you are finished spraying (or right before you start) and you shouldn't have any issues with spurting.
Hobby Lobby, Artist & Craftsman, most independent art supply stores...online you can get it from Dick Blick or Dharma Trading Company. Where are you located?
Hmmm, we say product should be tinned to the consistency of whole milk or thinner. If you continue having trouble, please reach out at 800.442.0455 or email techsupport@jacquardproducts.com and we'll be more than happy to help
Over the weekend, I found a site that says the can is 15 oz.............? jet.com is the site. If its really a 16 oz can, they might want to change site info. Also might be a good idea to put that info on the package, since there is nothing on the package, but (fill a 1/3 full)..... soon as the item came, "I'm like, a 1/3 of what". No can size....... I can finally try the can out. Thanks for the response!
You buy 2 cans, fill both with liquid as shown and then compress one and count the number of pumps until it explodes; then you pump one less into the other one. Or if you want to be boring about it you could buy a pump with a built-in pressure gauge like he has shown here, and if you really wanted to make it a snooze-fest you could back off at 85 PSI or so to allow for gauge inaccuracies, manufacturing tolerances, temperature fluctuations, etc.
Thanks for the reply, so can I use paint that is normally used with a spray gun, and just pour that into your YOUCAN? Or does it need other special things added?
ok great, I'll give it a go. The paint shop said I shouldnt buy it in a pot (to add to the YOUCAN), as I'll be missing the hardener and 'reducer?' thats in their 'pre filled cans'
I just hope its safe lol. I sent Jacquard Products a message on Facebook months ago asking if they themselves knew of any reviews they could share about it, but I got totally ignored. We'll see if they reply here. The only review on amazon.com mentions a defective O Ring, which made it leak, but that could just be a one off. I've bought one now, but..... nervous haha. So many reviews for other refillable ones so its very strange. Cmon Jacquard products, say something please? P.s. im skeptical already, but the video music adds to the creepyness :P
Great product - except for the actual spray nozzle. The fine spray tip flies out of the cap, never to be seen again - and then the "spray" can becomes a "squirt" or "dribble" can.
@@jacquardproducts NO it is NOT. I have a shelf full of them - without exception, they are all "male" spray cans requiring a "female" cap. The YouCAN is a "female" can with a "male" cap. I have however found a supply of "male" caps on eBay and should receive these within the next week or so.
@@AusMiner glad to hear it, and sorry for the confusion. In our markets, most caps are male. For example: www.dickblick.com/products/montana-spray-caps/
I really wish there was a smaller one of these. It'd be a lot more useful for a guy like me who only sprays small amounts of colour - since I'm a model maker and all. That and then I wouldn't have to import one of those specialty kits from Japan.

It is an aluminum can
May i ask if you can put cosmetic products in? Like face mist or sunscreen?
Yes, that should work well!
Can i use this for automotive 2k paint and can i fill it up with air compressor ?
you should be able to. Just use lacquer thinner after each use.
How long will this last ?
If you fill it with flammable material such as acetone, is there a risk of explosion when pressurizing it with air?
I saw this at Hobby Lobby today, will be getting one next trip. Great product!

for sure!
